A Toxic Love Story

So about the new doc....I want my 90 minutes back. Actually 83 because I had to stop it. I literally couldn't finish it. Almost quit halfway through but told myself it would get better. It didn't.

Netflix loves a catfish documentary and I love them for that, but they could have kept this one. It was weird and confusing and the opposite of good. I'm upset.

New Gabriela x Milania selfie. On a scale of 1-10….

How awkward do you think family dinners are these days? Absolutely love that they’re still good enough to post selfies, etc together on the gram but I can’t imagine what this dynamic is like now after everything.

Not trying to be funny, but…Where I come from, snitches get stitches. Period. We don’t know what happened so I respect that Gabriella did what she felt was necessary in the moment but Lordt…I can’t imagine calling the cops on my (famous) sister, having it become a whole news story and then continuing on as if everything is fine and dandy.

Famous or not, unless somebody’s life is being threatened, I’m never calling the feds on my family especially my immediate family. PERIOD.

I’m Black, though, so I feel like I don’t need to elaborate further on why this couldn’t be me.

Good for yall though. Can’t wait for the new season.

Edit: Gabriella’s name is spelled with two LL’s. Can’t fix the caption, sorry sis!

Riley theory.

There have been a lot of posts about how rude Riley is this season and rightfully so, but I have a feeling that her attitude has a lot to do with how her friends (namely Charlie) treated her last year. She very much got the “angry Black woman” edit at times and Charlie was super out of pocket when she tried to hold his hand at Gia’s pasta party I believe and he just swatted her away saying, “don’t touch me.” That shit hurts. I don’t remember him ever speaking to anyone else that way except maybe Georgia I guess. But when all but two of your friends/the cast are white (and you’re the only “fully Black” cast member) that shit hits differently. It feels micro-aggressive and I can’t imagine how it felt for her to watch that and certain other scenes back.

I’m not making excuses for her because I too think her rudeness is off-putting af but I get the feeling that she’s got a chip on her shoulder and simply isn’t taking their shit this season. And honestly, rightfully so. I would also feel some type of way after seeing how she was treated last season. I’ve been the only Black friend in a group of white friends and it’s exhausting sometimes, the micro-aggressions you deal with. But again, I don’t think it’s okay for her to be so rude and so entitled. It’s incredible uncomfortable to watch. I hope she grows from watching this season back.

I'm in Vegas currently, at the same hotel that Herro was in (coincidentally) and I saw the altercation

I'm in Vegas, attending a CBA course that I paid for and the hotel that I'm staying in is coincidentally the same one in which this altercation occurred in.

It was in the hotel gym. Doors were closed and there was security at the front preventing anyone from coming / entering. Other people were there too getting a workout in. Doors were closed, so you couldn't hear anything, but the side-wall of the gym is entirely glass so you can see everything.

The altercation wasn't actually bad as the tweet by Shams suggests. Bam shoved Herro with one arm after the conversation got heated and then the two were broken up and separated. The push was pretty aggressive - Herro went back several feet but was never knocked off his legs. There was no punch thrown. I could see at the start of the interaction that Tyler was surprised to see Bam there and he tried to dab him up as Bam approached him, and Bam didn't do it. Further words were exchanged than and it started getting heated. People eventually came to separate them, which is when Bam one-armed shoved Tyler.
