Samuel Adams Boston Lager

Always enjoyable when I can get hold of this one, miss it when it was more available everywhere a few years back

Primator 16 Czech lager

This is a good find, Laithwaites are doing a mixed pack of Czech beer from Primator brewery not had the 16 before and it’s excellent

Waitrose upping their game

Thanks to being mentioned on here I picked a few of these beauties up as well as a 6 pack of Sam Adams lager in Waitrose this weekend. There’s no fanfare no big displays and the cans would have been lost in the array of craft offerings if I hadn’t read about it on here so cheers 🍻

Italian brewed Moretti ?

Saw some discussion on here recently how the stuff in pubs has taken a dive in taste when it used to be a fairly reliable mass produced beer. Well I’ve just seen this in my local corner shop.

Italian brewed ? I didn’t get any as I have mass of good beer in the house but may go back tomorrow for quality testing purposes!

Best option for a DAP with Spotify ?

I’m thinking of getting a DAP initially I was going to get a basic mp3 player with Bluetooth but now I’ve seen some have Spotify and I think this would suit my use case more having the option to load my big playlists onto something with a large SD card.

I was looking at the Innioasis G5 but seen a bit of negativity on the build quality and battery so wondering if there are any other better options pit there ?

DWP Garnishing state pension for private debt - England

I have a vunerable elderly neighbour who received a letter from the DWP advising her that a private company who she took out a loan with some years ago has contacted the DWP and asked to garnish the ladies state pension weekly to recover the debt a request to which they have agreed.

I asked for proof of the debt which the DWP have sent and the loan document states the last time the lady paid anything towards the debt was in March 2020 which I believe means the debt is now statute barred?

The DWP say the loan document the lady signed had a clause which said she agreed to her benefits potentially being garnished in this way if she defaulted so I don't know if this complicates the statute barring situation?

Any advise on how to approach this would be appreciated. I'm aware from some research we should not acknowledge the debt but I don't know how she goes about correctly contacting the loan company without doing so? so advise on that would be also appreciated.

pellicci's is it always rammed with tourists ?

I used to live in Bethnal Green many years ago and find myself there for work next Monday and fancied going to pellicci's for a bit of nostalgia but fully aware it’s very much on the tick tock insta trail now.

My question is will it be rammed on a Monday lunchtime or will I be able to grab a breakfast easily before my appointment? If yes any other good recommendations for a good lunch in the area ?

First cook on Karu 2

First two on my Karu 2 , the meat and onion was a bit over done but I quite like it like that tbh, my wife’s the cheese I was really trying not to burn and thought looked perfect but she said parts of the dough were still raw ! We go again and try and improve

48hr dough ?

Hi first timer looking for a bit of advice.

Just bought the Karu 2 and looking to do my first cook this weekend , Saturday was meant to be great weather and I had planned to make the dough Friday for a 24hr dough as the recipe said but now the forecast says Saturday will be a washout so Monday is our new goal for first cook.

My question though can I make my dough on the Saturday and cook on the Monday ? So that’s 48hrs in the fridge ?
