What are we doing for workouts?

I’m due in August and have been doing light at home workouts but I’m curious what moms of 2+ kids are doing as far as working out.

Are y’all going to the gym? Do you go for runs? Do you take the kids? Hubby watches them? Etc.

Handling the 4th heat!

How are we doing Mamas’ and littles? Not sure where y’all are but the heatwave has been CRAZY where I am!

They said that locals shouldn’t light fireworks at home due to possibly lighting your yard on fire and the local fire teams are set up for tonight’s festivities.

Anywho, are y’all actually going out and doing anything today or this evening? I feel like I want to celebrate, but with this heat I can’t do it.

Also friendly reminder to drink your water and/or electrolytes today!

Happy 4th!!!

Am I the jerk for telling my husband that we “can’t” get a dog right now?

First off, I love and adore dogs. Always have, and we don’t deserve them.

That said, I’m currently pregnant with our second child (Due in August) and we have a young toddler too, who is about to be 18 months. Now of course I feel very blessed that I get to be home with them and my husband takes wonderful care of us and is very involved.

However lately he’s been saying that he wants a dog. In general I’m not opposed, but realistically I know I can’t handle having to train a puppy and take care of two little kids at the same time. He suggested hiring someone to train them, but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. I’ve trained family dogs before so I’m comfortable doing it, I think it’ll just be too much for me right now.

To be fair I did say we could get one when our youngest is older maybe 2 or 3. I don’t know I guess I wanted to vent, but any advice is welcome if any if you have done anything like this.

Also just to note, my husband HAS NOT ever implied that he thinks I’m being unreasonable or a jerk, but he does get a bit sad when I shut him down, so I just naturally feel bad.

Ladies! Let’s brighten everyone’s day!

What is something that your spouse, friend, family member did for you lately that made you feel special, seen, cared for, made you laugh, etc?

For example I’m a STM, due in August and my husband surprised me with the most beautiful “just because” flowers since my old ones died. Yes I cried, but I’m hormonal lol. Then after that he took our LO for a walk while I took a nap.

RUN TO AERIE!

STM here!

Maybe I’m late to the game, but I’ve been STRUGGLING with finding comfortable clothes particularly for postpartum! I had such a rough time with my first postpartum with finding comfortable clothing in particular. I didn’t want stuff touching my belly, I didn’t want to feel constricted so I could still breastfeed, etc.

Anyway long story short I found the most butter soft pants at Aerie that feel like pjs but also still have pockets!

It’s the Offline by Aerie
Real Me Wide Leg pants

For reference I’m 5’8 and they’re ankle length on me even with my belly at 30 weeks!!

There’s also tops in the same material!

Hope this helps anyone looking for comfy clothes! xx

February in WY?

Long story short, my husband has been itching to go back to see family and he’s wanting to bring our kids. It’s kind of become a tradition where we go visit when our youngest is 6mo old, that seems to be the sweet spot for first time traveling with our kids.

Now here’s the thing, our youngest will be 6mo old in February and we went last year in September, two very different seasons. Granted I absolutely loved our trip and we’re both eager to go back so that’s not the issue.

Would it be worth taking toddlers & a baby that time of year? Will stuff be open? Is it still brutal weather wise? My husband keeps talking about moving to WY but I told him we need to see what winter is like so maybe this is a good starting point?

Edit: We have family in more central WY, Laramie, I mostly just don’t want to dox any family we have out there so that would be the closest.
