Black Tie Wedding Options

Going to my first black tie wedding event. All I really know about black tie attire is that it should be floor length and not have a slit (found that out after ordering some dresses unfortunately and is the reason for this post…).

Attaching screen shots of everything I’ve either ordered already, or am considering. Are all of these black tie appropriate? Assuming the ones with the slit would not be given the other guidance I’ve been given, but given their formality I guess I’m just curious if the “no-slit” is still standard for black tie? This is probably going to be the nicest wedding I ever attend.. Wedding is in October.

8 Days Post Op & Anxious I’m not “Unfrozen”

I had frozen shoulder surgery 8 days ago and it went really well. My doctor said that he was able to get 100% ROM while I was under.

I have been absolutely religious with doing at home physical therapy 4x a day ~10 minutes per session starting at 2am the morning after surgery (less than 24h post-op). My MIL is a retired Orthopedic NP and told me to try to get my PT to 100% ASAP, so I’ve been trying. Important to note - the earliest actual PT appointment I was able to find is this Monday (10-days post op) so that is in the calendar already.

My anxiety - some things I can do with absolutely no issue. However, some things I cannot do because I still have the “frozen” pain when I try to move certain ways.

I also want to just throw out there that I have remotely 0 surgery pain - honestly I took pain meds for maybe 1 day before cutting it off cold turkey because I really wasn’t in any pain. I have a rather high pain tolerance apparently. The pain I have is not surgery pain - it’s that same frozen feeling.

Anyone else that has had the surgery - is this typical? Or is it possible I’ve re-froze in certain spots? How long after surgery did you get full ROM back and/or feel 100% better?

Medical Alert Jewelry?

T1D for 30 years - recently had a child and feel like now is more important than ever to consider getting a medical alert bracelet in the case something happens in the car or any other type of emergency. With age, I feel lows harder, longer, and takes way longer to recover from..

Might be counterintuitive, but I really don’t want your typical glaring medical alert bracelet.. I find them very much an eye sore. Anyone know of any companies that sell cute dainty ones (maybe customizable) that can mix in with everyday jewelry, but still show as a medical alert?

I’ve also considered a tattoo, but I’m more private and don’t like to advertise my health issues so permanently. Plus, I’m holding out with hope that the Islet Act passes, which then who knows, the tattoo could become moot - one can dream!

Thanks!

[astro-seek.com] interpretation help

I enjoy astrology, but have a very difficult time painting a whole picture with the analysis. Can anyone help me interpret? Is it typical for a chart to look like this?

I feel like I have a hard time being my true self to people. I can be my true self to my husband, but I feel like I can’t be to others (sometimes family, in-laws, etc.). I have a lot of opinions and feelings about things, but just about never speak them to keep peace. Tend to absorb energy and suppress emotions.

Lots of Questions…Surgery Scheduled for Friday

I developed a frozen shoulder about a year ago and did physical therapy 2x a week for 3 months consistently - once insurance ran out, I continued doing PT at home but eventually I’d say after ~6 months I stopped doing PT at home out of frustration it wasn’t improving and was so painful.

At my last 9month appointment, my doctor told me my shoulder has improved 0% despite everything and highly recommended surgery (I’m 32 - this is from postpartum and type 1 diabetic combo…). Doctor said he didn’t want to see someone my age keep suffering with this especially when I have a kid.

I am nervous about surgery. But also it seems like most people’s correct after 1 year. I’m not exactly sure when mine all started but I think it was September 2025. My surgery is scheduled for this Friday…. Is this premature? Should I keep waiting to see if it will start to thaw on its own? Will it thaw on its own if I’m not doing any PT?

Has anyone in here had the surgery? Is recovery really tough? I’m supposed to go to a birthday party the day after surgery because honestly idk what to expect. Imagining if I was up and walking a day after a c-section I should be ok the day after shoulder surgery? I worry about taking care of my kid and how I’m going to maneuver everything with one arm and not a lot of muscle strength…

Need advice and info… Help….. 🥲

Nighttime lows

I’ve recently started having very very stubborn middle of the night lows - talking like 40s range. I’ve never had an issue with my nighttime basal until recent I guess? I suppose I need to lower it and plan to contact my endo in the morning, but I have 0 clue what’s causing this change. Some nights I’ve even stopped bolusing for dinner to avoid a middle of the night low, but still seem to go low. I use an Omnipod 5 in auto mode and I’m confused.

Usually I have Gatorade next to my bedside for lows, but Gatorade is no longer bringing it up on its own (I find this crazy???). This has resulted in me having some sort of granola bar or quick snack in the middle of the night. Only issue is that eating in the middle of the night for me results in a horrendous stomach ache that keeps me up most of the night (hence my rant right now).

Anyone else experience something like this..? I’m finding it very bizarre. I’m assuming if Gatorade won’t bring my sugar up, juice or other liquids wouldn’t either.
