Flying dress photographers so rude

Have been to Santorini today, Imerovigli, and OMG… what is wrong with some of these flying dress photographers? 😂
They literally block the streets and pavements while doing their shoots and then get pissy and super rude when people actually need to get past. Do they own the streets and pavements, or rent them, to have such a disgusting attitude?
I was actually considering doing a photoshoot with one of them, but after today’s experience, absolutely not. We waited around 5 minutes for one Greek photographer to finish taking her shots, and she reluctantly moved aside to let pedestrians through. I said “thank you” just to be polite, and her Chinese assistant, who was wearing huge dark glasses, was extremely rude in response.
Jeez… how entitled can you be?
And honestly, after seeing the dresses in real life, I’m even less tempted. They don’t look that great in person they’re basically one-size-fits-all, look pretty awful from the back, and I’m guessing the final photos are edited to oblivion to make everything look good 😂

Partner support is ridiculous!

What kind of reply is that to my question! Uber eats just sent us a generic email saying we will be charged now 33% instead of 30% for each Uber One customer order. But we have our own delivery drivers and pay 13%.
Asked to clarify and after a week of back and forth, and ‘we passed it to our specialist team’ bull 💩 that’s the reply?
Called customer support, they are clueless as well said just keep emailing

Anyone else feel completely overwhelmed trying to market a small business?

Hello everyone,

We’re a small independent family-run takeaway in a village in South Wales. Like many small businesses, we don’t yet have the budget to hire a marketing company, so I (the wife!) do all of our marketing myself alongside helping run the takeaway

I’d really appreciate any tips, tricks, or affordable tools/apps that have helped your business grow. Free or low-cost recommendations would be amazing.

Facebook has been our most successful platform so far, and we’ve grown to over 500 followers in around 6 months. However, I really struggle with Instagram (less than 100 followers) and TikTok (just over 100 followers).

I post almost every day while also helping run a takeaway that’s open 7 days a week, and honestly, I’m feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. There never seem to be enough hours in the day, and putting in so much effort without seeing much growth on some platforms can be really draining.
For those of you who have been in a similar position, what worked for you? What would you focus on if you were starting again?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Am I overreacting, or is anyone else genuinely scared about where things are heading in the UK?

My husband and I are a mixed-race couple. We both grew up in the UK, went to school here, studied here, and now work here. This is our home.

Lately, though, I feel increasingly anxious about the atmosphere around race and immigration. It seems like more and more people see a brown person and automatically assume they’re an illegal immigrant or somehow don’t belong here. The nuance has disappeared.

My husband is Sikh, but because many people don’t know the difference, he’s often assumed to be Muslim. A year ago, he was racially targeted and physically attacked. Even since then, we’ve had comments, questions, and casual racism directed at us. One of my neighbours even told me I’d made a mistake by “marrying coloured.”

What shocks me most is how normalised some of this feels. People say things now that would have been completely unacceptable a few years ago, and others just shrug it off.

We’re planning to start a family soon, but honestly, I’m terrified. I find myself wondering what a mixed-race child would have to deal with if things continue in this direction. I’ve even caught myself questioning whether I want to have children at all, or whether we should leave the UK entirely and start over somewhere else.

I don’t recognise myself thinking this way because I’ve always considered Britain my home, but recently it feels less safe and less welcoming than it used to.

Am I in the minority here? Is anyone else feeling this level of anxiety about the future, especially those in mixed-race relationships or from ethnic minority backgrounds?
