For the white home jersey, this is from back in the days of jerseys lasting for more than one season. I am trying to flesh out my retro collection now as people have asked me loads of questions on retros but I have always been so focused on current jerseys. The colours on the sleeve designs and collar are correct. The Parma crest and Puma logo are embroidered on pretty cleanly. Sponsor on the front of the shirt is screen printed. For the pattern of the shirt, some websites have it as a predominantly plain white base, while others have the style of this rep with the diamonds and large Puma logo and such. I kind of like the look of it, accurate or not, and this is more something I’d wear as a casual shirt anyways. I only sized up once to L from an M, as I have heard it is kind of difficult to get that true oversized, boxy look of retros. It fits me like a regular fan version shirt I would say.

The second of my Parma haul is now done by Lotto rather than Puma. It is predominantly navy with horizontal stripes in two shades of blue and with yellow accent lines. One might even call them hoops 😂 there is cool, subtle geometric pattern across the shirt which seems accurately replicated. The collar is pretty cleanly done with some very minor fraying that can easily be taken care of. Parma badge and Lotto logo are embroidered securely though maybe not quite as clean as the other Parma shirt. Material is similar in this one. Interestingly, I also sized up only once to L from M and this one is slightly looser and almost baggier in the shoulders. Still not the exact retro look but a different fit to the other one. The sleeve cuffs are also elasticated so while the shoulders are a bit poofier, the cuffs are tighter on my arms.

I'm 6’0 (183cm) tall and weigh 170 lbs. (77kg). I generally wear size M in North American and Europeans brands or clothing but for stuff I get from Asia, I usually size up to L.

The numbers and BAPE text are all heat pressed on securely with no lifting or peeling. The material itself reminds me of most fan version jerseys. It’s a jersey-like material that is somewhat soft but heavier. It’s comfortable on. I sized up once from M to L to get a little bit more of a casual fit, and to avoid any sizing issues in general! It actually has a bit of an oversized look to it already, as you can see with it on. Quite a bit looser and boxier than most L jerseys I have ordered.

Regardless, a really cool shirt and one that I got to see up close at pitch level when we hosted the World Cup this summer (picture attached). The patterns do appear well-replicated in this shirt, as do the colours. The Nike logo is heat-pressed but might be placed just a smidge low. The “CANADIAN WOMEN AND SPORT” logo is also heat-pressed on well, with no peeling or lifting. The NOCTA text, logo, and CANADA text on the back are all screen printed onto the shirt.

The new Juventus third kit’s pattern is inspired by the Latin word “iuventus” (youth), and is meant to symbolize energy, ambition, and the club’s forward-looking spirit. I know the design has been quite polarizing online, but I think it’s grown on me! Though, I still think it gives Guy Fieri vibes for some reason (photo attached for reference) 🤣 the shirt itself is actually quite good quality. The standard adidas Player version of this season but it all looks aligned properly. The Juventus crest and adidas logo are a premium, thick, texturized rubber that is heat pressed on well. The sponsor is aligned and there is no peeling. Same goes for the text on the back of the neck. The thick shoulder stripes are part of the fabric itself, if that makes sense. Please excuse my cat but she approves the jersey as well!

I sized up to an L from my usual M (183cm/6’0, 77kg/170lbs.). It fits me like most of the player versions tend to as well. Form fitting, but not as tight as some player versions I have. It does seem a little bit tight in my shoulders/back which causes some bunching around the neck/traps, but I think that’s a me problem vs. the jersey itself. I also find my size is a little challenging as bigger sizes sometimes don’t make the arms/shoulders much bigger, I just end up having more dangling fabric around the stomach.

The next United jersey I’ve got is one of our classics from our Premier League winning season in 2007/08. The jersey was also used as our away kit in 2006/07 and this is around the time when teams would move kits from Away to third or other things before corporations decided 3+ new kits every season lol. The very first time I went to Old Trafford was actually during the season before (2006/07) and my parents took me to get a jersey from the megastore with custom printing. Weirdly enough, they were out of the black As (I wanted Ronaldo on the back) so ended up getting the home kit instead and never actually got this one. Until now!

It’s got a white base with black side panels and gold accents for the collar, sleeve cuffs, and side trim. The badge is very sturdy feeling and secured well. The actual embroidery for “Manchester United” could probably be cleaner and the crest might be a little small. Nike Swoosh is embroidered well. The Premier League Champion patches are applied well and are that felt- or suede-like material. AIG sponsor is well-applied as is the nameset and number on the back. The name and number might be a bit low. This time I went with a criminally underrated player and United legend in my books, Park Ji-Sung. The fit is comfortable when sized up once.

I took a picture of the side panels (awkwardly) to show it is the ventilated style. The material is a little dimpled and feels a bit different than current fan versions. It’s quite a bit less flexible and reminds me of the material in training bibs or old school basketball/American football jerseys. It’s not uncomfortable on but something to be mindful of if ordering. I sized up to L from M (6’0/183cm, 170 lbs./77 kg).

Adding Juventus’s 2011/12 Away Kit to my collection as a more casual piece. Decided on this one over the 2012/13 Third version as I like this sponsor versus a black Jeep block. This one was also worn during the unbeaten 11/12 season. Colours look good. Full review upon arrival.

This Juventus shirt is one of my favourite “classy” kits that I wanted even just for casual wear. I loved last season’s third but this one might just top it. Been hard to find it from most sellers but Speiv has it so had to pick it up. Full review upon arrival!

Also have the Colombia 2024 Centenary Kit coming in. Colours look correct as does placement of the tricolour stripe!

Got this collaboration concept shirt coming in. I think it’s loosely based on the Santan Cup kit. Excited to have this one arrive.

I really like the look of this kit as it’s kind of classy but also has unique subtleties, like the tonal engineered stripes. It has the classic eagle crest which was used by the club between 1977 and 1998. The crest is embroidered on cleanly and securely. Adidas Trefoil logo is also quite clean. The sponsors in front and on the sleeve are heat pressed on and there are no lifting edges. The material is the pretty standard fan version material. Smooth, thicker, a little shiny. Comfortable on. I sized up to L from M like always. Collar/neck hole and sleeves are a good size and fit.

Review:

For this season’s away shirt, the design is inspired by the 1988 shirt and the River Irwell. It actually reminds me a bit of the 2005-06 Away Kit! This version is spiced up a bit with some embroidery. This style was becoming popular in certain online football communities, especially with the rise of football fashion, as well as with Jules Koundé’s embroidered shirts and partnership with The Football Gal. This isn’t a rep of one of her creations but a take on the same idea. The embroidery is done quite well, a little tight in some spots causing small bunches but I do think that’s also due to how the shirt was folded. Once worn, it’s much less noticeable.

I quite like the flowing waves stripes; they appear quite shiny in this rep. I have another player version of this shirt and the stripes are more subtle. I am unsure if that is because of this being a different version or an embroidered version. The material is more similar to fan/stadium version jerseys but the United badge and adidas Trefoil logo are heat-pressed and a rubberized material. Colours appear correct for the sleeve cuffs and collar and there are no sizing issues.

For last season’s away shirt, the design is inspired by the “snowflake” design of the 90-92 away kit. As this version is a fan version, we do see the design slightly misplaced. This was a common challenge with the fan version last year. The embroidery is well-done, with some minor bunching but it smooths out well once worn. The material actually feels a bit smoother and stretchier for this jersey compared to the blue one.

Overall, both jerseys are comfortable to wear. The blue one is a little tighter in the arms and shorter in the torso and closer to a regular M than L. The white one has a bit more relaxed fit and I would say fits kind of between an M and an L. For reference, I am I'm 6’0 (183cm) tall and weigh 170 lbs. (77kg).
