Runna's auto generated plans did not have much recovery or steady build up and I was worried about over training. I have heard good things about the guided runs here at Nike with Mr Bennett and the Half Marathon training plan looks like it has a ton of active recovery built in for injury prevention. Let's see where this takes me!
I see a lot of posts and people talking about it just being interesting for HR data and sleep tracking but I mainly want it for my fitness goals. I am a runner training for a Marathon and don't currenrly own any smart watches for any data. A way to passively count my steps and provide me with HR data to pair with Strava/Runna/NRC for zone data or record runs alongside standalone apps like Zombies, Run! that can't share data.
The ability to wear a regular mechanical watch alongside is a plus but for my fitness needs do these screenless trackers work well since I am looking for more active tracking?
Half Marathon scheduled for September. Sub goal sub 30 5k!
Runna Return to Running 2.8 miles continuous
First sub 40 PB, I usually run 13min/mile but this morning was simple
Step 1: Wake up at 5am after going to bed super late
Step 2: Chug some coffee
Step 3: go for my run without any food in THE RAIN
Step 4: Apparently run 12 min/mile comfortably and PB everything
Man, bodies are weird. My worst conditions to be running yet was my best time so far while building my 5k base.
Do you have to provide proof if finishing before you can actually buy the medals or can I just buy them?? I see they are finisher medals themed after the virtual races but they show as just available for purchase when viewing
Did my initial couch to 5k plan through Runna but have heard great things about NRC's guided runs so as I got the 5k base and signed up for a Half Marathon I hope Coach Bennett can get me across the HM line.
The mileage from my Runna plan I want to add to NRC so I keep track of those initial 400 miles and when to expect possibly new shoes. Can I add the miles to NRC or should I just set the Mileage goal lower on NRC and let it track it's own miles?
Wasn't necessarily planning on a 5k today but felt super strong and found it easy to keep moving :)
Planned run today was only 1.8 miles Conversational pace
