I'm working through a knife block and I've come to the conclusion that I don't really know what the best way of actually gluing in the dowels that hold the knives in place and keep everything together. They are 1/4" oak dowels that need to go through 7 layers of wood.

My initial thought is just to glue up one piece at a time and do my best between each layup to keep everything clean.

I have one of the narrow Pax units to act as a larger 3D printer enclosure. I'd like the printer to sit on one of the pull out trays, but their weight capacity is less than the weight of the printer (22 lbm vs 35 lbm)

I am planning to just make my own shelf, but I was looking for thoughts from the community on what the best avenues are for doing this. My initial thought was just to use a higher weight capacity drawer slide + build the shelf out of 3/4" melamine.

Main question: is the weight limit on the tray driven by the slide or by the shelf itself? I.e. if I build a stronger tray with better slides, will the unit still fail because the side walls aren't able to support the weight?

Both ways are currently flooded.

We can debate until the sun burns out about whether or not the Provo rainbow flag was great or awful (I am of the honest opinion that it was an excellent flag) or whether the new flag is elegant or boring, but their original, original flag, designed in 1976, is absolutely goated with the sauce, as the kids say.

I only discovered this incredible flag today, and I think it easily beats out any subsequent flag for Provo. Just a nice flag.

I saw an undemocratic post earlier today asking for a silencer for the AMR. What the AMR *really* needs is a loudener. Do not fear alerting the enemies of Lady Liberty! Relish in the fear the roar of your rifle will instill. When you fire the AMR, you should rest easy knowing that the entire map knows where you are.

Howdy all! I'm working in building a low, mostly decorative wall in my back yard and bought 6x6 Dry Stack from my local landscape stone yard. I've done some reading on how to cut these blocks down, but I am struggling to even cut one. I have a pretty basic masonry chisel from Harbor Freight, and made a score line around the stone. Tried to break it with some hammer blows around the stone and nothing. Made my score line deeper and tried again. I've been doing this a couple of times and so far haven't managed to do much beyond chip some bits off the stone from around the score.

Is there anything obviously wrong with this process/the cut? I did start with about a 45degree angle cut, is that a bad idea?

I found myself a little bored with Helldiving and started trying out different weapons. Most of them honestly felt pretty similar to each other in my hands. No two were quite identical, but they were also pretty easy to put into buckets. The assault rifles all play relatively the same, the marksmen rifles and shotguns have their uses. In a moment of particular confusion, I jumped into a Bot mission with the Constitution.

I'd never used it before, and wow, it is a lot of fun. I don't really have any secondaries better than the P-113 Verdict, but against bots, that combo is a ton of fun. Toss in an EAT or a leveler, and you have yourself an entirely viable load out. It's not fast, it doesn't deal damage quickly, but damn if it isn't the most fun I've had in this game for a while.

I'm honestly pretty tempted to get the Masters of Ceremony warbond just so I can get consistent access to the One True Flag and some dripped out parade uniforms to really flex on the undemocratic haters.

(PS, I haven't used it on any other front, I imagine it would be a lot worse against the bugs or squids...)

(PPS, please Arrowhead, give us the option to toss a scope on this bad boy. It'd take its utility from a fun niche weapon to an actually effective long range platform)
