Going up? Testing out the new carbon fiber "mast"
Thinknode M6 and a cheap carbon fiber extension pole..🤷

The T6 doesn't have arm rests like the Z6. It had these notches that seem like make EGO thought of it...
Also EGO, snowblower attachment for T6 when? Haha
Was cleaning out my storage unit and ....Mechassault and a homemade cable with a 256mb flash drive and a...save game. I use to meet people at the local blockbuster and using my inverter and my car I'd softmod their Xbox for $50. At one point I had a line up.
I'm developing some things for the DC. I'm hoping to find other developers and testers. Is there a community or discord outside of reddit?
Thanks.
Little wrp proxy action and were online.
Hey all. I shared my previous work on getting a data modem working for the DC. I made a simple 9V USB-PD based injector and it worked for Web Browsing and 4x4 Evo. But the game I REALLY wanted to play was Quake 3. Q3 requires a dial-tone to be detected or else it won't dial a fake num to connect. This is called blind dialing and Q3 doesn't support it. Normally Dreampi just plays a mp3 /wav of a dial tone thru the voice modem and Q3 is happy. Since I am using an external data/fax modem there is no voice component. So I build a RC circuit and setup a DF-Mini. I put the same Dreampi dial-tone on a SD card and wired up a button. I start the modified Dreampi that starts the external modem, then hit connect in Q3, press the dial-tone button and enjoy the 56k modem squeal.
Had some minor tweaking to do to the circuits to ensure a solid connection, also some edits in the notdreamorpi script, plus some hardware settings on the PC.
External modems are cheap and all over ebay or yard sales. I'll be sharing all what I've done soon. More people online with a DC the better 😃
I asked on a previous topic what is the easy way to get my dreamcast online. I then made a 9v LVI using a USBC-PD. The USBC-PD also powers the 56k Modem. I'm using notdreamnorpi instead of DreamPi. I had to modify the code a bit to force the serial modem to answer. Running on my Modernish PC too. Just using the COM header on the motherboard.(Ryzen 5600)
It Works!
I was able to use the web browsers and 4x4 evolution. I tried Quake 3, but it refuses to blind dial without a dialtone. This is only a data/fax modem, so I can't inject a dialtone. I'll have to rig something up. To get other games to blind dial I had to use the web browser and edit the ISP settings and check off Blind Dial. Save, reboot into 4x4 evo, dial up.
Yard sale find. Couple was selling their LM2110 push mower kit. Charger and 6Ah. They said the battery just stopped working one day. Flashes red. I checked it over. And agreed on $150 CAD. Unit was bought in 2024. Made in 2022.
Got it home, tested with one of my other batteries. Mower works great!
Battery. Was showing 24v, really low. Both his and mine charger showed errors. So I took some jumper wire and connected it to another battery of mine. Got some power moving, voltage up to 40v. Only takes a few seconds. Put it on the charger, and it's back to life.
Mowed the front lawn with it.. battery lasted 48 minutes. Pretty darn close to max capacity.
Sometimes you find a deal.
Hey everyone. I like most of us in the northern hemisphere have started opening my pool. Last year when I packed everything up, and stored in a heater garage it was working. Now my Hayward T-Cell 5 is giving me problems.
When I first removed the winter cover, and began cleaning/filtering. I let it run for a few days. I came back and the salt level was 2000 ppm. Pretty standard for after a winter for me. I added ~2 bags and waited 2 more days. It only came up to 2100 ppm, which I thought was odd. I added 2 more bags and the level came up to 3000 ppm. I turned on the generator and it began making chlorine.
I checked on it a day later and noticed I was getting check salt, inspect cell lights. I cycled through the diagnostics using the button and saw that now my salt PPM is 0. So I figured it was time to clean the unit. I disassembled it, and saw no build up or debris. I rinsed anyway, and soaked for a bit in dilute cleaner. I reinstalled and waited another day. Still was reading 0 ppm. I ran some more cleaner that I had. This was meant to just run into the skimmer, I tried that. Again waited a day, no difference. I manually tested the water several times as well and the readings were always around 3000-3200 ppm.
I read online about trying to get an instant salinity reading, I tired it many times. I don't think my controller supports it tbh.
Is my generator dead? Time to replace it? Collectively it's been used 12hr a day from June-Aug for 4 years. Again stored indoors during winter. I always keep my pool at optimal chemistry, so I'm just a little disappointed.
Thanks,
Holy crap this thing is bright. 6Ah battery has a runtime of 84hrs on the lowest setting. The SOS is REALLY bright. Bluetooth is nice. Can change the brightness and turn on/off. The hanging hook is thick, which is really needed because with the battery..its heavy.
Hey all,
I'm looking for feedback and experiences on the Ego 1400w inverter PST1400.
I currently have a T6 Tractor, and the smaller 180w inverter. It works great for smaller things and charging but I need a bit more power during outages. So I have the 6X6Ah batteries.
I'm interested in getting the inverter and a couple it with a few panels I have with the xt60 plug. My idea is to get the bare tool, and just build out my own solar generator of sorts.
What's the experiences like with the inverter and has anyone used the solar input function?
Thanks
Assembled in 20 minutes. Gotta stay outta the sun! Also a set of Bluetooth speakers from Costco fits up in the canopy. Next is to add a fan haha.
