How much did the daily grind actually cost?

How much of your paycheck did you get to spend on hobbies and cool clothes or going out?

Other countries tell us we did this to ourselves but almost half of us didn't vote for him

I'm a firm believer that the only reason he won both times is because the alternative was a woman. Sucks that our country doesn't trust women enough but I knew the electoral votes would go to any man over any woman (enter Biden) He didn't win by a landslide either. Both Harris and Clinton won the popular vote.

Almost half of us didn't want any of this. He won by something crazy like 1.5% And then he still tried to claim that there was voter manipulation and illegal citizens voting stuffed ballots. Then now we see him bullying all the states that voted blue. We need to reform our voting system so badly. Not even half way through his term. What an absolute shit show.

What kind of president wants his own country divided?

My idea is that we change the settings that hide all of our profile activity from other users.

We do have the right to stay as anonymous as possible. But we should be able to see something. There has to be a middle ground that possibly the users and community vote on. I understand some have safety issues but we can keep all of that hidden. Maybe we can share the subs we follow and possibly how many points you have in each one. And maybe be able to make some post or comments hidden and others not at our personal discretion.

WIBTAH if I confront my son about dating someone who is developmentally challenged?

I [f-38] am wondering if I should confront my son [m-19] about dating a girl [f-22] who has developmental syndromes? She doesn't have downs syndrome but when my husband and I first met her it was very apparent when she spoke. Later we asked my son if she was challenged he said yes. He doesn't know more about her condition other than that. He said she has dated other guys in the past. She is very high functioning but I believe she is on disability. I just am not sure how to feel about it. My kid is respectful of women and I don't believe he feels he is taking advantage of her. But is he? She is a nice person and if this kind of thing is normal then I would like to educate myself more about it but I currently feel uncomfortable about it. WIBTAH if I shared those thoughts with him? I honestly just don't know.

I'm sorry if I'm not using the correct language here so please forgive me if I say anything inappropriate. Ive never been in this situation and I'm open to being educated about it.

Edit: I was concerned about her capacity to give enthusiastic consent. That is better worded than my original statement. And confront isn't the right word either. If I ask them both questions about it, is that rude?

Would you rather be led by someone who has personally experienced hardship, or someone who has had success and stability their whole life?

I'm asking other groups as well and I'm interested in your bias

I wish when CERN turns off on 6/29/26 that we jump timelines to a reality that makes everyone's life way better by at least 22% than it is now

I wish that when any woman turns 30 yrs old they get to choose their physical appearance for the rest of their life. You can only change five times total and have to wait for 5 years before you can change again. And I get a job as one of the women designers but changing is also free

How much am I paying just to get to work?

With gas at $4.69/gallon, your SUV is basically drinking premium financial regret 🫠

Using the same assumptions:

45 min each way

~90 miles/day

25 MPG

5 days/week

$25/hour pay

Daily Gas Cost

Gas used daily

90 ÷ 25 MPG = 3.6 gallons/day

Cost

3.6 × $4.69 =

≈ $16.88/day

Call it:

~$17/day

Just for gas.

Not repairs. Not tires. Not maintenance. Not the slow spiritual erosion of brake pads.

Real Effective Hourly Wage

Commute time:

1.5 hours/day = 7.5 unpaid hours/week THIS IS THE REALLY SHIT PART

Total life hours spent for work:

47.5 hours/week

Effective wage after gas:

$916 ÷ 47.5

≈ $19.30/hour before taxes

After taxes, you’re probably functionally around:

~$14-16/hour real-life value

People love saying just get a better job while requiring workers to teleport across entire counties in 2-ton steel debt cubes. Beautiful system. Absolute masterpiece. Affordability is a hoax right?
