Pretty sure it's an 1858...
However, I'm not completely sure if it's been tooled to look like an 1856 or if authentic. What do you guys think?
1904S Barber dime, thinking I got a good deal for $30 at my LCS.
I saw it's estimated that only 4,000 have survived out of 800,000 minted.
Just backpacked 82.38 miles (131.8k) from Rancho Cordova, California to Auburn, California and back. Altimeter wasn't working lol
Started from my house in Rancho Cordova and went up the American River Bike trail to Folsom lake and followed the Western States trail to the confluence in Auburn California and back home in the heat! This one was tough and I almost called for a ride out, but ultimately made it. Took 5 days and 4 nights. AMA!
Anyone know much about these?
From what I could find, it looks like real gold, although a tiny amount and it's silver plated nickel?
My sister's friend found out I collected coins and gave me a 4 coin set to add to my binders.
Yes, I overpaid. These are the first 2026 coins I've seen here in northern California.
Beautiful coins. Happy 250th everyone!
I'm the only one floating today
Old fair oaks bridge and sunrise in the background.
What to do...
I made aluminum bars from some cans and decided to have a little fun with some gold paint and a stamp set.
Any relatively harmless prank ideas?
