They didn’t expect Yoonchae to make it

Just rewatched for the 100th time. During DA reveals, a lot of the girls seem to be in shock when they called Yoonchae’s name as part of the group. When the other girls names were called, they were just clapping.

How did Emily get picked?

Fans never really resonated with her in DA. She brings in no type of star quality and Lexi is an amazing dancer as well so it’s not like she’s the “IT Dancer”. Her voice is also so shaky.

Everyone said Reece was faking it in S1

Did everyone remember when people kept saying Reece was faking her personality and that eventually all this “tea” would come out proving she wasn’t as sweet as she seemed? So… where are those people now?
Outside of DCC, she consistently comes across as a genuinely kind, humble person. She dresses in such a classic, elegant, and mature way, and despite all the attention she’s received, there hasn’t been a single credible nasty rumor about her. Maybe she’s exactly who she appears to be.

Re-auditioning has always been mandatory for the Vets

There’s a reason why everyone has to re-audition including vets. There’s no guaranteeing your spot every year. Why is that shocking and yes, it stings to not get picked…. But why are people attacking Kelly & Judy? Are vets supposed to be picked every single year?

Center should be Yoonchae and Dani not Megan

I’m sorry but Megan is super forgettable. I don’t think she deserves center at all. Dani absolutely kills it but Yoonchip is mode of an all a-rounder than Megan

Racism?

People throw around the word “racism” every time something doesn’t go their favorite’s way, but where is the actual evidence?

I’ve seen countless people claim HYBE x Geffen was racist toward Manon, yet I never see anyone provide a single screenshot, video, email, statement, or action that shows she was treated differently because of her skin color.

In fact, the opposite happened. Manon was one of the most popular contestants from the beginning. Fans loved her visuals, her presence, and the unique energy she brought. The company featured her heavily, included her in the final group, invested in her training, and helped build her into one of the faces of the group.

So what exactly is the evidence of racism?

Because from what we saw in Dream Academy and the documentary, the criticism around Manon was about attendance, commitment, and showing up consistently. Even some of the members themselves talked about having to adjust when people missed rehearsals or weren’t present. That’s a work ethic discussion, not a race discussion.

A billion-dollar company is not going to sabotage one of its most marketable and popular members for no reason. That doesn’t make business sense.

If people genuinely believe racism played a role, I’d love to see actual receipts. Not assumptions. Not theories. Not “I feel like.” Real evidence.

What specific action was racist, and where is the proof? Because I’ve been following this from the start, and I still haven’t seen it.

Not Everything That Happened to Manon Was HYBE’s Fault

People act like HYBE x Geffen had some secret agenda against Manon, but that makes zero sense. She was one of the most popular contestants from Dream Academy and remains one of the most popular members of KATSEYE. Why would a company intentionally get rid of someone who brings views, engagement, fans, and money?

The documentary showed concerns about attendance and commitment. Other members talked about her being late. Even after debut, there were periods where fans noticed absences and immediately jumped to conspiracy theories.

Maybe the simpler explanation is that sometimes Manon wasn’t as reliable as people wanted to believe.

What annoys me is that fans want to give Manon credit for all her success but refuse to acknowledge the criticisms that were literally part of her story. Her growth is impressive because she had weaknesses to overcome. Pretending those weaknesses never existed rewrites history.

You don’t have to hate Manon to admit that being talented doesn’t automatically excuse being late, missing things, or lacking commitment. And you definitely don’t have to blame HYBE x Geffen every time something doesn’t go her way.
