is this a big concern going to DO schools?

Im talking not being able to pass the COMSAE threashold and not being allowed to take comlex.
Are there a lot of USDOs who are not eligible by their schools to take comlex? is this a big problem?

are there any 2.0 FTE jobs for new grads?

For young people who graduated residency and want to make a large sum quickly, is it possible to do 2.0 working a regular job (NOT locum)?
Im thinking like a nocturnist taking extra shifts

are all DO schools like this?

Do they all require that you pass the COMSAE before you take COMLEX? What percent of students usually pass COMSAE on their first attempt in your school?

Renting for international students?

Hey Im a Canadian hoping to come to Billings in a few months. I was looking around at some sites and it seems like I need some sort of U.S. issued ID and a social security number in order to proceed with the online application form. Obviously I have neither. I was wondering if anyone has any experience going through this.
Am I cooked? will I ever be able to find rent?

EDIT: also i gotta say rent in here is not as cheap as I thought it would be smh

How often do EM docs deal with patients with life threatening injuries?

Im talking about patients who suffered life threatening injuries like fell from a building or shot or stabbed. Are these type of cases something that are sought after and seen as exciting or do EM docs usually dread when these types of patients come in?

so I’ve been going to a group session gym for about 2 weeks now. Ngl at first it was really good and I learned a lot but I realized it’s mainly because I got lucky with my padding partners. Then I got mediocre partners and it’s getting annoying ngl. Each session is an hour. the first 20mins we do conditioning, the next 20 mins we do pad work (which can be hit or miss depending on the partner), then the last 20mins I gotta hold the pads. So all in all I get 20mins of Muay Thai training (aka pad work) and depending on the partner it may or may not be a good session.

now what I plan to do instead is do just 1 hr session every week. during this time I meet up with the coach and for one straight hour he criticizes and improves my form and do solid pad work, and for the rest of the week I practice what he taught me till the next session.

both options would cost about the same, but I feel like i would learn more and learn properly with the later than the former. What do u guys think? I can’t choose both

One thing that I really like about the D.O. degree is how uniquely American it is. Anyone from any country can get an M.D. but if a physician is a D.O. then I know for a fact that they are American and I think thats cool.

imo i think you can still learn a lot. it would help with your foot movement, throwing kicks and punches at certain body parts.
do you guys think its as good as not even sparing?
