When to say goodbye?
Our 2015 MDX has been great, save for the throttle control thing that meant sometimes the thing just wouldn’t start. That was replaced two years ago.
The MDX has 250K miles on it and when I took it in for oil change and recall check, they of course found other things to do: transmission flush, brake fluid, an “oil leak” they want to investigate and find the source of, and the big one - timing belt replacement. All in about $2400 (the timing belt is $1900).
Is it work the effort? Or am I at the point of throwing good money at a dying vehicle? I was kinda hoping to get to 300k before we retired her.
