AITAH for forgetting to wish my gf a happy birthday in the morning
So previously the day before my gf’s car window cracked and I helped her look around for a company to replace her car window. She stated she would pay in credit card.
The day of, which is today, her birthday. I wake up early in the morning say 6-7am and get straight to working in a call center. This morning, I got a message from my manager that ruined a bit of my mood so I was stressing over it.
I completely forgot to wish my gf a happy birthday and asked her to just hand me her credit card for the mobile window repair service instead.
When she left, she texted me saying why I did not wish her a happy birthday and that she was sad. The best thing I could do is tell her what I wrote here and apologized and wished it through text, which of course I will wish it again in person.
There is no plan to do anything for her today because I spent over $800 to plan for her birthday day on Sunday. Will be taking her skydiving which she absolutely loves, and take her on a hike and a dinner afterwards! It was supposed to be a surprise but she insisted on knowing the week before, last week.. I was saving it to be special to tell her today.
Now she is extremely upset and telling me I don’t love her, and that if she doesn’t tell me to plan things, then I won’t plan things for her. She then proceeds to tell me to cancel the plan and skydiving tickets for her since she said “don’t wish me anything anymore” “you can cancel the tickets I don’t want to go anymore”.
I apologized to her countless of times and I couldn’t say anything over the phone since I was working in a call center. I didn’t mean to text her happy birthday and it flew over my head in the morning..
