$778 For This. Is it Art?

To be clear the dial is the back of the watch. I love art and design and I get that you sometimes have to push the envelope. This is silly though. Right?

Beware of Counterfeit Iwata

Two identical Iwata Eclipse? The one on the top is a counterfeit from Amazon. I'd never have known but for a post on reddit. I crossed referenced the post with the Iwata website and my was indeed a counterfeit. I was able to get a partial refund from Amazon and bought my new one from a verified Iwata reseller.

The biggest difference I see is that the genuine Iwata has a much thinner needle and the trigger has a much better/smoother feel.

Amazon buyer beware!

Help! My Iwata Eclipse Is Fake!

I bought my Iwata on Amazon a few months ago, and after reading this thread, I’m worried that my airbrush is counterfeit.

https://www.reddit.com/r/airbrush/comments/1ulg6l5/counterfeit_iwata_airbrushes_amazon/

My airbrush has several of the red flags mentioned in the thread, including no “swoosh” on the hologram and chrome front threading.

I’m new to the hobby, so I initially assumed the problems I was having were due to inexperience. However, I’ve always found this airbrush difficult to use. The spray is inconsistent, and it seems to clog very easily, even after trying different paint consistencies and thoroughly cleaning the airbrush.

At this point, it’s starting to take the enjoyment out of the hobby, so I’d really appreciate some advice.

Could a counterfeit airbrush cause issues like inconsistent spraying and frequent clogging, or are these problems more likely due to operator error?

$10 Su 17/22

Found a Kopro 1/48 SU 17/22 at my local thrift store for $10. I'm not really a jet guy but at that price it was a easy yes. Box is beaten up but everything is present. I know nothing about the brand.

They also had 5 (!) MiG Fulcrum at the same price.

What Can I Do About This?

The ally out the back of my house has never been great, but this is outrageous!

I bought my house just over a year ago and the back ally has always been messy. The property on the left of the picture is cut up into several apartments and no one really takes care of the trash. Their trash cans are often tipped over/full/in the street for several days. I'm a live and let live kinda guy so i just move them if I need to. Its whatever.

The last week has seen a marked increase in trash being strewn about the ally. The apartments had a crew working on there for several days and it looks like some people moved out. Now there are four piles that have just appeared in the last couple of days. My property starts this side of the fence the mattress are leaning against.

Who can I call about this shit just rotting in the rain?

What Next?

I need a little help. For the first time I am cycling a tank with filter media from an established tank. I left it a few days and did my first water test.

I am confused by the NO2 results. I tested twice.

How should I proceed from here? Thank you!

Das Werk Schwerer Kleiner Panzer - Heavy Tank Project 1944

I know not everyone is into "paper panzers" but as soon as I saw the clean lines on this kit I had to try it. I went with the 90mm antitank build as it kinda looks like a bigger Hertzer. I kept the stowage light to preserve the clean lines.

This was my second tank build and the first time I tried airbrushing and a camouflage pattern. I also used pigments and mud effects for the first time.

Overall I'm happy with it. I made some mistakes and can't get the sheen off the decals.

Love to hear any tips/feeback!

Finnegan in Foliage

I (now) know that it's toxic and have moved to another area that off limits for him.

u/PaleontologistLow529 — 5 months ago

I'm building the Das Werk Schwerer Kleiner Panzerkampfwagen. It is the second kit I have built and the first one I'm airbrushing. Its gone pretty good and I'm at the point of adding stowage, but only about half this stuff is in the instructions. In particular-

4, 5, 9, 10,11 and 15.

I also have no idea what these parts are. Maybe some one could help me out? I've searched the kit but there are very few results. Thanks!
