I totally agree. There's something seriously wrong with our humanities education. I've seen it personally in quite a few places. Humanities people don't follow logical consistency - they'll keep shifting goalposts, use sentiments rather than facts, justify corruption in the name of defending some higher virtue etc.
But the humanities people in developed countries are not like this - at least not to this extent. They at least try to be logical and admit to facts.
This may seem generalized but this is my experience. Let's take an example of a highway construction through a forest that may need to be implemented by cutting a few trees but will reduce the current transportation by 200 KMs. How do you do a cost benefit analysis here ? Obviously we should demand planting more trees elsewhere but should also consider how much pollution is reduced due to shorter distances of transport, less fuel usage, future needs to avoid traffic jams etc.
But the humanities people start doing ad hominem attacks like saying the project is benefitting only corporates and billionaires, how a few villages will lose their land etc. Of course we need land to do anything and the question should be about adequate compensation and not oppose everything straightaway because it will require land acquisition.
I've also rarely seen humanities people running successful businesses. Is this just about humanities education in India?
India's defence exports are soaring, with deals for BrahMos missiles with Vietnam and Indonesia signaling a significant shift. This surge, driven by policy and product improvements, sees Indian arms reaching over 80 countries. Operation Sindoor has bolstered battlefield credibility, making Indian weapon systems attractive globally. While a formal doctrine is emerging, India is building its infrastructure for long-term global arms supply.
India's exports are surging every month
"Jiangzhehu" is Chinese colloquial name for the region of Yangtze delta comprising Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai municipalities. It is the most wealthy and advanced urban clusters of China with high living standards. The recent rains and floods have wrecked havoc in Jiangzhehu.
The security game changed after Amit Shah’s rise! Stronger borders, tougher action against terrorism, infiltration and illegal networks reshaped India’s defense strategy. Why did this create so much political opposition?
More data with charts - very clear distinction between UPA & NDA. And some people want to go back to the 2014 period of Fragile 5, Policy paralysis, Jayanthi Tax, 2G, coal, commonwealth scams etc.
Anyone wishing for a government job in 2026 is either an incompetent person or wana be a corrupt babu who likes corruption and black money.
Most high paying jobs are in the private sector. You have PF like social security schemes in the pvt sector too. Besides, you earn more and you can invest the extra money for pension etc.
The government is there to provide services to the people - not jobs.
Come out of the sick socialist era mindset. The work culture in the government jobs are super horrible too.
Most state governments are in a horrible financial situation due to most of the money going to salaries and pensions. They have very less money to spend on capex - like infrastructure development.
Data speaks for themselves. But sub 50 IQs in reddit will come up with all the excuses to defend the UPA and wanting to go back to those hell days. Mudi must rejign..

Delimitation is always going to be against someone if you don't keep on updating it often and leave it like 50 years.
Even in the 1971 census, TN got a far better deal than many other states. For example, TN and Madhya Pradesh had similar population in 1971 but TN ended up with 40 seats and MP only had 28. Bihar had 15 crore more people than TN but both got 40 MP seats etc.
Those people didn't complain that time. Besides, population is not the only criteria this time around. There's going to be a 50% increase across all the states. So, this fear mongering is just the plain old separatist tactics from the DMK like agents.
The importance of good policies, a scam-free government, political stability and a vision at the highest levels. India was called "The Fragile 5" country in 2013 and everywhere the term "Policy paralysis" was used. Files used to get stuck at the ministries and nothing got moved. Environment ministry used to have a term called "Jayanthi tax" based on the minister's name to indicate corruption.
The ignorant GenZ and reels generation can do all the protests - the country is not going back to pre-2014 levels. We have enough people who remember those "golden days" of UPA.
GenZ think that this government is bad and UPA was good ? Analyze the data yourself from 2004-2024 and find out yourself. Me and a bunch of my colleagues had to move abroad after 12% inflation on basic food items like rice and dal. Every month the prices used to increase and there was no COVID or wars in 2012. Not to speak about all the scams those days from the government ministries.
Expand the pics to see the full data. These are data from international organisations like world bank, transparency international etc. Genz reels generation should do their own research on how India was before 2014 before hating the current PM and the government.
