Coverup or blast over?

Coverup or blast over?

So as the title says I have been considering finally fixing the tattoos I hate most on my body and those are my current back pieces. I got these in my teenage years and have regretted it since.

Ive avoided doing anything about them cause I figured it would be too difficult of an ask or too expensive. But I’d really like to finally try and find an artist comfortable with possibly either covering up these tattoos with a large back piece or doing a blast over. I don’t really mind if I still see them a bit but overall I just want a better looking back. I’ve met with laser tattoo removal offices and they informed me that because of the colors, it wouldn’t completely work and if anything I’d be left with some of the coloring still that would look like a bruise.

So essentially I’m trying to know if covering this up with a large floral piece as a coverup or blast over is even possible?

When are you actually considered a sr at your job title?

Hey everyone! I feel like the line gets blurred a lot as far as timing goes for when your job title changes to something like “senior art director “.

And I’ve just been curious to know if there is a definitive answer or if it may be depends on where you’re located or what your job responsibilities look like?

I ask because my friends consider me a mid-level creative, I finished advertising school in 2024, I’ve done about two internships and I’ve worked a handful of roles. I’m currently working as a digital marketing coordinator for a small company and I’m making the salary of a junior art director at the moment.

I just saw an associate I went to school with who started their first role in 2024, and they are moving onto another company now as a senior art director? They live in New York and I’m in the south of the US so I don’t know if that changes things? I just figured making it to senior level would take like four or five years or something.

Would love any clarity or advice as I still feel new to the world of marketing.

Soft tissue sarcoma?

Apologies for posting on here again so soon, the reason my girl has needed a cone of shame for a bit is because she most recently went through a surgical procedure to remove a mass from her paw.

The vet just called this morning and told me that it tested positive for being a cancerous tumor that is somewhat aggressive. She also called it a soft tissue sarcoma, I’m gonna be honest, my head went a little fuzzy after she told me that it’s cancerous and I can’t fully remember all of the options she laid out, but I’m just trying to get a better understanding of what this means for my girl.

She’s a 12 year-old greyhound and I do remember the vet listing possible options as far as seeing an oncologist and talked about radiation or chemotherapy, but I’m just not sure I wanna put her under that stress considering her age. I’m not really sure what to do next or how to feel aside from frustrated and sad.

Would just love some insight from anyone else who may have dealt with this and what your journey looked like with your hound. Anyhow, any advice would be greatly appreciated during this time.

Somira health starting me on higher dose, is this normal?

Hey everyone! So I have been on tirz before, but had to take a break due to being laid off, as you can imagine over these last six months I have put the weight back on even when trying to keep up healthy habits. (Bad genetics I suppose)

So many of you were so kind to give me suggestions when I’ve asked a question here before about getting back on it and what brand to go with. I’m happy to say I’m starting my journey back up with Somira health and I’m very excited. I will be doing the tirz compound with B12, and when I finished the paperwork and paying for the first three months, I noticed it said my starting dose would be 5 mg and would go up from there.

Is it normal when starting over with a company that knows you have a previous history of using it in the past, that they start you off at a higher dose?

Just wanna make sure I’m not doing anything wrong and that I’m being careful🥲

Nervous about surgery for my senior girl’s paw lump, looking for advice/second opinions

My greyhound Penny (12, retired racer) has had a hard-ish bump on her right paw for about a year now. It's slowly grown, I took a photo back in February to track it, and I took another one today so you can see the difference.

It's the only spot like this on her body, she's got the usual moles and skin tags elsewhere, but nothing that looks or feels like this one. I took her in because I was worried it might be something serious. Her vet ran bloodwork and checked her overall health, she's in good shape otherwise. But when they took a sample via syringe, they came back saying they found "abnormal cells" and pretty quickly pushed for surgery to remove it and send it off for biopsy.

Here's my hesitation: she's 12, and I'm nervous about putting her under anesthesia for something like this. The vet didn't really explain whether this is something that could actually threaten her health, or if it's more likely just a weird growth like her other benign spots. To add to my confusion, the bump has actually gotten a little smaller since the February photo instead of bigger.

I'm considering getting a second opinion before committing to surgery. Has anyone dealt with something similar with an older greyhound? Would love to hear how it turned out, or any questions I should be asking the vet before deciding.

Gold jewelry pricing in Atlanta

Hope this isn’t a dumb question.

I’m trying to find a piercing shop to replace some of my facial piercing jewelry with gold and was trying to compare pricing as so far I’ve only been to virtue and vice, just to change out one of the bars to gold was gonna cost me $300, then when I went to Kolo in Little five it was $800.

I’m just trying to find some place affordable hoping to at most spend up to $200 if possible. Would love any advice or insight.

Fur baby is now joining me at work

Question for others who have brought their grey to work with them, I’m hoping this will help with her separation anxiety and also give her some other dog friends to be around more often. I work at a dog friendly office so everyone brings their babies.

I’m just trying to gauge how long it may take her to get used to this new normal?

How do people like Allprovide?

I was feeding my girl Stella and chewys raw for a bit then switched to tuckers. Now I wanna make the switch to Allprovide, a friend recommended the brand and I found out when I called them that they offer 20% off your order if you call to pick up. So I’m glad to support a local brand as well.

Would love some input from others who have used the brand as well to make sure I’m making the right call. Would like to get away from Tuckers as I keep finding larger than I’d like bone fragments in my dogs food.

Granted she is a large dog (greyhound, 75lbs)and I know realistically she and her stomach acids can handle it, but I don’t wanna risk it just to be safe.

Time for joint supplements?

I have a 12 year-old greyhound named Penelope, and I’m worried she may need help with her joints or possibly have arthritis? She still gets zoomies sometimes and is walking normally, but I’ve noticed she’s had some hesitancy coming down the stairs versus growing up them. She’s been having duck and chicken feet daily for years as a preventative along with omega 3 oil, but I’m worried she might have some form of arthritis when it comes to coming down the stairs.

Essentially, it will take her a few tries, and she will whine a little bit and then eventually can come down. Do you think it’s time I look into hip and joint supplements to give her daily? Would love any recommendations if so!

How much can your car insurance rate go up from a minor accident?

I’ll try to make this brief as I have a bad habit of rambling,
apologies.

My car insurance is with progressive, and I have a clean record have really only ever gotten into one accident which happened about a month ago, didn’t really feel like an accident, but because I’ve never been in one before I didn’t really know what I should or should not be doing. I was sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on a very busy freeway, at most moved up about 2 to 3 mph just to inch up like everyone else was, the woman in front of me did not move up and I ended up bumping her.

We moved over to the far left lane, the woman, for some reason seemed terrified of me? Wouldn’t really get out of her car when I came over to ask if she was OK, if there was anything I could do to help, she rolled down her window a tiny bit and told me that she called the cops, I asked her would you like me to stay and wait with you? And she just said sure. She didn’t really bother to get out of the car until the police showed up, and the first thing she said to him was “my neck hurts my back hurts. “ mind you she’s walking and talking just fine. Looks like she’s maybe in her 80s? I just went ahead and took pictures of the front of my vehicle and the back of hers to show that there was literally no damage done to either car.

Cop got both of our stories and when he came to talk to me, he specifically said “she’s acting like you quickly rear ended and drove into her, but there would be more damage to her car to correlate with the damage she’s feeling in her body, so I’m not sure what’s going on”. Took the cops report, went our separate ways and I went ahead and got in touch with Progressive later that same day to file a claim and submit all of my information along with the photo and video evidence of the cars.

Since then, I hadn’t heard anything or gotten anything in the mail about the incident. So I just assumed it was an open and shut case because there was no damage. Eventually find out earlier this morning when I called progressive to ask about enrolling in auto pay, I asked about the claim and they told me that the case was closed and that there was a payout. I asked what do you mean there was a payout? There was no investigation, no one asked me any follow up questions and she had no damage to her vehicle or to herself so what do you mean? Customer service rep told me that there was a payout of about $3,000 for bodily injury and auto damage.

They then went on to remind me that when my contract renews that it will show a possibly higher rate because of the accident. I have never had this happen before and I am just in shock and I’m nervous about how high this might go up now. I didn’t think someone as old as this woman would decide to pull something like this considering how bad the economy is for everyone right now. I just don’t know what to do and would appreciate any advice if possible.

I do plan to call my claims adjuster Monday morning to basically ask what happened and why I wasn’t notified of this or why there wasn’t a further investigation done.

Is it realistic to lose about 40lbs in a year?

Hello everyone, new user here. I’ve been thinking of finally giving Tirzepatide a try after reading about the various companies available and so far Brello not only seems to be the most affordable option, but I’ve also read a lot of good things about people’s positive experiences with them.

I’m hoping to start next month and do this in conjunction with my exercise routine of going to the gym three times a week and eating moderately healthy. I do tend to eat out more on weekends of course

Is it a realistic goal that if I try this and continue my routine, that I should hope to lose about 40 pounds in a year? I’m a woman in her mid 30s, I weigh about 198 at the moment, and it’s been pretty difficult for my weight to get any lower lately, especially as I’ve gotten older. Would just love to hear some success stories and if I’m being realistic enough about starting this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Need to retrain my senior ?

So I currently have a 12 year-old greyhound, I rescued her back when she was 5 and I already knew going into this that she would have bad separation anxiety.

I thought I had trained her pretty well when it came to potty training and have even gone the extra mile of getting her hemp oil, even invested in her own noise machine to play music when I’m not home as a way to keep her calm.

Recently, though, I wanna say within the last year maybe she’s had random accidents here and there around the house and even more recently within the past month or two she specifically been peeing large amounts on my bed. Not sure if it’s her age? I’ve checked her healthwise and everything is fine, so I invested in stronger hemp oil thinking maybe she needed a stronger dose? I also went ahead and put goat milk with cranberries into her food as well just to see if that would help.

I’m not able to do crate training with her as when I try to do that in the very beginning of having her it just freaked her out more and caused her to intentionally make a mess inside the crate just to get out. I’m just not sure what else to do, I don’t know why this is happening or what’s causing it. My next step is unfortunately having her live in diapers cause I’m not sure what else to do.

Any advice would be great, I’m just tired of having breakdowns over this, I’m already stressed as is with getting laid off from my job recently, and just trying to take care of the financial upkeep of everything in my life right now.

Speeding ticket in fayette county

Let me know if I am posting this question in the correct sub Reddit.

Title says it all, got my first speeding ticket while driving home from the Fayetteville pavilion. Didn’t even realize I was speeding, guess I was too tired.

My question is, the cop who pulled me over was explaining everything pretty fast to the point that I didn’t fully understand him, or what was expected of me aside for my license and registration. Once he handed me the ticket, he told me that I had to go to court? He said I was going 20 over, I didn’t think that would require a court appearance? I would much rather just pay the fine and go about my day.

I was trying to read the ticket and it seems some parts of it didn’t print properly so I couldn’t fully read what a lot of it said and he didn’t tell me what my fine cost was? Essentially, I’m trying to ask if anyone possibly knows if the court appearance is mandatory in this county, I tried to ask, but again he just told me the court date, gave me the ticket and said if I needed more information that there was a phone number and website on the back of the ticket.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Recruiters/hiring managers: does a next-day follow-up read as eager or desperate?

Long story short, I’ve been applying to places like crazy, doing about 50 maybe 60 applications a day. And finally caught a few few interviews here and there, thank God cause I’m not sure how much longer I can pay for this mortgage.

Had an interview that aligned perfectly with my skills, was offering a salary range that would work perfectly for my situation, only downside is that the office is pretty far from my home, but I wouldn’t mind making that drive daily If it means I can keep a roof over my head.

I had the interview about a week ago, then was scheduled within the next few days to come in person for the second interview that following Thursday the 25th.

I even went the extra mile, and even though they did not ask, I brought mock ups and some ideas for a strategy deck as an example of a kind of work I could bring to their company. This is for a marketing position by the way. The hiring managers, one of which was the co-owner of the company, seemed genuinely impressed with my work background, and he even commented on how he liked how much of a self starter I was and how much drive I had, especially after seeing my work specifically for their company. The second hiring manager showed me around their office and made remarks about being glad to have another girl in the office, overall the commentary felt as though they really want to go with me.

I left the interview thinking for sure I’ve got it, but when I asked when I should expect to hear back, they said that they were still interviewing candidates and that I should expect to hear back by Tuesday the 30th. I just assumed that they wanted this new hire to start on July 1, and gave it the weekend. But with the time and day that it is now, I still haven’t received anything and it’s making me very nervous.

Is it in bad taste for me to send them an email tomorrow morning, or should I wait until Friday to send an email? I’m just trying to gauge when’s the best time to ask without seeming so desperate if that makes sense? Even though you would really think that everyone should know just how bad the job market is and how much everyone needs jobs right now really.

Any advice or help would be super appreciated.

Would I be seen as the perfect hire for bringing homework to my second interview?

So I’ve been applying to places for the past few months and finally have recently gotten a lead on a possible job. My background is in marketing and this position would be for a marketing manager for a pet food company. I got through the first interview, albeit a little nervous, but luckily because I had previously worked as a pet dietitian The hiring manager was very impressed with my background and scheduled a second interview.

I have that later this week and thought maybe I could wow them even further as I really would like to get this job, not just because I would be able to get free food for my dog, but it pays exactly the kind of salary I need to not just survive but actually thrive. So I did my research and homework on the brand and they sell raw dog food, at a great rate. I went ahead and started a strategy deck with a handful of possible ideas of which avenues their marketing could go in. I also went ahead and put together a mock up of what a specific social post could look like for the brand that targets the demographic they’re going for.

I have had a few brands in the past ask for examples or put together a project for their brand and that sort of thing. They didn’t ask for any of this, but I thought I would go ahead and put it together anyway to show them my enthusiasm and how much I really want to become a part of their company.

Do you guys think that me bringing all of this extra work to the table would put me at the top of the list to be hired?

Just saw the news that Modo Modo agency is partnering with yes&

So I just saw this what felt like a few minutes ago maybe? And was curious to know, when businesses in the advertising field talk about “partnering” with another company, does that usually hint at the possibility that they were bought out in someway?

I’ve seen this happen a few times in the past with other agencies and wanted to ask here as I’ve always been curious about that and would that essentially mean restructuring of the current staff when this type of partnership happens? It just makes me a little worried that some people might get laid off which would mean the job-hunting pool will get even more difficult.

I hope I’m making sense.

Are job titles changing? Cant tell what’s considered “entry-lvl” anymore

So I’m very confused, I’m someone with about three years of marketing experience and I’ve recently made the pivot to project management. I got a project management certification from Google and was lucky enough to come across a family owned business looking for a project manager so I’ve been working there for about four months now.

I’m looking to leave as they don’t have the funds to make me salary and my hours keep changing on a week to week basis which has been getting frustrating. But I’m getting even more frustrated at the fact that it feels like I’m not applying to the right roles? I was recommended from a few others who currently work as project managers that I should go for titles like junior PM, assistant PM, project coordinator, marketing PM, operations coordinator, as those would best fit my entry-level role into this field.

But it feels like as soon as I open the job listing titled as such, I see that they need people to have 4 to 5 years of experience to even apply? It’s just making all of this very confusing, and it’s difficult to figure out what I’m even allowed to apply to when I thought I was going after entry-level roles but now maybe the demographics have changed as to what that looks like nowadays? I don’t know if anyone can enlighten me on this.

For those who lived through the 2008 recession or have a better grasp of economic cycles, when did job availability actually start to open back up and is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

I'll be honest, I'm not great with economics or history, but I can feel something is WAY off. The job market feels brutal right now, fewer postings, longer silences after applications, more competition for less. It really seems like we might be heading into (or already in) a recession, and I genuinely don't know what that means for people like me who are actively searching.

For those who've been through this before or understand how these cycles work, how long did it typically take before hiring picked back up after things started sliding? Was there a turning point you noticed? A specific signal that things were shifting?

Just would love some honest perspective from people who have a better sense of how this tends to go. What should I realistically expect, and is there anything productive to be doing in the meantime while the market corrects itself?
