Milestone Trip

TYIA! Visiting in March for our 5yr wedding anni. Will also be our first vacation as a trio with our 3yo. Already searched the subreddit, yelp and google reviews, and have narrowed down resort options thanks to those.

I like Lago Mar’s charm and it being family friendly and unpretentious. Unfortunately, I am diagnosed OCD, and my biggest trigger is safety for my child (like sanitation/cleanliness/germs, exposure to his food allergies, etc). Pretty rough as a toddler parent, but my therapist is happy with my progress and I’m medicated. BUT, I worry that I won’t be able to look past how dated and cleanly our room may be, based on some of the poor online reviews. Am I overthinking it?

We are lucky to not have a strict budget, so Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and Conrad are also a consideration. Obviously very different from Lago Mar, but these options would feel more “special” for our wedding anni. I just worry about annoying anyone if our cheeky toddler is being, well, cheeky. And we’d like to avoid loud partying because of his sleep schedule.

We also would like to prioritize safe and easy beach access. Our main priority since I’m from a beach area and it will be our toddler’s first time at the beach.

Thankful for any feedback!

Milestones Trip

Feeling out of my depth and appreciate any and all advice! We are considering a March trip to Disneyworld. It will be our 3yo’s first time and will coincide with our 5yr wedding anniversary. It’ll also be our first out-of-town vacation as a trio.

Our toddler has been enjoying watching YouTube videos of the Disneyland and Disneyworld monorails and open air trains. We aren’t ready to commit to the full Disney itinerary, and honestly our son will just be happy to ride both trains over and over and over. We are fine with this, esp since he refuses to sit in a stroller or be carried when he’s tired. Hubs and I are happy to just relax at the resort. We don’t have nearby family or hired help, so we are treating this trip as a reward to ourselves for how far we’ve come :)

AI suggested Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, or the Contemporary resort. I like the beach atmosphere idea esp if we’re celebrating our anni, and I like having direct access to the monorail for our son. Open to feedback and other suggestions, as well as maybe a couple reserved/planned items to feel special, but nothing too crazy. We definitely would want to be able to ride the open air train (Magic Kingdom?)

Important to note, our son is prescribed an EpiPen and zofran for allergies to egg, peanut, and pea. There is potential that he’ll outgrow his peanut and pea allergies by March, but not guaranteed.

Thank you!

Milestones Trip

Hi! We are considering a March trip to the Florida location. Looking for any and all feedback, tips, etc. It will be our first time and will coincide with our 5yr wedding anniversary. It’ll also be our first out-of-town vacation as a trio with our 3yo.

Our toddler loves trains (really all vehicles), building blocks. He’s been enjoying watching YouTube videos of Disneyland train rides, but we don’t want that level of commitment for an amusement park. Hubs and I would also want to build something together to take home for our anni.

We don’t want an itinerary-heavy visit. Maybe a couple reserved/planned items to feel special, but we are also ok with a lot of leisure time in the resort. We just want to make sure our son, who refuses to sit in a stroller or be carried, has a good time. Hubs and I don’t have any nearby family or hired help, so we also see this trip as a reward to ourselves for how far we’ve come.

Important to note, our son is prescribed an EpiPen and zofran for allergies to egg, peanut, and pea. There is potential that he’ll outgrow his peanut and pea allergies by March, but not guaranteed. We are also a family of introverts lol…

Thank you in advance!

Help! Honeymoon in a week

As a wedding gift, I’m putting together my sister and BIL’s itinerary, but it was only recently decided.

Couple is late 40s and staying around Mid-Cape. They want to explore a different region daily, dine at a nice restaurant daily, do something touristy daily, and watch sunset at a different location each night. They will rent an EV.

I’ve never been but want to visit in the future. Is this a reasonable schedule that you would be happy with if it were your honeymoon?

Day 1
- Arrival
- Lunch at Skipper Restaurant
- Pick up fishing gear at Riverview
- Check into hotel
- Early dinner at Old Yarmouth Inn (requested by couple, reservation is booked)
- Sunset at Keyes, Veterans Park, or Kalmus Beach

Day 2
- Groom’s early morning fishing (as requested by him) while bride sleeps in
- Groom picks up and drops off bride at her massage (as requested by her, reservation is booked), returns fishing gear, free time until bride’s massage ends
- Hallet Store for lunch, then wander Captains Mile
- Back to hotel to reset
- Early dinner at Inaho (requested by couple, I still need to call for reservation)
- Sunset at Mayflower or Corporation Beach

Day 3
- Drive to Provincetown and pick up Box Lunch
- Pilgrim Monument
- Early dinner at Mews Restaurant (reservation is booked)
- Sunset at Herring Cove
- Drive back

Day 4
Help. Please. Help. Something interesting but not too strenuous to break up Provincetown and whale watching days.
- They requested dining at Leonessa, which I thought to schedule here?

Day 5
- Use morning to prep for departure flight
- Sunset whale cruise (my husband and I plan to buy their tickets as part of our gift, but I wanted to wait until schedule was more concrete)

Any tips, parking, safety, other info they should be aware of? Thank you so much!!! I just want them to have a good time and feel relaxed after all the stress of wedding planning.
