Rattlesnake Calathea sport ( sorry the first post was missing pics)

I have only just heard this term sport in the context of plants a few days ago. I love my plants, I buy too many, and the past 5 years of my life have been learning about what I have and what I can and can't grow where I am. I had thought I had done something wrong with my rattlesnake. My first thought when I saw the leaf spike was damn maybe I over watered, but as the days went on no other leaf was effected and this leaf kept growing normally. The colour is not normal though. So here I have a fairly happy plant with an odd but beautiful leaf. I cant figure out if something is wrong or if I simply hit a brief random plant lotto. This plant has been trough a lot with me and while I have read this plant can be dramatic it has survived a lot and never had any problems. Any info related to this leaf will be very much appreciated.

Help me😭

My plants are outside on a balcony. I started noticing some weird identions on my anthurium leaf that were no discolored and chalked it up to overwatering even though the plants are living in nearly 100 degree weather.
Then I noticed this weird brown line on the back of one leaf. Looked at my gloriosum and suddenly it had one too but this time, I see pests. What are they?? My plants get insecticidal granuals and SNS 209. I also periodically use insecticidal soap as a preventative!

What is wrong with my monstera albo? Please read full details.

I’ve had this Monstera albo since August 2025 and it’s been healthy until recently.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed new brown lesions with yellow halos appearing on multiple leaves. I opted to observe at first as the plant area is regularly maintained with systemic and I have not introduced a new plant to the collection. Existing spots are also enlarging, and it seems like additional existing leaves are developing new spots over time.

Initially I thought it was thrips because I’ve dealt with thrips before and the damage looked suspicious. However:

•	I’ve inspected the plant multiple times with a flashlight.

•	Checked the tops, undersides, petioles, and stem.

•	I cannot find a single adult thrip, larva, or black frass.

•	The Monstera growing right beside it just unfurled a completely healthy new leaf with no damage.

•	No other nearby plants are showing similar symptoms. In fact the other 2 other monsteras beside it are not exhibiting anything at all.

•	I treated my collection with systemic about a month ago as part of routine prevention.

• I water my plants once a week and the foliage doesn't get wet. The roots and stem look healthy.

The lesions are mostly round brown spots with distinct yellow halos. They are flat (not raised), and rubbing the underside does not produce orange/rust-colored powder.

I’m trying to determine whether this looks more like:

•	Thrips with an extremely low population,

•	Rust fungus,

•	Another fungal/bacterial leaf spot,

•	Or something else entirely.

I’d really appreciate any thoughts from people who’ve seen this before, as I’d like to identify the cause before deciding on treatment. My plants are regularly maintained and I follow a strict I isolation process when bringing in a new plant (which I have not in that area for a while).

Please be kind, my first time posting here.

Thank you!

Sold as Midnight Jasmine Seeds

I bought seeds off the internet… yes I know better, but I absolutely love the challenge of growing my own plants. Have you ever see red Jasmine blooms? Whe the pods first appeared I thought it was off. Never opened all the way, but we are in the middle of a huge heat wave in northern Italy, Veneto region. Soooo … what is your verdict? What is this plant?

Endangered pale larkspur in bloom in Washington

It’s listed as an endangered species in Washington due to major habitat loss. This video was taken on organic farmland in Lewis County that’s also home to other state and federally rare species, including thin-leaved peavine.

Tropical plant nurseries?

My partner, friend and I are planning a lil trip out tomorrow for a potential big garden/houseplant spend - our original destination was Urban Jungle in Norfolk, but friend has decided to delay that particular pilgrimage until a bit later in the year. Another option we might have is Hampshire Carnivorous plants, although they're a bit specialist for what he's after and we have a date picked for that in September.

Does anybody have any recommendations on tropical plant/rare plant nurseries/garden centres worth a visit this weekend? The weirder the better, friend is into cannas, bananas, bamboo, trachycarpus, amorphophallus etc, my partner and I love a rare houseplant (annoyingly Urban Jungle ticks those boxes for all of us)

We're after something within 2 hours drive from Central Bedfordshire preferably!

Which Moringa seeds to choose

Hi everyone! I was just planning to grow moringa in my garden, and I was wondering where to find the seeds. Preferably they should be cheap and from amazon since I have amazon prime and do not want to spend an extra $30 dollars on shipping on etsy lmao. If possible, can anyone link some good PKM1 and dwarf seeds for Moringa as well? Thanks alot!
