Title. Just bought the game today, and after button mashing with a friend for a little while, I decided Raphael was the character I liked best, so any advice/tips for playing him would be much appreciated.

#1: how active is the playerbase, am I going to wait 15 minutes between matches?

#2: I've decided I either want to play Voldo or Azwel, any advice for learning either of them?

#3: any advice in general for learning the game( I'm not new to fighting games, but I'm not the best, I mainly play GGST where I main Venom and Axl, both in plat3 )?

#4: does it still have support(I noticed it was like 8 years old), and does it have crossplay( I play on Xbox )?

#5: what's the best button configuration for hitbox?

I've had the game for a while, but I never actually invested any time in to it, other than about an hour of practice mode with Cammy, and just went back to GGST because the combo structure seemed weird, but I've chosen to give it a fair shot. I decided to pick Guile because he seemed pretty similar to my main in GGST(Venom), as their both charge characters and zoners, though he does seem to be a lot simpler than Venom. Anyway, what advice y'all got for both Guile, and SF in general. Also, how difficult is this game in comparison to Guilty gear? it seems a lot slower pace, and I'm not seeing many crazy mixups, just a lot of strike/throw?

It doesn't make any sense why I just shouldn't be able to see my character when they do, it makes things like trying to 6p bandit bringer unnecessarily hard, and annoying.

Its so annoying how I can get my 2k to hit then try to go into 2d, only to be minus right in front of them because it doesn't connect (it makes me miss playing Asuka, and Dizzy).

I generally lab this stuff, but I didn't buy her. I've gotten pretty decent at dealing with everything else she does, and I consistently beat her, but this move is the bane of my existence. I play Venom, if anyone has any character specific counterplay. Thanks.

I honestly don't know if this would be overpowered or not, but I see no reason why projectiles shouldn't hit extended hurtboxes, especially someone like Venom who's whole kit is centered around them. I feel like it would make a lot of his bad matchups a bit more bearable.

I am sick and tired of fighting this one laggy ass Zato, who keeps ragequiting every time I'm about to win, and it keeps matching me with them continuously, so how the hell do you empty your block list. thanks

Almost everybody has some way to completely negate his zoning, which in comparison to most every other zoner is already pretty mediocre, Lucy has her gun, ram has her rock, pot has flick(nerf this move, so that it only destroys projectiles, and doesn't shoot back), and dark angel just gets cancelled by every other projectile super(at least make it so they both cancel out). Far slash is really his only good poke, and its out ranged by every one else with long buttons. It just feels as if I'm always fighting an uphill battle playing him, which kinda sucks because he's so cool, I've been playing the game for around 6 months(and him for almost 2 weeks) and after playing a bunch of other characters I think I'm going to try to main him, alongside Axl, but its definitely going to take some extreme grinding.
