Slow rising HCG

I’m in such a weird limbo with this pregnancy.

Backstory, this was my first IVF fully medicated FET which I thought ended in a chemical as the second beta dropped by 50% (first beta (7/31) was 82, second (8/3) was 44) My doctor instructed me to stop all medication (PIO, estrace etc), and I had a bleed that week. In hindsight they should have followed up and made me go in for a third beta to confirm it was a chemical because now I suspect this was a lab error.

Fast forward 11 days after I was told I had a chemical, they discovered I am still pregnant through a scan and since then have resumed my medication. In that scan (8/14) we saw a yolk sac and fetal pole, HCG was 1776 but progesterone was 1 (due to me stopping all meds when my clinic told me it was a chemical!). Yesterday (8/18) I went in for another scan as I was spotting, HCG was 3675 and fetal heart beat 115, progesterone is now 44. Have another scan next week but not sure if this slow rise in HCG is a sign this is not viable. I have an ounce of hope this is a miracle given this has been such a roller coaster! Any similar stories or advice?

I’m just trying to be realistic and have gone through prior losses…

HCG levels dropped but see fetal pole and yolk sac

I thought my first FET ended up in a chemical pregnancy. My first beta looked good but second beta dropped significantly and was told my period should be coming. It came about 5 days after. Fast forward, I went in to get bloodwork done and also asked for a scan today. There was a clear fetal pole and yolk sac. My doctor now thinks I did not get a period. I’m so confused and already mourned this loss but don’t think it’s a viable pregnancy either way given the DPT. Has this happened to anyone? Success stories?

RPL changes you

I’ve had 5 losses in the last 14 months and feel like it’s changed me so much. I don’t have any interest in seeing friends because they’re all enjoying their pregnancies or recently had their first kids. It’s hard to be around them right now when I’m feeling hopeless and discouraged. I don’t enjoy any prior hobbies because everything revolves around IVF and getting pregnant (and any form of activity or exercise feels like a don’t). It’s incredibly lonely and while I have an amazing partner, I just miss the old me.

How did some of you cope with RPL and finding joy during it all? I feel like a shell of a person

Pregnant after 3 losses

Hi everyone,

I just found out I’m pregnant today 10DPO, after 3 losses in the past year. 2 were MMC we discovered at the 9 week mark but measured 6w4d and 1 chemical. One tested for abnormal chromosomes (trisomy 8).

We were in the process for IVF given I’m 36 and history of RPL. All my testing came back normal. We have 4 euploids and the transfer was supposed to be in my next cycle. I’m scared I just delayed everything if this pregnancy doesn’t progress.

It’s still so early but any advice on what you did differently to carry a healthy pregnancy after recurrent loss. I’ve been taking my prenatals, CoQ10, NAD and vitamin D.

Thank you ✨

Frozen eggs result

I froze 11 eggs when I was 33 and decided to thaw following RPL (3 miscarriages, 36F). Out of 11, 10 survived and 5 made it to blastocyst. Still awaiting PGT-A results given one loss was chromosomal abnormality. Happy with this outcome so far and grateful I did this a few years ago🙏🏼 If you did PGT-A, how many euploids did you end up with?

3 early miscarriages and all testing normal

I’ve had 3 miscarriages, 2 at the 6w mark and one chemical. One tested for trisomy 8 and the others are unknown. I’ve done all the RPL testing, karyotype test etc. including an endometrial biopsy to test for endometritis. Everything came back normal. I’ve pushed to check for silent endometriosis but my doctor believes these losses attribute to chromosomal abnormalities (and because I’m 36). He doesn’t think a laparoscopy makes sense at this stage and suggested to try naturally or IVF with PGT-A. Has anyone pushed for additional testing if you think something was missed? I can’t fathom another loss and have no answers…

I froze 11 mature eggs at 33 and fast forward now, I’m 36, married and have had RPL. I’m planning to thaw and fertilize these eggs + PGT-A embryo testing. I’ve read that most eggs are lost in the thawing process. Does anyone have a similar experience and can share the outcome? My thawing is next Monday and nervous since my losses have been chromosomal and counting on these younger eggs
