Love Nvidia

My story with Nvidia goes back a long way. I'm 36 now, and I've owned quite a few Nvidia GPUs over the years. Right now I'm using an RTX 5070 Ti.

A while ago, I decided to try something different and bought an RX 9070 XT. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me. I was getting game stutters, random crashes, and other issues across multiple games. I spent a lot of time trying different fixes, but nothing really solved the problem.

In the end, I sold my Red Devil 9070 XT on eBay and bought an ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 5070 Ti instead. Since switching back to Nvidia, everything has been running perfectly. No crashes, no stuttering just smooth gameplay in every game I've played.

What's interesting is that two of my friends also tried the 9070 XT, and they ran into similar problems with crashes and stuttering in several games. Eventually, they gave up and switched to RTX 5080s.

I've also noticed there are a lot of Reddit posts every day about AMD driver and technical issues. Of course, that's just my personal experience, and I know plenty of people have good experiences with AMD. But after trying it myself, I don't think I'll be buying another AMD GPU anytime soon. For me, Nvidia has always been the more reliable choice, and that's what I'll be sticking with.

Why so much hate on payday 3?

I recently picked up payday 3 and all dlcs on sale at steam. I played 18 hours since Saturday. I have previously played hundreds of hours both payday 1 and payday 2. I have done all achievements in payday 1. Why people hating so much on payday 3, comparing to payday 2? For example from all series payday 1 is the best one for me but I do love payday 2 and I like payday 3. Each series has its own unique charm. I heard that release was awful for payday 3 but as of now I completed many heists with a friend who already played 600 hours. I can say the game is so much fun, stealth and loud way. So far I liked all heists.

Mild upper stomach/behind-the-breastbone discomfort after recovering from silent reflux – anyone else?

Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.
Earlier this year I had silent reflux (LPR). After stopping my PPI, I went through rebound acid hypersecretion for a couple of months, but that resolved about 6 weeks ago.
5 days ago I developed some upper stomach discomfort and bloating after eating. I also had a lot of stomach gurgling (borborygmi), but that has now gone away.
The only symptom I have left is an occasional mild discomfort or awareness in the upper middle area, just below the breastbone (around where heartburn would normally be), although it doesn’t actually feel like heartburn. It isn’t burning or painful—it just feels like something is there. It comes and goes rather than being constant.
I’ve also noticed that if I go for a walk or keep moving, I feel completely normal.
Otherwise:
Normal appetite.
Normal bowel movements.
No vomiting.
No weight loss.
No black stools or blood.
I can still exercise and go to the gym without any problems.
I’m wondering whether this could still be related to my previous reflux or whether it’s just my stomach/oesophagus settling down after everything.
Has anyone experienced something similar after recovering from reflux or stopping PPIs? If so, how long did it take to completely go away?

Stutters during grand races

I’ve played the game around 80 hours already. My PC specs are 13900k, 5070TI, 64GB ddr5, 2 x nvme SSD drives (1tb and 2tb). I play on 3440x1440 resolution. So I have an issue during grand races which mostly happens at the mid or end of the races. Not all races have micro stutters but some does. Maybe it is related to game locations. My friend said it’s internet related. I play on WiFi but I never ever had issues in multiplayer games like COD and battlefield 6 and others. I don’t think it’s my WiFi. During freedrive or if I play with friends I don’t have this issues only occasionally during grand races which makes me to loose or crash sometimes because of stutters or lag spikes. They don’t happen every race but occasionally…

Zilch payment showed as declined but money is still authorised on my card – what should I do?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice because I’m getting mixed signals from the payment system and I’m not sure whether I should be worried or just wait.
A few days ago (4th June at around 9:33 AM) I bought a ticket for an event through Kaboodle using Zilch. My Zilch account was linked to my Krak card at the time.
When I made the payment, it appeared to fail. In my Krak app the transaction showed “Payment declined”, so I assumed the purchase hadn’t gone through. However, the £105.85 was still authorised on my Krak card.
Because I thought the payment had failed, I went back into Zilch, switched the linked card to my Halifax card, and purchased the ticket again. This time everything worked and I received my confirmation email from Kaboodle.
The confusing part is that I only have:
One confirmation email
One booking reference
One ticket
But the original £105.85 on my Krak card is still showing as “Authorised” 3 days later.
Has anyone had something similar happen with Zilch? Is this likely just an authorisation hold that will eventually disappear, or should I be contacting Zilch/Krak now?

Love this game

I’ve played around 40 hours so far, progressing through the campaign and Yearly Pass content while mixing in some multiplayer sessions.

I originally picked up the game on sale with the first two Year Passes included. Recently, I started thinking about getting Forza Horizon 6. The main issue was that I didn’t want to spend £60 on the standard edition or over £100 on the Premium Edition.

Instead, I decided to buy Year Pass 3 for The Crew Motorfest for £25, and honestly, I think it was the right choice. I absolutely love this game.

Part of the reason I considered getting Forza Horizon 6 was because I attended the FH6 launch event in the UK at the British Motor Museum. I even got to meet Sung Kang at Drifter movie presentation and take a photo with him. After coming home, I felt inspired to get back into arcade racing games, and FH6 was the first thing that came to mind.

Two of my friends bought FH6, but after watching their Discord streams, I decided to stick with The Crew Motorfest and get Year Pass 3 instead.

In the end, that turned out to be the best decision. I’m having a fantastic time with the game and don’t regret it at all.

Silent reflux after stopping Omeprazole — rebound acid lasting 12 weeks?

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share my reflux story and see if anyone has experienced something similar.

I’m 36 years old and never had reflux issues before in my life. Nobody in my family has dealt with reflux either.

Back in December, I was sick for quite a long time, and my doctor prescribed antibiotics. Even after finishing them, I still felt unwell and was stressing a lot because I just wanted to recover and feel normal again. Somewhere during that period, I developed reflux.

My doctor prescribed Omeprazole twice a day for 6 weeks. While I was taking it, it definitely helped. But after the 6 weeks, my doctor told me to stop it abruptly, so I did.

About 8 days later, I developed what seems like rebound acid hypersecretion, mostly in the form of silent reflux. I’m now around week 12 since stopping Omeprazole, and I can honestly say I feel about 80–90% better compared to before. However, I still occasionally experience silent reflux during the day.

It usually happens if I leave long gaps between meals. Nights are mostly fine, and I rarely have problems while sleeping. I’ve also made a lot of diet and lifestyle changes, which definitely helped.

My question is: since I never had reflux before all this, is it normal for recovery to take this long after stopping PPIs? Has anyone else experienced a slow recovery like this?

Would really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences.
