Fresh AB Psych graduate looking for advice

Hi! Ab psych graduate from dlsu. I took a break after grad so I’ve been unemployed for a few months now.

I really want to start job hunting but I’m overwhelmed and don’t know where to start 💀 I plan to apply in HR roles.

I’m also worried my resume isn’t strong enough. My only work experience is my OJT in a clinic. I joined orgs and handled projects but not sure if those experiences are relevant to HR. I’m also not a latin honor.

For AB Psych grads who went into HR (esp those in the same position as me), what companies would you recommend applying to as a fresh grad? How did you improve your resume and prepare for interviews? I’m also pretty anxious during interviews and tend to fumble when I’m nervous. 🥲

I’m hoping for a hybrid setup, and I’m also wondering what salary range is realistic for someone in my position. I was thinking ₱30k as a starting salary, but I genuinely don’t know if that’s too much, too little, or reasonable?

Relationship problems right before my boyfriend started med school — am I expecting too much?

I'm 23F and my boyfriend is 24M. We've been together seriously since college, although we've known and liked each other since junior high.

Our relationship has been complicated. We've had trust issues, major fights, and both of us have made mistakes. He cheated on me last year, and there were other things that damaged my trust before and after that. I also know I haven't been a perfect partner. I’m more of an anxious partner and really wants assurance and attention from him esp given everything that had happened. To be fair, I did get back at him (had one time sex with someone). Which I know is still completely wrong.

Eventually, we decided to try to rebuild the relationship.

Before he started med school, we actually had a serious conversation about how difficult the transition would be. He told me he understood and would still make an effort and give me time. I believed him, and I've been trying to keep that promise in mind.

But now I’m struggling. He does make an effort. But I don't feel like it's consistent enough for me, especially considering the trust that was already broken between us.

A lot of the time, I feel like I have to become upset before he realizes that I need something from him. Then he gets frustrated because he feels overwhelmed, I get even more anxious, we fight, and eventually things become okay again. It's become a cycle.

And I'm starting to wonder whether I'm being unfair because he's literally just starting med school or whether the relationship genuinely isn't giving either of us what we need.

We had another fight yesterday, and I told him we shouldn't talk for the meantime. I said I'm doing it more for him than for myself because I don't want to add more stress to his life. He knows I struggle with anxiety around distance and uncertainty, and he hasn't messaged me since. I know he may simply be studying and wants some space to actually breathe.

At the same time, I feel guilty because I don't want to be the girlfriend who constantly needs reassurance from someone who's already drowning in schoolwork.

How much does med school realistically change your capacity for a relationship? And more importantly, is it reasonable to expect consistent effort and communication from a partner in med school, especially when you're trying to rebuild trust?

I don't expect him to prioritize me over school. I just don't know what a realistic expectation looks like. Would really appreciate perspectives from people who've actually experienced med school + relationships. Thank you! 😭

My boyfriend and I have been through so much. [23F] and [24M]

Hi! My bf and I liked each other since jhs. Our relationship was very on-and-off back then because he wasn't really ready for a relationship which was understandable whatever he did before because we were so young. We eventually became serious when we were about to enter college, and for a while, things were really good.

Around 3-4 years ago I found out he'd hidden some things from me from before we got back together. I was hurt, but I eventually forgave him.

Over time, I kept finding things that bothered me. jokes about girls, watching some yk videos, sending hot girls' tiktoks, and at one point messaging a girl we had had a complicated history with. Maybe some people wouldn't consider those things serious, but they really affected me.

Then in 2025, we had a huge fight. I started doing a lot of self-reflection because I genuinely thought maybe I was the problem. I wondered if I was too clingy, too jealous, or too protective. I knew I wasn't a perfect partner.

Then I found out he had cheated on me starting around February 2025. From what I know, it wasn't like it was happening every day or constantly with different girls, but it happened around February–early August 2025. I found out because a girl messaged me.

After that, I started to like someone. It wasn’t deep and nothing really happened. I told my bf immediately because I felt guilty. But I realized that liking was partly because of everything that happened in my rs.

We actually talked about fixing things and starting over again. Unfortunately, around September there’s also the whole situation with the girl I mentioned earlier. Before we went out of the country, he met up with her, and then two more times afterward. From what he told me, his intention was basically sex. He said part of it came from his ego being hurt after one of our fights, when I angrily told him that whatever he did, that girl wouldn't even reply to him anymore and that he should try if he wanted his ego humbled. I obviously didn't expect my angry words to actually lead to something like that.

Then in November, I also made a mistake. I tried to get back at him, I had sex with someone but didn't finish because I felt guilty and stopped. It was still wrong tho, and I don't want to pretend I was a perfect partner. But what I did was so out of my character.

Despite all of this, we eventually chose to talk about everything and try to work things out again.

Sometimes I’m okay, but most of the time I think I’m struggling.

He recently started med school. Before he started, we actually talked about how difficult the transition would be. He told me he understood and would still make time for me and make an effort. I was holding onto that promise because rebuilding trust after everything obviously isn't going to happen that easily. And to be fair,** **he does make some effort and I appreciate them.

But given everything that happened, sometimes it feels like nothing really feels special or like he's going out of his way to rebuild what was broken. And I feel guilty even saying that because maybe if none of these things had happened between us, I'd appreciate the exact same efforts much more. Maybe I'd see them differently if we were already okay.

I also feel like he has become complacent with our relationship. Maybe he's gotten comfortable knowing that no matter what happens, the relationship will still be there. and maybe because it’s alr been a cycle.

And I hate that. I don't want him to only make an effort because we're fighting. I want things to happen naturally and consistently.

And here's the part I've been thinking about the most:
I sometimes feel like maybe I'm hurting him simply by being in his life.

I feel like I've become so reactive to everything that has happened between us. I don't want to keep repeating the same pattern with him, especially now that he's starting such a demanding chapter of his life. At the same time, he's been such an important person to me for years. Despite everything I've talked about here, I still see the good in him.

I know you might come at me and say I deserve what I tolerate etc., But what do you think I should do? I don’t really know what I want to ask, maybe I just want to hear honest opinions from other people 😭 Thanks!
