So this place has a little bit of story (not about the place, about what gave me the idea to do this specific place). So I was like 4 or 5 years old, and I had a nightmare, I was in my grandfathers house, then I had to leave and used the elevator, but the elevator turned into a door or something, I went thru the door and fell of a big height, and I was in this kind of room, an infinite room with red carpets, columns, a couple of lights and a creepy woman in a black dress (I didn't 3D modeled it because I was lazy).

The texture of the columns looks strange because I literally picked up a photo and tried to unwrap it, it isn't AI.

I'm a 10th grade student in Spain learning different programming languages because I want to create games in the future. Right now, I'm learning C++, and I have to say that it's very good. The only thing is that I don't really understand pointers or dynamic memory yet.

I'm currently learning with SoloLearn, but it has a system with 5 lives, and if I lose all of them, I have to wait 5 hours for each heart to refill. Because of that, I'm now using StudyPlan.dev. It's very good, but I wanted to start from the beginning just to see if they teach me something that the other app didn't show me.

Sorry for the long introduction. I just wanted to say that I have a plan that might be a little ambitious for me: coding a simple game engine (by simple, I mean spawning a 3D model with animations, adding some lights, a camera, and simple first-person movement) using the libraries Raylib, SoLoud, and Jolt.

I'm planning to do this right after I complete the C++ courses on StudyPlan.dev. Do you think it's worth it just for learning and gaining experience?

I bought the Half-Life Complete Bundle in 2024, just played a couple hours, didn't finish any of the games at all. Now, 2026, I've beaten Half-Life, HL: Blue Shift, HL: Opposing Force, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and I've just started HL2: Episode 2 in less than a week. Planning to beat Half-Life: Alyx (I'm already at half of the game), Black Mesa and maybe Half-Life 2 VR Mod.

I just wanted to say that I love this franchise, and I will probably hate it when I finish all of them because there's no Half-Life 3. Hope they announce it with the Steam Machine, it would be awesome...

I'm living the best childhood anyone can have (or so I think)

I use the VRMod x64: Ultimate Edition, when I play in VR for some reason some faces of some models disappear and appear, this only happens on the Headset view, if I look to the monitor it doesn't happen.

So this is what happens, sometimes when I play Gmod in VR some things start to disappear and appear really fast, are like artifacts, but not because of the connection, I think it's because of smoke particles, has someone a solution for this?

One more question, how do I go into a car in Gmod VR? I tried every button...
