I’m at Daria’s third platform and I’m about to ragequit the whole game

I can’t get past it, it can’t quit and get out of it. I can’t even get past like the second section. I’ve been doing this for almost an hour and I’m so pissed I want to delete the whole game. Between the disappearing platforms and the switching from side to side because there aren’t walls, I just keep falling. I’ve had no issue the whole game, but this section is testing me and I can’t do anything about it. I’m about 85% of the way through the game and was hoping to finish it this weekend but I actually don’t think I can pick it back up. I’m not usually someone who gets pissed at video games, but I was like so close to just breaking my controllers. It’s not a battle with some super powered boss, it’s not some super complicated puzzle either. I’ve never lost my mind this bad at a video game before. Anyway this game is probably gonna sit in the graveyard of my switch now because every time I think about opening it, I’m just going to remember where I’m at and get angry.

Senior cat care

I went to a cat cafe for the first time and walked away with a cat, as if I didn’t already have two at home. Babygirl is a 12 year old surrender, the cat cafe gets all their cats off the euthanasia lists at local shelters. Basically I took one look at her and needed to make sure the last several years of her life are full of love.
I have two cats already, but they are both younger. They have been mildly hissy, but Babygirl has been around many other cats so she’s not bothered for the most part. This would be my first time caring for an older cat. So far, I haven’t seen much restriction of motion, so I think she’s okay there. Babygirl looks very healthy, with the exception of her coat, which is very matted on her belly. After she has gotten a little more acclimated, I plan on taking her to get a lion cut at the groomers for a fresh start. Her medical history was mostly clear as well.
Her diet is wet food only, so I’ve been feeding her 2-3 broths a day with some omega-3 oil. I am open to cat food recommendations. No reaction to catnip so far. She isn’t very reactive with toys, she will look at them and likes if I pet her with them. Loves pets and brushing. If anyone has had luck with good toys for senior cats please let me know. I want to give her as much enrichment as possible. She IS very intrigued by the window.
I only brought her home two days ago, but I wonder if anyone has any experience bringing a senior cat into your home. She’s got plenty of places to hide (she nearly scared me half to death earlier by hiding in a cabinet behind my dishes). I just want to make sure she can relax and that she’s comfortable. She’s been exploring a bit for the last several hours.

Trying to learn more about Chinese mythology

I recently watched Ne Zha, its sequel, and Jiang Ziya. I loved them so much, I do love a good animated film and expansive world building. Now, obviously these are based off the Investiture of the Gods, which has me intrigued. I’m wondering if anyone knows a good English translation, and if anyone has other recommendations. I put Chinese mythology in the title because it was specific to those movies, but I have a general interest in Asian mythology. I’ve read plenty of Greek, Roman, Norse, and Egyptian mythologies, and I want to expand that knowledge. I sort of want to start with learning the base mythology, but if anyone has recommendations to books inspired by different Asian mythologies, I would be delighted. I have one major work to research Chinese mythology, but I’m wondering if there are others? And if there are any good anime’s with Asian mythology elements PLEASE let me know 🙏

The Sea Beast (Netflix)

I recently posted asking for movie recommendations (which I appreciate thank you!!). I browsed and found this movie. There is so much I can say already (I haven’t actually finished it yet, I’m still watching). But there is a quote delivered by the main character (child).
“The world is wide Jacob, you don’t know everything!”
It is delivered with pure childlike wonder, with pure interest in knowledge, and also some hope. Changed my brain chemistry a little bit tbh. One of those things that just makes you sit back and rethink your perspective.
Stunning visuals and quite a bit of diversity among the ensemble cast. Love me a pirate story. Drop other pirate movie/show recommendations (other than Pirates of the Caribbean, does not need to be animated).

Looking for more recommendations

I have watched a lot of cartoons/anime/animated movies over the years, and I feel like I’ve exhausted a lot of the obvious options. For example I’ve watched almost every Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks movie. I’ve watched pretty much all the Studio Ghibli movies, I have some of the other films left. I’ve combed through Netflix, Disney+, and Prime. I 100% have not watched every animated movie available but I was looking for some recommendations.
I’ve definitely watched more Asian inspired movies than anything, but I love watching movies that explore other cultures. I recently just finished Ne Zha and am now trying to see what else is out there. Preferably I’d like to see cultures that aren’t mine (white, american, truthful that’s all I’ve got). I loved Coco and The Book of Life. Ravka was beautiful. I think Kubo is one of my favorites overall, Turning Red, Wish Dragon Bonus points if there is food in the movie. Subtitles are 100% okay, all I ask is good world building and some good animation. Anyway, thanks a bunch.

History of Gallifrey

I have watched all of NewWho several times over, and I always have so many questions about the planet and the people and basically all about the Doctor’s time there. I suppose I’m wondering if anyone has a collection of episodes pertaining to Gallifrey, including episodes from ClassicWho. There is a LOT of ClassicWho and I’m working on trying to get ALL Doctor Who on DVD since it was taken off Max. I’m not paying $20 a season, that’s crazy person talk. Any resources would be helpful. With 27 seasons of classic and 15(?) season of new Doctor Who, not to mention the specials, it’s a little hard to pick through. I feel like someone in the last 60+ years has done this. There’s gotta be one autistic fan that’s catalogued the episodes somewhere.

How to get rid of the gap?

Typically when I embroider, my pieces look like the second picture. There is a gap between the outer hoop and the start of the embroidery. So how are people getting their pieces to start at the edge of the fabric? Am I supposed to lift the fabric with pressure and wedge my needle over the inner ring and up through the fabric? This doesn’t matter for most projects but I am trying to embroider pieces to hang and display on my wall. Any advice is appreciated.

PLEASE 🙏 🙏 is there a planter that can sit on top of 7”-7.5” wide railings???

I have been searching and searching but the widest railing size that I can find is 5.25”. My cats keep trying to jump up on the railing, and it is wide enough for them to comfortably walk on. But it is not comfortable to me. So I want to block sections of the railing with planter that go on top and are secure. I’ve included a picture of the kind of thing I am looking for. This is secondly important because I live in California, and I keep finding dead bees on my porch. It is so hot that they keep dying in the sun. So I want to add a couple of pollinators on the railings for them and maybe a water source? Unsure how to do the water source at the moment, but I am focusing on the planters. If you have found anything please let me know! This includes custom stuff! If there is nothing commercially made that fits this, I’d be willing to get something custom made.

this is a common problem i’ve seen people have. i just moved, so it was my first time cleaning and transporting the litter robot fully. i only just set it up last night, and when i woke up i had 100 pinch notifications. it is stuck in the spot where it dumps the litter, not in the home position.
it started with the ping ponging yellow light, then switched to the green/white flashing. so i turned it on/off several times, wiped the pinch sensors near the waste drawer, i checked the filter in the back, i wiped the sensors in the front. i’ve tried reseating the globe. nothing. any help would be appreciated, i would really hope it’s not broken, i haven’t even had it two full years.

Currently, I’ve reached a point where my job is stable and reliable. My educational background is in medicine, and while I enjoy what I do, I do not love it. Which is why I started thinking about volunteering opportunities to give me something to do other than my job (I am new to California, so I have no friends or other people to spend time with). Now my childhood dream job was a marine biologist, I’ve always been interested in animal’s evolutionarily and also they’re cute ya know. I’ve always had pets growing up (cats, dogs, fish, and some hermit crabs), and I love caring for and spending time with animals.

I have done some research regarding animal care volunteering, I understand that it is a long process of building trust/education before you would be allowed to actively work with the animals. I am hoping to gain some information or advice regarding long-term volunteering with animal care. I am talking years, I intend to stay in the area and want to build up trust with the facilities I volunteer at. Specifically I would like to work with big cats and/or penguins. Unfortunately my job is somewhat time consuming, I would only be able to commit to 2-3 times per month considering I live about two hours away from any zoos or aquariums.

I haven’t looked at any official applications yet, I was hoping to gather more anecdotal information from people who have gone through this process or employees who regularly work in animal care. Anything would be much appreciated! I spent six years working on my degree, so I am not afraid of the time commitment.
