Car (147k miles) started rattling like crazy with weakened acceleration.

Got these 3 codes.

Less than a year ago I had the EGR Cooler replaced, EGR valve cleaned out, PCV valve replaced, and spark plugs replaced.

Car has this funny smell when it’s rattling too. Hard to describe but almost smells like smoke after a firework goes off.

I’m afraid it could be a blown head gasket even though I’ve kept up with the maintenance.

Other thought is maybe bad coil? I might try to swap them around this weekend to see if the codes follow.

And there’s no one in the Jacksonville, FL area that will straight up drop an engine in it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I’m looking to visit Yellowstone and Grand Tetons in August before I retire from the military.

Likely flying into Bozeman August 17 and leaving the 22nd.

Wondering what the best way to split up my stays. Was thinking a couple days in Gardner, couple in West Yellowstone, and maybe one in Jackson.

If anyone has any suggestions I’d be super grateful. Trying to keep it somewhat budget friendly but also not opposed to adding another day if need be.

Should be filing my BDD here in the next week. Going to be including all of my medical records including those from out in town.

This might be a dumb question, but does the VA consider those out in town diagnoses?

If a provider, whom I got a referral to, wrote a letter explaining my condition/diagnosis, that should be considered and reviewed by the VA right?

I’m sure they will still order the mental health C&P, but I’m afraid the C&P is going to hold more weight than a MH provider I’ve been seeing for over a year.
