Renault introduces Google Gemini via OTA update
Gemini is en route, it seems.

Gemini is en route, it seems.
Having very recently bought an EV I thought I’d mention a benefit which doesn’t ever (that I’ve seen) get talked about.
I live in an east London borough which has many on street charging bays that anyone can use as long as they are charging.
My wife has slight mobility issues which means that walking any distance is difficult and she also struggles with buses. The whole borough also has residents parking bays throughout and very few paid for parking bays (which are often only available for up to 30 minutes). This means that most of our journeys are either by cab or I drive and then struggle to find parking.
However, I can often find a charger nearby which is unoccupied and just pump a few electrons in (at a maximum of 11kW) while we do our thing. It means we pay a few £ for the privilege, but it really does make a difference to our lives.
Did anyone else find a benefit to EV ownership which surprised them?
Hi all!
I have a quick couple of questions if that’s OK.
I have ordered a new car which is apparently currently in Bristol and I’m waiting for it to be delivered to Essex. The delivery day keeps being put back, and the dealer has finally given me a reason.
It seems that the Renault Import Centre has changed their haulage company which has had some teething problems.
Does this ring true?
As a supplementary, are there a lot of haulage companies dealing with bulk car transportation?
Thanks in advance for any help, I’ll make sure to continue to be helpful to truckers where I can!!
For context, this is at the junction of Lea Bridge Road and Hoe Street.
C23 runs through the junction, but for this pedestrianised are there is no indication that a cycle lane exists. The cycle lane crosses Hoe Street, but doesn’t reappear for about 10m or so.
How would a pedestrian who is crossing Lea Bridge Road know that they were walking into a cycle lane?
Did anyone watch Rich House Poor House last night?
I only had it on in the background while I did other things but I’m sure that the rich person staying in the poor person’s house opened a letter from TV licensing which was the usual “we have no record of a tv licence for this address and you could be fined” letter, then they pawned a mobile phone at 25% interest to pay for a TV licence without checking whether or not a licence was required.
Did I miss something, or is that what happened?
I have an R5 on order and this little code is under the car model. Does anyone know what it means?
It‘s an Iconic Five + trim level if that helps.
One interesting statistic in the article is that of all the reports to the Metropolitan Police in 2025 roughly 50% resulted in no further action.
Hi all.
I’m about to pull the plug on my first EV.
I currently use an iOS app called Road Trip to record all of my petrol refuels. I’ve been doing this since 2010 (yes, I am an anorak). It gives me a lot of useful information like mpg, cost per mile (12p, if you’re interested), miles per day, etc…
So I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a similar thing for an EV, or will I have to make a spreadsheet?
Thanks all, and thanks to all the contributors here. I’ve learned a lot over the past few months.
