Global Crisis is Coming: Be Prepared!!

Let's start with basics to bust this myth:

Crude was cheaper earlier & costly now.

1 barrel oil = ~159 litres

1 gallon oil = 3.78 litres

Price of per barrel crude as on 1 May, 2014: $103.40

Price as on 1 May, 2026: $101.56

Source: https://www.macrotrends.net/1369/crude-oil-price-history-chart

$ to ₹ exchange rate on: 16 May 2014 $1 USD = ₹58.76

14 May 2026 $1 USD = ₹95.71

Source:

https://www.exchangerates.org.uk/USD-INR-spot-exchange-rates-history-2014.html

Multiply the above two to get per barrel cost in Indian Rupee: In May 2014 - ₹6075

In May 2026 - ₹9720

% increase in price in international crude from 2014 to 2026: 62%

Price of petrol in say, Mumbai as in: 2014 - ~₹72

May 2026 - ~₹107 Increase in percentage terms: 67%

Source: https://cardgrid.in/blog/petrol-price-india-chart/

As you can make out yourself crude price has remained constant in line with the global prices & rupee-dollar exchange rates throughout. And no extra burden has been put on the people. Instead the crude is cheaper as the above prices are on paper while the spot prices are different. So current prices are still at a discount, albeit very little.

Second thing to understand is despite not increasing the prices, the government has managed to pay the exorbitant legacy oil bonds of UPA era to the tune of 3.23 lakh crores (paid just last March of 2026), managing huge infrastructure spending, construction of roads, highways, expressways at record speed & yet managing fiscal discipline.

======================================

While much of the recent outrage has been around 'austerity' measures by government, the entire focus has been cleverly shifted from the actual problem - to prevent outward flow of currency.

When PM asked not to spend on products that result in currency exchange like gold & petrol, the narrative was quickly shifted to - why not the PM & ministers reduce their security cavalcade. When they did so immediately, the narrative has been shifted to - it's just a photo-op.

Irrespective of what is done, people have a resolve not to understand gravity of the situation & never accept change. Even when the situation is dire, global, & not in our hands. At times of crisis, we have a habit of bickering, blame everyone & never united to fight the crisis.

We saw it during COVID people disobeying all advisories, making fun of every initiative. We saw how Indians were mocking our armed forces during Operation Sindoor recently giving ample ammunition to our useless neighbour which he still uses against us/quoting our people on Rafales. And earlier too some political parties & experts went several steps ahead demanding "proofs" for carrying out surgical strikes. We have seen it time & again, that when needed to stand up unitedly, we dilute the seriousness & instead use that opportunity to settle petty scores or show intellectualism.

This crisis that's going to come was being warned since many years on our telegram channel as well as here - it will be the biggest humankind has seen since World War 2.

The US debt has crossed its GDP for the first time since???

Check check. Find out.

The dot com bust & 2008 recession would be kindergarten stuff in front of it. There's a reason US President is in China & Russia is dialing India.

PM himself spoke at least 4-5 times of preparing for a COVID like situation, spend cautiously, save fuel, be ready for WFH, etc. but we didn't pay attention. From election speeches to his Mann Ki Baat program, he repeated it several times. But no one paid attention.

People love masala news run by media which doesn't focus on important topics. Everyone knows which team scored how many runs in IPL last night, which batsman scored how many sixes, personal records of players on fingertips, but matters pertaining to daily life, at least during a crisis? Clueless. And when push comes to shove, blame everyone around for not doing enough.

Saying it again, and PM himself has given a timeline of 1 year, this crisis will not be limited to just disruptions caused by Iran conflict. It will continue in on-off mode. That is just 1 minor spoke of the wheel.

Window to settle useless neighbour will also fall during this period so will crisis in West due to dedollarization. Readers of our channel and this sub know what's going to happen.

Stay calm, don't fall for online propaganda, don't panic buy & create shortages in market. Be a part of the solution instead becoming a problem. Stay united.

EarAcoustic STA HI-END Review: Excellent Bass and Imaging

TLDR;

After 10 days of use, I feel I made a great upgrade from the 7Hz Elua Ultra. The main differences are that the Elua has laid-back vocals and sub-bass rumbling, while the STA Hi-End surpasses those limitations with good imaging, zero distortion at high volumes, and bass in these stays present and hits quickly. An easy term to describe the feel is cinematic bass. And it get loud very fast recommend use Low gain with high volume or High gain with Low volume. Prefer your your choice.

Here is the detail review with help of claude to differentiate the same batch of IEM just at "ONE POINT"

EarAcoustics STA Hi End vs STA Pro — FR Analysis (Same Brand Sibling Shootout Series Report)

Measurements: aftersound.squig.link | IEC 60318 4 clone coupler | AVG measurements | Same rig | Direct comparison valid.

The Verdict: No Clear Overall Winner

  • STA Hi End: The best pick for most listeners.
  • STA Pro: The pick for the specialist.

This is the first genuinely split verdict of the series, as neither IEM is technically superior across all dimensions. The STA Hi End wins on bass warmth, presence smoothness, fatigue resistance, and broad versatility. The STA Pro wins on upper treble extension, analytical treble character, and the specific needs of acoustic music listeners.

The critical swing factor is the STA Pro’s 8 kHz peak — the tallest on this graph at approximately 71 dB, roughly 4 to 5 dB higher than the STA Hi End in the same region. This peak adds extraordinary sparkle and air but is the single greatest fatigue risk. If you are treble sensitive, the STA Hi End is the safer pick. If you welcome bright treble and listen critically, the STA Pro is genuinely rewarding.

Which one is for you?

✓ Choose STA Hi End when… (More Body, More Impact)

  • You listen to music with a strong rhythm section (rock, pop, electronic, jazz with upright bass).
  • You watch films and need cinematic low end weight and LFE impact.
  • You prefer a warmer, fuller tonal character overall.
  • You are treble sensitive (the STA Pro's 8 kHz spike is a real fatigue risk).
  • You game and want physical bass for explosions and environmental texture.
  • You plan on sessions longer than 90 minutes.

✓ Choose STA Pro when… (More Air, More Precision)

  • You listen to classical, acoustic, or orchestral music and want maximum upper harmonic resolution.
  • You are an analytical listener who wants micro detail and fine texture.
  • You prefer a leaner, studio monitor character in the bass.
  • You are not treble sensitive, or you plan to use EQ to tame the 8 kHz spike.
  • Your music lacks deep sub bass (solo piano, spoken word).

Frequency Band Breakdown

Region STA Hi End (Red) STA Pro (Purple)
Sub bass (20 to 60 Hz) ✓ FULLER. Opens at ~69 to 70 dB. Warmer and richer. Film LFE and kick drums carry real physicality. Opens at ~67 to 68 dB. Meaningfully leaner (~2 dB below Hi End). Analytical and clean but lacks physical weight.
Mid bass (60 to 200 Hz) ✓ ADVANTAGE. Remains fuller through 80 to 150 Hz. Bass weight without bloat. Sits 2 to 3 dB below Hi End. Keeps the lower midrange uncluttered but loses rhythmic weight on most music.
Lower midrange (200 to 600 Hz) Near tie. Reaches ~57 to 58 dB at the trough. Slightly more warmth for vocals and acoustics. Near tie in absolute depth, but less colored by bass bleed due to the leaner bass shelf below.
Upper midrange (600 Hz to 1.5 kHz) Tracks near identically to the Pro. Tracks near identically to the Hi End.
Presence (1.5 to 5 kHz) Complex W shaped presence. Energetic and forward, but can occasionally sound slightly ringy. ✓ SMOOTHER. Single, broader peak around 2.5 to 3 kHz. Cleaner presence structure; more natural through the vocal band.
Mid treble (5 to 9 kHz) ✓ SAFER. Broad, well controlled peak at 8 kHz (~65 to 66 dB). Cymbals have presence without sharpness. ⚠ CRITICAL CONCERN. Massive 8 kHz peak (~70 to 71 dB). Substantial brightness boost. Extremely airy, but sibilant and harsh for some.
Upper treble (9 to 15 kHz) Rolls off significantly, dropping to ~52 to 53 dB by 13 to 14 kHz. ✓ BETTER EXTENSION. Maintains 2 to 4 dB more output than the Hi End. Preserves violin harmonics and room ambience faithfully.
Air / roll off (15 to 20 kHz) Steeper drop off. ✓ HOLDS LONGER. Maintains output marginally better through 15 to 16 kHz before deep roll off.

Four Critical Differences

  1. Bass Warmth (Hi End Advantage): The ~2 dB bass shelf advantage across 20 to 150 Hz creates a fundamentally warmer, more musical character that suits most genres.
  2. Presence Smoothness (Pro Advantage): The STA Pro’s single, broader presence peak through 2 to 3 kHz is technically cleaner than the Hi End’s dual peak W shape, rendering vocals more naturally.
  3. Upper Treble Extension (Pro Advantage): Holding 2 to 4 dB more output through 10 to 15 kHz, the STA Pro genuinely extends further into the air region. Meaningful for classical and acoustic listeners.
  4. The 8 kHz Risk (Hi End Advantage): The Pro’s ~71 dB peak at 8 kHz is the dominant story here. At 4 to 5 dB above the Hi End, it is a genuine fatigue risk. The Hi End is substantially safer for flat listening.

Attribute Scores (Out of 10)

Attribute Earacoustics STA Hi End Earacoustics STA Pro
Bass Warmth 7.5 5.5
Bass Control 7.5 8.0
Presence Smoothness 6.5 8.0
Mid Treble Control 8.0 4.0
Upper Extension 7.0 8.5
Fatigue Resistance 8.0 4.5
Versatility 8.0 5.5
Film / Cinema 8.0 6.0

Situation Matrix: Which to Choose?

Situation Winner Notes
Rock / Metal / Pop STA Hi End Bass warmth gives rhythm punch. Smoother 8 kHz avoids harsh electric guitars.
Classical / Orchestral STA Pro Best upper treble extension preserves strings and hall reverb.
Jazz (Acoustic) STA Hi End Natural upright bass body. Pro makes ride cymbals too prominent without EQ.
Electronic / EDM / Hip Hop STA Hi End Richer bass shelf delivers sub bass physicality. Pro is too lean.
Film / Action Cinema STA Hi End Cinematic LFE weight. Avoids dialogue sibilance on long watch times.
Documentary / Dialogue STA Pro Smoother presence peak renders dialogue naturally (if 8 kHz is tolerated).
Solo Piano / Chamber STA Pro Better upper extension captures piano overtones and instrument dynamic range.
Long sessions (3h+) STA Hi End Significantly more comfortable. Pro accumulates fatigue rapidly.
With EQ / DSP STA Pro Transforms entirely. Pull the 8 kHz peak down 3 to 4 dB and you get a top tier resolving IEM.
Treble Sensitive STA Hi End The only safe option. The Pro's 8 kHz peak will cause discomfort.

Final Insight

The EQ Question: This comparison highlights a growing truth in IEM evaluation: an IEM's value is heavily conditional on whether the listener uses EQ. The STA Pro, with its extraordinary upper treble extension and smooth presence region, would be near ideal if its 8 kHz peak were reduced by 3 to 4 dB. EQ corrected, it combines the best elements of both IEMs. Without EQ, the Pro is a specialist tool strictly for treble tolerant listeners.

Series Context: Both STA models sit in a different tier from neutral benchmarks. They are more complex, uneven, and characterful. Earacoustics tunes for a specific listener archetype (present, detailed, treble forward). Within that philosophy, the STA Hi End is the accessible and versatile execution; the STA Pro is the ambitious and polarizing one.
