Met this lil guy 2 nights in a row

Our shi tzu was excited to meet him too. He let me get pretty close, but I wasn’t going to touch it

I hydroplaned today

I hydroplaned for the first time ever. It was kinda terrifying. Fortunately no cars were close and I was able to pull over safely.

While using FSD, I felt the rear starting to fishtail. I instinctively applied the brake, gradually. This disabled FSD. As soon as it was disengaged, the car started going out of control.

What should I have done differently?

Edit: thanks for all the responses everyone. I checked my tires and they were about 3/32 inches of tread remaining. Getting new tires installed as I write this.

Do they just write off $800?

I have a monthly CPAP bill of $7.38; not bad.
I happened to look at my explanation of benefits. Where did $874.72 come from?? WTF! Do they just make this up? Insurance only pays $41.81.

Do they write off the rest? Am I screwed 18x more if I didn’t have insurance? Make it make sense 🙏

My first luxury purchase!

I recently came into some money, and decided to purchase a Rolex as my first luxury. And just in time for my wedding!

Battery makers of Reddit; is there any difference in alkaline batteries on market?

Are there any substantial difference between Rayovac/energizer/Duracell etc? Or are they all pretty much the same?

Specifically, looking at alkaline batteries in the AAA to D cell range.

I know all alkaline cells with the same chemistry will produce the same voltage. I would imagine they would last about the same amount of time depending on manufacturer tolerances. Are there any substantial differences between them?

My sisters school keeps calling me about her student loans

I am getting calls almost daily from my sister’s college from the student loan office? I’ve ignored them so far. What could the legitimately be calling about?

My sister is married and lives in a different state. I don’t have anything to do with her finances. When I asked her, she said she’ll “take care of it”.
I assume she’s behind on payments, and the loan office thinks I can help on some way. But I don’t want to ask her about her business that shouldn’t concern me.

What should I do?
