I have an 8bitd0 snes pro that has served me well for quite a few years. But the cord is breaking where it goes in to the body. I have seen a ton of ads for the gamesir controllers all over tiktok and was wondering if anyone has tried them? Do they feel OK? Response time and latency issues? Im trash at any gaming and my system very shortly is going to live in an arcade cabinet so the external controls don't need to be any where near perfect but would like them to be a decent quality

Is anyone else having issues changing the user configs in dolphin? I started with v39 a few years ago and had my 8bitdo mapped and working wii games with sideways controls thanks to batocera nations guide on YouTube. A little over a month ago I had an issue with theme giving me black screens and the system wouldn't boot. I started over from scratch but now when I change the user config for those games in dolphin to load the custom profiles it doesn't save the script after I close the dolphin emulator config file in applications. I mentioned it in the discord but got no response on the issue there.

You guys have been a god send!!!! I had been working on my system for about 4 years and recently had to nuke it and start over with a fresh build. Welp, about a month later and I have my system back. Well I found v43 does apple 2e games and I loaded a ton of roms. Im trying to play Karateka and I managed to find the emulator that worked. The game is designed for a 2 button joystick and I can get the buttons to work but not the joystick. I tried the retro arch menu with no luck. How the hell can i set my Xbox retro pad to function as that joystick? Then maybe later we can dive in to ape escape for ps1 lol

As I transfer my rom files, slowly in mass via USB, I go through the games list and find duplicates. Some are on the same system and some are games that duplicate across platforms. If I use the ES advance settings to delete the game does that delete it from the roms folder? Or just from the ES list? I'm too concerned about about disc space since I have 1.8T worth of storage in that partition, just more so wondering how deep that option goes.

So i want to play ape escape. But when I open the game I get a Playstation error message about dual shock analog controls. Is there a setting i can change the controls? Im using a standard 8bitdo snes clone that has l&r triggers and shoulders that registers as an Xbox control when plugged in

Alright guys. I have been setting up a pc for a custom arcade cabinet I'm building. Batocera has been a god send for this process. I recently updated to v43.1 and started having issues. First was not being able to get the 3ds emulator to default to vulkan graphics, im using an old optiplex 7010 so the openGL it defaults to isn't compatible with preinstalled graphics card. Then after changing the the theme I got a black screen and found it to be stuck in a boot loop. I went over for support on this discord channel. The options that gave just weren't panning out. Long story short, after 3 years of work to get to where I was I felt my only option wad to nuke the drive and start over. I still had the v39 image on my pc so I etched to my drive. Bada Bing bada boom im back in business. Now, first world problems being first world problems. It's obnoxiously long to switch back and forth from pc and batocera to transfer files via USB thumb drive. I am using the same USB wifi adapter I did previously. I turn on wifi, find my network, enter my log in credentials but it doesn't connect. Tried multiple different networks I have access to with same results. Even tried to restart with wifi on, off, with credentials and without. Am I missing something? Or should I plug in an ether net connection first and see if it jump starts the wifi for the system?

Hello all. My some has a ps5 with a loose hdmi port. I am relatively handy and am not afraid to solder. But board work like this makes my butt pucker. Any recommendations of someone or some place I could take it to? I live in the south metro near valley fair

So i have asked a few questions here before and I am gonna ask many more. I have batocera running on the hardware if an old dell optiplex with roms and os loaded on a Seagate 2tb ssd USB hard drive. Could I, in theory, plug said hard drive In to the pi and load everything? Or is it a different ver of batocera for the pi form factor?

So I have been building a pc for an arcade. The pc is an old Dell optiplex. The issue im having currently is with the 3ds emulator. When I load games I get an error about openGL not being compatible with my hardware. I go into settings and change it to Vulkan and the game plays nicely. Close out and go back in and I get the same error. I went in to the backend and changed the settings in there as well but it wont keep the setting. Chat gpt gave me a short script line to add to the code to change the default and that didn't work. How can I get the settings to change and stay? Also if anyone knows if functional wii u roms exist?
