Game in closed playtest - When to contact content creators ?

Hello

my game is in closed playtest with not a lot of testers, but that's not the point here :)

I'm planning to contact some content creators on YT/Twitch and I'm wondering when is the best moment to do so : now while in playtest ? Or later, once the game is out.

I expect the game to be out next month (around 15th of November) if it matters...

1st (shared) version of my capsule. Does it work ?

Hello there,

While waiting for my steam page to be available, I'm working on the assets needed.

Here's the small capsule, which I think is the more challenging one.

Any feedback on the composition? Do you get what game type it is ?

Thanks :)

EDIT : reddit shows the image very big, reminder : it'll be displayed in very small :)

Polish is the real deal, right ?

Hi there,

while creating my game, I now understand that the most of work comes from the polishing of the game.

I mean, I have a technically working game which is already visually clean, but lack of details to make it really shine. So I've started working on it. But, damn, this is so time consuming to add a bit of particles here, a bit of movement there, etc.

I thought I was few days away to deliver something. I was so wrong :D

Do you feel the same ?

Selling your creations ? Need advices

Hello all,

a bit of history : I went into perler beads few years ago now. Starting with small projects (pokemon, Mario, etc) into bigger frames (with more or less success to the ironing - RIP my 30k beads frame).

I tried to sell things on Etsy with few results, and some items removed for licence issues.

This makes me stop creating, frames started to take a lot of space..

Now, I just discovered a shop near me (in France) where you can rent a space for 80€ per month (+ a percentage to give to the store).

What do you think of this ?

I'm hesitant because you first need to make sure to sell more than the rent each month. And as it's in a "real" store (meaning, not online), you cannot mess with licences at all.
To be able to not lose money (and eventually win some), the prices will have to be way higher than what I did in the past.. to pay for the material, the rent, the store's fee, not even thinking of monetizing the time...

Thanks for your help :)

Core One L in stock - Should I click ?

Hey there,

I've been eyeing the Core One L for a while now. I wanted to wait for the INDX release before putting my MK4S + MMU3 aside, but there’s still this itch.

And, like a sign, I was watching a video about the printer yesterday and, just seconds later, I got a notification that it’s back in stock…

Should I click that order button??? Show me your best big prints to help me decide :)

First time designing a circuit for an ESP32 project, would love some feedback on my schematic - Homemade tamagotchi

Hello

I'm trying to create a home made tamagotchi. To do so, I need to minify the electronics, so I decided to create my first ever pcb. Could you please review my diagram if everything's ok ?

EDIT : new version

https://preview.redd.it/0oi6h6bhy51h1.png?width=1247&format=png&auto=webp&s=b075e26add90544f769b97bdb4cf5700f2bfc449

The idea is to use a esp32-c3 connected to 3 tactile switches. The whole thing powered by a 500mAh li-po. My main concern is on the charging module and the tension regulator..

Thanks in advance for you help 😄

My 1st ever schematic

Hello

could you please review my first ever diagram ?

Objective : home made tamagotchi

3 tactile switches for the input, 1 screen 0.96 inch IIC Serial 4pin for the output
USB-C to flash the esp32 and to charge the battery (500mAh Li-po)

My main concerns are the capacitors and resistors as I'm not sure what they're used for 😄

Thanks for you help.
