No context badass line

"No matter how much damage they inflicted, * was the immovable object to their apparently stoppable force."

Give me other quotes from the books that could be spoilers, but aren't because the line is no context badass.

Keeper of life and death stat-boosting glitch (hoping Brynn sees this)

If you set stats directly, the elemental control/telekinesis stat can only be maxed out at 40. You can just do that and it takes nothing from the 180 available skill points. So, essentially, you have 220 points, with 40 exclusively going to elemental control/telekinesis. Which means you can have a minimum of 20 in every other stat. I'm pretty sure that's a glitch, but I couldn't figure out how to report it as a random player. Hoping the author sees this and can either fix it or is at least aware of the bug.

Keeper of life and death demo

I usually set my stats directly, since I've obsessively played this game since it came out. I went to input my name in the text field... The text field won't activate. I'm a screenreader user. Opened and closed. Reloaded. Did everything I could think of. Anyone else having this issue? Or is it just me? Is this what people were talking about with the cogdemos website being glitchy or something?

And... There it goes

Been in and out of sleep for a few hours now. Noticed one of the times I woke up how bad my back hurt. Noticed about 10 minutes ago how bad my tongue hurt. And that's when I realised it wasn't sleep.
Sat up. Took my kepra, which I apparently did miss. There goes my almost 2 years without a grand mal. Just ... Poof. I feel like fucking shit. I did not miss this feeling at all. I think I shall go cry now. I do not like being this afraid of my own body and brain.

Jori is a treasure

Me again, sharing more happiness thoughts from hwfwm.
"The world needs people like you, Mr. Tilman. We would very much like to give you to it."
Like, ok let's pause to examine this. Is anyone here opposed to helping as many people as possible, as fully as possible, as cheaply as possible, so as to maximize as much happiness as possible? No? How many of us are willing to do a jori? Not just not me? cool. I'm with healer. Jori is the goat.

Why do species not like themselves sometimes?

Cats that don't like other cats. Like my own cat.
Are there humans that just dislike other humans BECAUSE they're human? IS it always a trauma thing?

My sincerest and unreserved apologies

Please try to forgive any typos. I'm typing with lag to the max, sadly.
I maee a post here, admittedly by mistake, but still, criticizing gods, god, divinity, whatever. While the points themselves were not necessarily invalid in and of themselves, mostly, they just ... They just don't fucking apply here. The commentors were right: I did not understand deism properly. While some of my points were right, and the overall point makes sense once broken down provides legit conversation, the way I phrased it, the way it was all presented: Just wrong. Wrong for this sub, at least.
So I would like to offer my complete and utter apologies. If I was going to engage with sincerity here, I would constructed my arguments very differently, and approached it in a less aggressive fshion by far.
Would like to point out that almost none of the comments I rcvseemed to engage with me as a deist, merely a theist, but, in fairness, with how dickish my post was, I can't fully be mad about that. So I'm sorry. If I engage here again, it will be with more well-constructed explained arguments. I was wrh. I'm an anti-theist. But I believe in honest and sincere discourse. And what I did was not that. So I'm sorry. was dick. y'all did not deserve that.

There are no such things as god or gods, even if Jesus christ from the literal bible existed

What makes a god a god is divinity. Divinity, by all measures I have been able to see, is the universal right to demand things of the universe, and the universe, sapient, sentient or otherwise, must obey.
That's not a thing.
Nobody and nothing has the RIGHT to demand anything of anyone. They may have the ability to create and destroy, but divinity? Divinity is not real. I am a 10 on the dawkins scale, because no god, not odin, not zeus, not jesus, not marduk, has the right to tell me how to live, believe, and think. ThereAre no gods. There are merely beings with immense power, and some of them, according to humans, are immensely arrogant. That's it. Gods are just narcissists with lots of power over reality. Goes do not exist. Period. That's it. there's just submission, and independence. Sadly, those that submit are submitting to imaginary friends. You know, because they're too stupid to realise that just because someone has power greater than you do, does not mean they have authority over you. Just the ability to threaten / manipulate you. There are no gods. There will never be gods. Because nobody and nothing has the right to do anything to you, or demand things from you. So even if Jesus Christ popped up right now and was like "The bible is totally true" I'd be like "So? I'm as much god as you are. You just happenTo have been given the ability to do magic-type things. You're not better than me. Smote me, go ahead. Prove them all right, that you're as evil as Satan." There's no losing for me anymre. Because divinity exists only as imaginary people exist. Only stupidity breeds divinity.
Uh, Idk what I did or... Or what, but I think I have to repost this? Or something? Reddit is weird, maybe it was a screenreader glitch. Sorry for those that see it pop up again and go "Fuck this idiot again?" Yeah, sorry lol.

Clive and Amir (book 2 ending spoilers)

"Compare that to Amir's cloud palace, which is so obviously a reflection of his soul. Outrageously grandiose, but welcoming and beautiful."
"Clive," Amir said warmly. "That may be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me."
I fucking love Clive. He's so guilelessly kind. He's NOT being kind it's just ... I think for him it was kind of like saying "Oranges are orange" or "Hydells have two heads." It's just a thing that is. Clive is the best. Maybe that's why Clive's wife is "unfaithful." He was just like "Nah man I love you, you do what makes you happy." Idk. It was just such a nice scene I wanted to share the pure wholesomeness.

Fun thought experiment

So I like doing this thing (entirely in my head because I refuse to argue with religious people) Where I grant that "Ok, your religion is true, and thus, this." According to STRICTLY what I was taught in my bible study classes, the devil... Never actually lied. He was a bit of a smug prick, but that's about it lol. Ok but he tempted Jesus in the desert. With ... Hell. What is hell? According to what I understood and understand, the fire thing is not included. My teacher never actually said that, either. In fact I do recall her saying it was a separation from god, above all else. She just didn't say no to the fire thing, you know?
But ok. So hell is separation from god, right? Nix the fire thing, assuming it's not how that works based on my understanding. Sooooooo.... Hell is being atheist? Like, it's just not being involved with god, right? I never noticed him here to begin with. So, what I'm getting, given YOUR religion, is that my afterlife will be ... Just like real life. Only I'll already have died so sickness, pain and death are mostly a non-issue. ... I'm not seeing a downside here. Apart from living forever, but according to your religion, which I have granted as real for these purposes, was going to happen no matter what. I'm not seeing a downside here at all. I imagine there must be a shit-ton of scientists down here, how do soul physics work? Is there soul biology? How freaked out was Mozzart by Kirk Cobaine?

The white vault (MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SEASON THREE aAND ONWARD)

Sorry, not actually sure how to use spoiler tags, and even if I did I think this entire post might be one.
For those of you on season 4 episode 9 onward, you're probably good to read this. Otherwise ... I mean warning granted lol.

Alright so. Ava got bit by that bug. We all knew instantly what was gonna happen there, right? Jonus all over again. I'm near the end of season 4, about to finish ep 8, ... Shit maybe 9. I think it's 8 though. The one where they're packing up to leave and Dragana has just put Simon in the lift.
And Ava pulls up Simon's jacket zipper and is acting WEIRDLY CALM. GRAHAM SHE TOLD YOU THEY'RE ALSO LEAVING HIM ALONE YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS. My conjecture is that Ava is only able to resist her turn because Simon turned, and they're letting her smuggle him down the mountain while she stays behind as a decoy. I don't blame Graham for not noticthe certainly not his boyfriend or the Doc or Dragana. But at the same time CASNER COME ON BRO! NO!
Also quick note I first found this podcast about a month after its first season was completed, just before my AP bio exams. I was SO mad about Karina y'all. "Nope, she's NOT dead, FCHUCK YOU." (I was learning german at the time and I adored everything about her.) And I just avoided andthe podcast for the following ... Idk, 9 years? Up until like 3-4 goods ago. At which point I blew through the rest because WTF. I screamed out loud in anger when Graham got pulled down. But I convinced myself he was the only one who MIGHT have survived. SURPRISE!!!!!!!!
My girlfriend was gone for ,a week so I had a tiny one person, one dog, one cat podcast party for the last few days. It was awesome. This podcast is wonderful. So good at the horror, at yanking on your emotional strings, at making you care if shitty annoying characters *cough* heath *cough* Ava's mentor whose name I can't spell even though I speak spanish fluently *cough*
OH ON THAT NOTE. I LOVE the international representation so far. I pean ok obvious lean toward europe and Latin America rn, but come on at cast in an audiodrma is this varied and well-done? K. A. Stats, I salute you. I hope I'm even half the writer you are. That'd be an honor. Imo, this one super deserves to be up there with TMA, and Wolf359, the latter of which is the only sci-fi horror that wasn't a game that has ever really fucked with me.

A tiny bit shaken

I just finished courier's outbound (I was very broke ok it took me a while to get it) and the ending was... Dang. And I just sat there and was like "No. No I am not doing this again. I refuse." The last time I tried reading the serial online, my screenreader would repeat each line twice. ... Torturous does not cover it. But I was like screw it, I'm trying again this was so good. I finally found where I left off in the book, picking up at the interlude just after 7.55 (i hope that doesn't count as a spoiler) and I saw that when Pirateabba wrote that chapter, which I am only NOW seeing... It was early november of 2020. I remember what I was doing, the day they released that chapter, even. ... The amount of work that has to go into this is frankly mind-blowing. It was just kind of .... Awesome. In the traditional use of the word. That said, how much of a culture-shock am I in for, in character and writing style differences? Or is it mostly just mild grammar and spelling things that are fixed in publication?

Silly deconstruction step

I remember when this video first came out, not long after I personally took to the internet. And I was like "Shit man this is deep, this is like god" and Then I was like "Oh... This is like god. Hmm." And yeah it's silly and was obviously not very significant, but it did matter to 13 or 14 year old me. I remember feeling so ... Flabbergasted by the similarities. And it was like "There's no reason to not think this is true." And even though I knew it wasn't, it did, for like, 3 days, make me feel a little better. And then I realised how insane that was and why that was a reflection and ... Yeah. It helped. But it's so benign, comparatively, that I wanted to share, and ask if anyone else had silly deconstruction moments, instead of trauatizing, sad or otherwise shitty ones.

Y'all I wish I was joking. If I'm wrong PLEASE correct me because I'm gonna have a hard time hating on a religion I'm so busy laughing at. ... Evidently, Smith wrote that god was once a man. ... Who ascended to godhood. And that we can also ascend to godhood if we pray enough. Switch pray to cultivate, god is a concept / aspect / qi or whatever and BOOM! Light novel! It's like if someone was like "Ok the system AI from dungeon crawler carl was once a being, then it got the thingy thinged, and now maybe I can also do a thing." Like, no? Just, no. I've never felt so justified in my favourite comeback "I fear hell like I fear voldemort." I should switch it up to like, a cradle reference, or something

I'm just curious to ask, do the majority of those on here experience severe anger upticks on kepra, or similar? I've been on it for just about 5 years and never noticed a difference. ... I noticed a difference when I stopped taking prozac, but that's different. But my anger has always been... Fairly high. Did I just not notice the difference? Or are there others who also don't get the effects? ... And if it's a "That's a me thing" how do I best rake my neurologist over the coals for NOT. TELLING. ME.
