Anyone Familiar with the H&R Self-Loading .32

Picked up an H&R self-loading .32 and I’m trying to decide how far to go with it.
It’s got honest wear and has definitely seen better days. From what I’ve found, these don’t seem to have a ton of collector value, so I’m considering a restoration rather than just preserving it.
For those familiar with these pistols, how would you approach restoring it. Any tips on common issues, parts, or historically correct finishes would be appreciated.
I’m also interested in any history behind these H&R self-loading .32s. There doesn’t seem to be nearly as much information available on them as there is for other early pocket pistols.

Preserve or replace? Rusty ejector rod on a nickel Colt Detective Special

Picked this up at the same time as my Colt 1903. Overall it’s in really nice shape, but the ejector rod has some fairly significant rust.
A few questions for those of you with more experience restoring nickel-finished firearms:
Would you replace the ejector rod outright, or try to clean and preserve the original?
The nickel still has a decent shine but definitely shows its age. Would you leave it alone, give it a gentle polish, or is the risk of thinning the nickel not worth it?
I’m also pretty disappointed by the screwdriver marks around the screws. I assume there’s not much that can be done about those without completely refinishing the gun, but I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
I’d appreciate hearing how you would approach preserving it.
Feel free to share any history that there is to know about this gun as well!

27M with symptomatic low T. Started enclomiphene + gonadorelin. Feeling better, but wondering if TRT is eventually inevitable.

I’m a 27-year-old male, 6’3”, 240 lb. I’ve been training seriously for about 10 years, played college lacrosse, and currently work a high-stress job with irregular hours.
For the past four years I’ve been dealing with:
Low libido
Depressed mood/lack of motivation
Poor sleep
Difficulty making progress in the gym despite consistent training and nutrition
I finally went to a men’s health clinic for a workup.
Labs (05/29/2026)
Fasted, drawn at 10:00 AM
TSH: 4.89
Free T4: 1.2
Prolactin: 11.3
LH: 3.0
FSH: 2.1
Estradiol: 31
SHBG: 16
Total Testosterone: 344 ng/dL
Free Testosterone: 66 pg/mL
Previous Labs (01/07/2026, fasted) lab done for experiencing the same systems from my primary doc.
TSH: 7.92
Free T4: 1.2
Total Testosterone: 376 ng/dL
Fast forward back to 05/29/3026 the clinic started me on:
Enclomiphene 12.5 mg four times per week
Gonadorelin three times per week
I’ve been on this protocol for about a month, and I’ll have repeat labs in two weeks.
Improvements so far
Better overall mood
Slight improvement in libido
Better gym performance and recovery
Noticeably better pumps during workouts
My concern is that the more I read, the more I see people saying enclomiphene eventually loses effectiveness or that many patients end up transitioning to TRT anyway.
Having children is very important to me, so preserving fertility is a major factor in whatever treatment I pursue.
My questions
Based on my symptoms and lab work, would I generally be considered a reasonable candidate for TRT?
For someone who wants children, is enclomiphene generally a better long-term option than TRT?
If I eventually transition to TRT, what are the realistic risks to fertility? Has anyone here maintained or regained fertility with hCG, enclomiphene, or after stopping TRT?
Has anyone here been on enclomiphene long term (1+ years)? If so, have the benefits remained consistent?
I’m interested in both personal experiences and evidence-based opinions.

1903 — restore, refinish, or leave alone?

Recently acquired this 1903 and I’ve been going back and forth on which direction to take it. Leave it as-is? Get it some original grips? Go for a full restoration? Not sure yet if it’s safe to shoot, but I’d like to shoot it eventually. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
