Is there a time limit to remove someone as a dependent even if you end up owing?
Just caught a mistake on taxes from 2022.
Did taxes at H&R Block. Lived with fiance (at the time) starting in February through the whole year. But the h&r lady at the time said it was fine because it was close enough.
Just learned that it would’ve had to have been from Jan 1 to qualify as a dependent.
Made below poverty level and ended up canceling out. So nothing owed, nothing returned.
Is it too late to amend this? Worried.
