Received this alert from CCPD and on Citizen see people livestreaming video of a huge police presence armed with assault weapons in the Pavillions parking lot. People at businesses along Jefferson like Starbucks have been asked to stay inside.
I am stoked. The Culver Theater has a great vibe, is never over crowded, and reasonable ticket prices (shout out $9 Tuesdays). Source is The Culver Theater's Instagram post:

Over the >next month, we’ll be expanding from 6 to 11 screens and installing brand-new >seats in all of our auditoriums. > >As we transition our operations, ticketing, and projection systems, we’ll need to >allow for the occasional unforeseen issue or delay. Because of this, you may >notice that reserved seating is temporarily unavailable for certain screenings >and auditoriums over the next few weeks. Waiting for the new year to upgrade my '23 and hoping the '28s will be rolling out then. I looked into what changed in the '21 after the '20 debuted and it was:
Thoughts on what we might see on '28s? I'm hoping for at least tan/brown interior options on higher end models as I want an HEV X-Line SX-P with Jade Green but really want a tan interior.
Can never trust those Kia dealers...
My wife is traveling and the kids are staying over at grandma's house. I have an entire Friday night with zero obligations for the first time in... honestly I don't remember.
All I want is to see The Odyssey in 70MM IMAX but there are no tickets available, and not to be picky but I'm not sitting in the first few rows.
If you've got an extra ticket, or know a good way to snag a single seat, I'm in. I'll show up early, I'll turn my phone off, I might get a little emotional.
Just trying to make the most of a rare night off. Help a dad out!
Our 7 and 4 year old girls put the cape on Little Libby (8.5 years old). I swear!
Has anyone found a strap like in the photo for MoonSwatch on Amazon or elsewhere? There are silicone straps that emulate this pattern but I want an actual nylon strap.
lol got this as a notification on Instagram. Recently unfollowed him so maybe that’s why? Tell us what you really think!
Stopped by the new Folks Pizzeria at the Helms Bakery complex on a Saturday around 6 and the place was packed, but pro tip: jump on the Yelp waitlist in advance and roll in when your table’s ready.
Good vibes inside. We started with the bread and whipped labneh which was super tasty.
For pizzas, we ordered two but honestly one would’ve been enough for two people. They’re big and filling thanks to a super puffy, bubbly crust that’s on the doughy side. The margherita came out molten hot and was a little soupy in the middle at first, but settled down once it cooled. The spring pizza (asparagus, peas, onions, taleggio) was the standout really delicious.
Didn’t get to everything I wanted, so I’ll be back for the wings, Caesar, and the oven-baked cookie dessert.
Overall a great addition to the Helms complex. Hoping they stick around for the long haul and that this kind of energy keeps spreading down Washington Blvd would love to see more restaurants and shops fill in over there.
Wanted to make sure this reaches the right people. Has been covered by several news outlets like KTLA.
