I don't like the EDP 445 Documentary and think it serves almost zero purpose, even though I am the target audience and have full context as to why certain decisions were made.

I just feel like it mostly functions as a shock piece that will ultimately result in nothing of real consequence. I would love nothing more to be wrong and see JiDion and EDP have real world consequences but I'm not holding my breath. Most of the information I had on the EDP445 situation comes from videos/sources outside of this documentary, such as Tom's video on JiDion (I think he also had one on Alex Rosen that was taken down.) Other than direct quotes from JiDion that IMO are self incriminating, and a blatant showcase of how remorseless EDP is, this doc provided me no new information. And unfortunately, because of certain decisions that were made, it kneecaps the potential impact it could have had.

At surface level I think a lot of normies hate this thing because they knew absolutely nothing about EDP. I myself did not know who EDP was until Alex Rosen's original failed sting operation happened. Without proper context, so much of the documentary can be interpreted the wrong way. The jokey/meme sections with EDP in suspenders and the crowd of Internet personalities inserted at the end are two that stick out to me. I initially took issue with these because I felt they dragged down the point of making this, but later realized they exist because they are a reflection of their subject. EDP lived his life in a way where he was completely isolated to the internet and when that was stripped away from him he had nothing left. Internet fame is all he has, and he's attempting to clutch to the last strand of it. This is why he kept attempting to return to YouTube post ban (Thank you for the coverage Diesel Patches) which again is more information I have that comes from outside of the documentary (unless I am mistaken, it wasn't covered.) Thankfully the documentary does not make him look good or any kind of redeemable, but I still think having these memey sections was unnecessary.

The other section I took issue with, and easily the most offensive thing in the Doc, is when a child was filmed in close proximity to EDP. I don't care if this is something their parent allows and happens regularly outside of the documentary. I don't care if it was done under parental supervision. I don't care about the context. This should not have been filmed. If the doc had a stronger point to its existence, I would even be willing to say this one scene pushes it into Cannibal Holocaust territory. However I think the film truly only exists to start a conversation, and it's definitely done that. It is not social commentary like Cannibal Holocaust is.

I'm not here to shit on people that enjoyed this. Frankly I'm happy you're getting something this high quality. I don't think Mike Clum is a bad person, but I hope his next doc doesn't try to outdo this one. Bringing this level of production to Lolcow coverage is interesting to say the least. But I'm not gonna pretend I enjoyed this thing.

I think that's it but I wanna say one last thing.

Years ago when I first dipped my toes into the lolcow documentary sphere, I did so through Cecil McFly videos. I learned about people like Pixyteri and Fedsmoker, the later of which is probably my favorite.

At some point, I made the mistake of watching her Nick Bates video. I'm not going to detail who Nick Bates is specifically, but he is the same type of person EDP is but worse as he has actually offended and went to prison for it. If you decide to look into him, PLEASE tread lightly. Cecil's video is extremely informative, but I actually started to dry heave while watching and had to turn it off and return to it days later (I refused to let it get the better of me) It is probably the worst piece of content I have ever consumed on YouTube solely for it's subject matter and nothing else.

I have now sat through the EDP Doc 2 times and never had anything like that happen. However, I feel like if we ever get conformation that EDP has successfully offended anytime before the documentary was made, this doc will become the worst thing I have ever watched on YouTube. I'm curious if that would recontextualize it for anyone else as well.

My sincerest hope, is that EDP continues to be a fucking loser in all aspects of his life, and dies having accomplished absolutely nothing. That is the most realistic and best outcome possible. Also fuck JiDion, I hope that fucker loses his court case.

Rinnegatamante responds and admits to everything (PlayStation Vita Community Drama)

tl;dr he admitted and owned up to literally everything. Honestly, respect.

I get this is the "boring" outcome for you guys but i'd much rather someone own their mistakes and grow from them. Regardless I did post about it in here so I wanted to show the resolution.

Insane Drama in the PlayStation Vita community (Yes really)

tl;dr, Guy that ran the largest Vita homebrew repository had a meltdown after his discord server was taken down for racist ToS violations he posted, and then tried to blame it on AI slop vibecoders.

Finally I get to talk about something related to my namesake in here. Basically, in the PlayStation Vita community there is (or was) a massive online repository for Homebrew called Vita DB run by Rinnegatamante. If you were looking for downloads for your Vita, such as Homebrew ports or applications, you went to Vita DB. There was even an app for Vita called Vita DB downloader that allowed You to download directly from the repository instead of having to transfer the files using a computer.

Anyways, recently there's been a huge influx of AI created homebrew ports within the community. There's always been annoying port beggars in the community, and the Vita got a lot of Android ports both officially back in the day and since then due to its high compatibility with Android. I think this goes without saying but people in the gaming community generally don't like AI so these "vibecoded" ports are heavily looked down upon.

A few days ago Rinnegatamante left the community and pulled Vita DB after taking a firm stance on AI developed ports, claiming detractors mass reported his discord server and had it taken down. This is the first image you are seeing.

HOWEVER, this is a cover. What actually happened is he posted a bunch of alt right racist bullshit in his server and broke Discord ToS, which resulted in the server being taken down. He then scrambled to try and cover it up and blamed it on the AI ports. The second screenshot I've posted is what he said that got the server taken down.

There may be some minor details missing, but from what I understand this is what actually happened. I sat on this for a few days to make sure it all played out and I had my facts straight.

Disgaea 2 Dark Hero Days PSP, how do I access the DLC at the very end of the game?

Sorry if this is annoying, I'm testing a ton of PSP DLC for a preservation effort. I've never played this series before.

I grabbed a 100% save online and I'm in a camp with a ton of Prinnys. All the tutorials I've seen are like this and I can't seem to access this "summoning experiments" option.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzjLXQasnGc

Is it under a different option at the end of the game? Keep in mind the DLC MAY not be working, that's part of what I am testing.

Thank you for the Help.

Recently finished watching the 12 hour Bowblax Mega-vod and have a question.

There was a part during that drama where Bowbie says something along the lines of "I have a better relationship with random who gives-a-shits like Xylie and Stardust than I do with you!" (in refrence to Nick) and Clearly throws Xylie and Stardust under the bus as if their friendship means nothing to him.

My question is, did Xylie ever respond publicly? I imagine if they were actually friends she very likely let him have it after a slap in the face like that lol.

Frogan apparently got assaulted

As much as I don't like her I don't think she deserves this. However, I genuinely don't think this happened. It's been over 24 hours and she has posted zero proof, and has a track record of faking this sort of thing for attention.

New leaks apparently point to Kuihman having pulled strings behind the scenes to destroy Chud Logic's Commentary community connections (Nick, Willy and Tommy) Apparently Tommy called this months ago.

Tweet Link

I don't actually know what's going on here cause I rarely watch Tommy but thought I'd pass it along.

It makes me wonder if Kuihman had anything to do with the New Year's dress leak thing

I am watching the entirety of the fabled New Year's stream for the first time. This is absolute chaos.

There is literally a part 3 hours into this where Nick randomly starts roleplaying as DarkViper talking about his girlfriend licking his shitty asshole clean.

You think I am making that up but I am not, wish I had a timestamp.

Also learned who Kinetic Kell was and why she dropped off the face of the earth almost immediately.

This really needs to be a yearly tradition. So much chaos from just 1 stream.

I would like new GC memory cards to use on my Wii, what are the modern day options?

I have an original GC memory card from Nintendo as well as a Madcatz one. Both are from when i was little and are surprisingly still kicking. The Nintendo one has occasional read issues but ends up working. I would like to retire both for a more modern option. My Wii is hacked and I play digital backups of all my games stored on an sd card in the wii's sd card slot, but GC games still need a memory card to save properly.

I come from the PSP scene and typically people use what's called a Memory Stick Pro Duo to Micro SD Converter. They work on stock systems and just allow you to use micro SD's for storage. I've been looking around for a bit to see if a similar solution exists for Gamecube and it seems like it exists but I'm confused. Most of them seem to be for launching games/homebrew and not actually saving.

Are there gamecube memory cards I can buy that use Micro SD cards as storage?

What exactly is the deal with the r/nicholasdeorio subreddit?

I've made jokes in the past that it's the containment sub, but I genuinely don't understand it's purpose. There seems to be a completely different crowd of people over there (there's a different vibe when you go through the posts) so the containment sub moniker seems more accurate than I thought. However, I did happen to notice that Nick is not a moderator over there, so I'm assuming it also exists as a facet of his community that he doesn't have direct control over

On the other hand, I genuinely think people just don't understand Clipped Live is Nick's sub lol. I kind of think somebody created that sub not understanding Clipped Live exists

Can someone that owns Game Key Cards please explain to me exactly how they work?

From my understanding, Game Key Cards work like this: The GKC has NO playable game data on it, it merely has a license that tells your console you have permission to download the data for the corresponding game. That data is then downloaded to storage you provide, wether it be the Switch 2's Internal Storage or a Micro SD Express.

If this is correct... aren't you technically paying twice? You pay once to buy the game, then again to provide the storage for it. Generally if you buy a normal cartridge release you only pay once because the storage is provided for you, outside of additional downloads like DLC or updates.

I know I'm preaching to the choir in this specific community, but are people seriously okay with this? I understand the main concern with these is ownership and not actually having a physical representation of the thing you paid for in your possession, but you really are paying twice. Companies like Square Enix are also charging $70 for a lot of their releases, and those are big games that take up a lot of space, so the consumer really gets screwed in those types of cases. I couldn't even see GKCs being a viable option when heavily discounted, the format is ultimately more inconvenient than a normal digital purchase.

I rarely see this exact point brought up so I have a feeling I may be misunderstanding something, cause to me this is the actual deal breaker. I've owned digital games for years but these are like digital games coming to you in the most inconvenient and expensive form possible.
