Ianto Shrine has been vandalised

For years, a friend and I have been planning a visit to Cardiff (We're from Australia so it's quite a trip!), to visit all the famous Doctor Who/Torchwood Filming occasions, one of the spots on our list was the Ianto Shrine.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Ianto Plaque has been vandalized, with the only the wood back plate remaining, the brass plaque has been stolen.
We were already quite disappointed to hear about the shrines removal in April, however seeing that even the plaque had been vandalized and stolen was even more disappointing.
Hopefully mermaid quay will reinstate it, preferably this time with more robust mounting hardware. But more likely this spells the permanent end to the Ianto Shrines 18 year history.

Advice regarding this M54B30 piston?

Currently working on rebuilding my first M54B30 which will be installed in my 318i when all is said and done (Big task I know!)

Upon inspection of the pistons I've discovered this damage to one of the pistons, there isn't any damage to the side walls or piston rings, bore looks clean too. I'm unsure how I should proceed, whether I should "Send it" source a replacement second hand piston. Or replace the full set with new pistons.

The pistons are quite expensive so any opinions would be appreciated before I decide how to proceed!

Should I replace this piston? Or send it?

Just discovered this damage during my first top to bottom rebuild on an M54B30, there isn't any damage to the side walls or piston rings, bore looks clean too. Should I re-use the piston, replace the affected piston with a second hand piston, or purchase a whole new set? Any advice would be appreciated!
