My own theory on Lazar’s story, including his eduction

The biggest caveat in Lazar’s story, that everyone seems to pound on, is his eduction background. People say since his education can’t be verified, the buck stops there and the whole story falls apart. After looking at the entire story from a 30,000 foot view, I think there may be a plausible explanation for what happened, including his shaky education claims.

Back in the 1980s, it was a lot easier to lie on resumes, and I believe it was done much more frequently back then. Especially with all records being analogue.

We know Ed Teller was at Los Alamos on the day Bob said he was there, because it was in the same issue of the Los Alamos Monitor talking about Bob’s jet car. So, I don’t think Bob made up meeting Teller. Bob reached out to Teller a few years later with his resume, asking for a job lead. Teller tells Bob that EG&G will call him to set up an interview. Teller is probably pretty high up in the program, being in the Manhattan Project, father of the hydrogen bomb, and setting up national labs. His recommendation alone was probably enough to fast-track Lazar into the program.

Jumping forward, Bob claims that he was replacing a scientist who died after cutting into a reactor. If someone died and needed to be replaced, the program would probably be trying to expedite a replacement for something that important.

Bob says they came back later and said there was a problem with his security clearance.

Therefore (TLDR), I think it’s likely that:

  1. S-4 needed to quickly replace the scientist who died.
  2. Teller’s recommendation alone is enough to get Lazar in, given Teller’s likely high up in the program.
  3. Lazar begins working there provisionally while they check his background.
  4. They find his education doesn’t check out and stop calling him out.
  5. This is what leads to him being iced out, maybe along with his wife’s affair.

Bob has even walked back his education claims in recent interviews, saying things like he went to MIT under a government program, not a traditional master’s degree. And that he “did a lot of auditing at both places,” referring to MIT and Cal Tech.

Further, if you see Teller in an interview being asked about Lazar, his reaction is very strange. He doesn’t deny knowing Lazar, he said he’ll just sit in silence if asked about Lazar. I think this weighs in favor of Lazar actually meeting him, and Teller probably just got burned by Bob going public and his background not checking.

Time traveling through consciousness alone

Has anyone who’s practiced hemisync-like meditations such as the gateway experience been able to go into a state where they transplanted their consciousness into themself in the past?

If so, what was it like and how long were you able to do so? I’m just curious if this has been achieved by anyone.

I tried going to War.gov to see the UFO file release, and going to the releases page just returns a 404 error. Did anyone get to see the file release before this error?

I ordered this spoiler of eBay (hasn’t been delivered yet), it seems this one is sold by a bunch of different sellers, but appears to be the same part.

Has anyone gotten this one before? Does the gloss black of the spoiler match the midnight black of the car?

I waned an OEM style one, not a fan of the duck bill ones I see a lot.

In my assessment Bob Lazar possesses scientific literacy and knowledge appropriate for his claimed education.

Most notably, in his book he writes about analyzing E115 using standard lab equipment I am familiar with. They try GC-TCD, then GC-MS, then NAA (a nuclear method I have never used). So it's clear Bob knows the proper sample preparation techniques and other details of the method. Did he learn all of this for the purpose of deceiving us and selling his book?

>Barry had taken the fuel disc and set it on a small piece of filter paper. With a very fine file, he scraped its surface, collecting a minute amount of the filings on the paper. He added them to a liquid solvent and prepared to inject them into a gas chromatograph where it would be vaporized and analyzed. I joined him at the machine and watched as he inserted the material into the sample port using a microsyringe to get it through a rubber septum and into the vacuum chamber. Helium (nitrogen is also often used) began to flow as the carrier gas. I checked the pressure regulator to be sure it was within parameters. It was and that gas joined the vaporized material we had injected in passing through a glass column packed with silica coated with a liquid. Since the material we placed in the solvent was insoluble—in other words it didn’t dissolve into the liquid but was suspended within it—the whole process took a matter of seconds. We were using a thermal conductivity device (TCD) and helium provided a shorter analysis time due to its higher flow rates and low molecular weight. The detection system in the device converted the property changes of the substances heated and vaporized into electrical impulses that a computer could analyze. Basically, it took an analog reading of the reactions taking place within the glass column and converted that reading to a digital one. The digital was less susceptible to interference and has a better signal-to-noise ratio. When we looked at the display the device provided, the chromatogram itself, literally a graph of the results, we noticed that there were no spikes, which would have indicated the presence of various elements. The x (horizontal axis) reflected the amount of time while the y axis measured the abundance or absorbance of the chemicals present. For example if you put a drop of water in the device, you’d find a spike indicating the presence of hydrogen and oxygen. What we saw was nothing at all except at the very far right of the graph indicating that something was in there, but it wasn’t composed of any other known component elements. (Lazar, Dreamland)

The other tests documented in the book are

  • the famous candle, watch, and 'black hole" demos
  • measuring for thermal losses in the reactor
  • measuring radiation within the reactor
  • building a pressure sensor array to measure the shape of the emitted field

In all cases where the test results don't match expected physics, Bob is appropriately confused. In the candle demo, he asks how can the candle be frozen while I can still see the photons? For those demanding equations to explain the science, there is famously no unification for QFT and GR, so to expect Bob to emerge with an equation for quantum gravity with only master's level education and 6 months on the job is entirely unreasonable.

Outside of UFO claims, Bob modified his car to run on a hydrogen fuel cell and used a lithium hydride material as a low pressure sorbent for the H2 gas. Lithium 6 deuteride is a legally restricted material (used for thermonuclear weapons), so he built a backyard particle accelerator to manufacture the material. My best guess is that he is using a spallation reaction where he is bombarding C, N, or O nuclei with alpha particles to break them down into smaller Li6 nuclei. This would be a good question to ask him. This level of knowledge about nuclear reactions is consistent with his alleged education at MIT working on a classified weapons system.

The letter was written in August 1989, just under three months before Knapp first identified Lazar publicly in his Las Vegas TV series UFOs: The Best Evidence.

In the letter, Knapp states that Lazar told him "he graduated from high school, somewhere in Southern California, at age 15."

During a pre-sentence investigation related to his conviction for Pandering, the Nevada Department of Parole and Probation verified that Lazar graduated from from W. Tresper Clarke High School in Westbury, New York at the age of 17.

"The defendant was able to supply this department with a high-school graduation certificate dated August 30, 1976 from W. Tresper Clark High School, East Meadow School District #3, Westbury, New York."

Friedman later independently confirmed this.

In the August 1989 letter to Friedman, Knapp also describes what Lazar had told him about his college education: "[Lazar] attended two other colleges prior to MIT -- Pierce College and U.C. Northridge."

The letter makes no mention of Caltech, where Lazar would later claim to have earned a Master of Science in Electronic Technology in 1985.

That claim appears, among other places, in Lazar's 1990 statements to the Nevada Department of Parole and Probation, which recorded that Lazar claimed to hold a Masters of Science in Physics from MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, awarded in 1982 - before receiving a second Masters degree from Caltech in 1985 (rather than attending Caltech first and then MIT, as he has claimed in the majority of interviews since 1989).

Bob Lazar was asked again about his educational records during Jesse Michels’s podcast. Bob says he does not have a master’s degree from MIT, but was sent there for a government program. Bob said he “did a lot of auditing in both places.”

My personal theory is that he may have audited at Cal Tech, but lied on his resume, which was much easier to do in the 80s, saying he had a Master’s degree. I think Bob got the job through Teller’s recommendation alone, which was enough since Teller may have been high up in the program. It is possible he was sent to MIT in some capacity.

One of the most interesting parts from Jesse Michels's podcast with Bob was when Bob said he had ONGOING experiments at his lab and was

"100%. Confident" he could duplicate results from S4.

"I'm sure I can. I'm 100% confident. I'm going to."

Does this indicate Bob is still working with his purported piece of 115 he acquired?
