Is this a common growth form for a crested unicorn cactus?
My crested Eulychnia castanea cv. varispiralis appears to have a different growth forms on either side, is that so? Do they usually do that?

Here’s a cactus you don’t really see everyday!
I’m really in love with the spiral growing pattern on my Parodia werdermanniana f. monstruosa ‘spiralis’, previously Notocactus.
As a bonus I got plenty of pups to experiment grafting on Pereskiopsis gigantea since they are pretty slow growers, soon will have an army!
What are your thoughts on grafted cacti?
Decarya madagascariensis - I’m a sucker for succulent plants from Madagascar and been trying to get my hands on this beauty for a while, even prettier in person!
Aloidendron barberae - I’ve been eying a very mature specimen at the nursery I work at, but for a 2000 euros price tag it was too scary for me, finally managed to find a young one!
Lophocereus schottii f. monstrosus - I’m a sucker for sculptural and monstrouse cacti this is the perfect combination of both.
Stenocereus beneckei - Unfortunately my cactus dealer has removed most of the farina while watering (crime against plants) I hope it grows a thick waxy farina from now on!
Rebutia krainziana cv. inermis, newest member of the collection, just grafted the side shoot, wish me luck!
Acho que seria um desperdício de um bom Oled mudar tudo, por um ecrã original pedem mais do que eu paguei pelo telemóvel.
Prunus domestica, these Plums are so beautiful that I dont really want to touch them!
The plant is bursting at the seams from being exposed to too much rain, these flowers tho, have been going for a week one of the longest I’ve had!
Pachycereus pringlei, really enjoying how dense the spines are in this bad boy are, I really want to plant it on the ground to accelerate it’s growth but I’m afraid that the Portuguese winter will be too wet, I’m thinking it will have to wait until I can plant it in a greenhouse.
I’m guessing it’s over ten years old already, what do you thing?
Euphorbia spectabilis is one of the coolest plants I’ve seen, the colors of the leaves and spines really vibrant. I can’t wait for it to flower!
See what I did there?
I’m really enjoying watching these slowly grow, the pups are so adorable and the bases are getting chonky! What’s not to love about them?
Tephrocactus articulatus var. calvus
Tephrocactus articulatus var. papyracanthus
Tephrocactus articulatus var. inermis
Tephrocactus geometricus
With the current heatwave I really needed to light up my cactus setup at night so I could keep repotting and admiring the collection!
I can’t believe how well the fully variegated rosette is doing despite having no green whatsoever!
Some of my favorite blooms so far from pretty inconspicuous cacti!
Both have many pups, should I let them cluster or separate some?
The second one is Eriosyce crispa and I’m unsure of the first ones ID.
Did I have some of the species already? Yes.
Do I have space for more plants? Not really.
Do I need more cactus? Not really.
Am I still getting more? Absolutely.
