Can I play with my friend if they have the same exact game from steamrip?
Might be a dumb question but I’m trying to play phasmophobia with my friend, do I have to do the online fix or can we just play together if it’s the same?

I bought a seat of Facebook marketplace, has the rails on the bottom and recently I saw another post talking about the seating position since he had load cell pedals and when braking the guy was lifting up from the seat a little. The replies were pointing out that he needed to change his seating position and angle the seat a little.
The seat I bought I don’t think I’ll be able to do that. & today I just saw another seat that has the mounts on the side so I would be able to change it however needed.
The black seat is the one I already bought with the rails on the bottom and the red one has the side mounts. Should I buy the red one and sell the black one? Or would I be able to change the seat/angle however I need with the rails on the bottom?
I haven’t bought a rig yet but I did buy the base which is a Moza R12 and simsonn plus x pedals.
What would be a good/ideal motherboard for a ryzen 7 7800X3D? I currently have a AsRock B850 riptide with a ryzen 5 9600x paired with a 9070 non xt. I’m looking to get into sim racing and have bought all the parts but the rig itself. I seen someone mention on someone else post that for triple monitors, X3D cpus are better. Well lucky I have someone on FB marketplace close to me selling on for 250. So thinking about buying that but you guys already know the fiasco with the AsRock motherboards. I wouldn’t want to put a 7800X3D on that riptide.
1-what would be a good motherboard for the 7800X3D?
2-if I get it, is it a good upgrade for sim racing like worth it?
3-someone is selling a Asus Tuf x870 wifi plus close to me for 150, I know that’s a better motherboard but all the reviews I see they talk about the RAM not doing good or being able to be set at 6000 or expo running good. Does anyone here have this motherboard?
Just like the title says, I’ve been thinking lately of switching over to Linux. I’ve gotten some Linux OS suggested to me on IG like catchyOS, bazzite, nobara, Ubuntu or mint. The last two were suggested as beginner friendly. But I have some questions and maybe more might come with the replies I get here.
Luckily I have two SSDs so l can try a dual boot type setup until everything is good with the Linux OS.
I use my PC mainly for gaming with light web browsing. I built it about a year ago and the specs are
Ryzen 5 9600x
Amd 9070 non xt
2x16 cl30 6000 ram
I’m getting the parts for my first sim rig, I’ve already bought the base and steering wheel which is the Moza R12 with a KS wheel. I had made a post about the stuff that I was going to get and was told/suggested to look into simjack UT pedals and/or simsonn plus x pedals.
Questions on pedals
1.Are they pretty much the same just different company?
2.Should I get them directly from the website or Amazon is good?
3.What does the H1, H2, H3 mean on the kits?
Now onto the next set of question about the rigs. I bought a racing seat from FB marketplace for $100 so lucked out on that. But it has the rails on the bottom, another post I made I was told it could/would work but I would have to do some modifications or a base for it to work with some rigs that have the seat bracket on the side and not bottom but it was doable. Also I’m not sure if a universal deck would work for my Moza R12 or need a designated Moza wheel deck.
There’s a few rigs I’m looking at but I really like the TR80
4.would this work with my seat to get it on the rig?
https://trakracer.com/products/universal-seat-brackets-for-recline-seats-and-office-chairs-2?variant=43717393154239
5.if I pick the TR80 is it strong enough for the R12? Or is the TR40 strong enough for it without flexing?
6.if I use the seat bracket from question 4, can I also use the universal seat bracket 18 stage adjustable for gt and formula seating positions? Is there something I can buy to use this on my seat?
https://trakracer.com/products/copy-of-o-s-seat-bracket-for-gt-formula-seating-position?variant=41153405288639
7.can I use the universal wheel deck or should get a Moza designated one?
I’m really between the TR40/80 or the GT1 Evo Simracing Cockpit with the integrated monitor mount but those are sold out. Just not sure if the Simlab one would work with my seat. I’m looking at other cheaper ones too that my seat will fit right in so might be leaning more towards one of those like
6S-Slim V2 Sim Racing Chassis-$349 currently out of stock
https://6sigmasimracing.com/products/6s-slim-sim-racing-cockpit?variant=49080014995702#shopify-product-reviews
SIMGASM | Hobby Aluminum Sim Racing Cockpit - Black-$476 with monitor mount integrated and keyboard mount without those 2 it would be $291 with to me is worth it just a simple rig.
https://simgasm.com/collections/hobby-sim-racing-cockpits/products/hobby-racing-simulator-black
8.With eh simgasm one I’m guessing I would need the bottom mount for the base?
I’ve downloaded maybe like 4-5 games since I started with fitgirl without a problem but now I see more and more post here about spyware and what not. My question is … I only have ublock and windows defender, what else can I do or is there any other layer of safety I can add to my pc to make sure I don’t fall victim to this? I download through magnet to qbittorent
I just got my base and steering wheel from moza, it delivered faster than I thought. Got the base yesterday and the steering wheel came in today. That part doesn’t matter just happy but my question here today might be dumb but I’m looking into maybe buying a TR40 or TR80 for my moza R12 but the price of the seats is a little high for what I would like to pay for them. On FB marketplace I found a seat from a dodge neon srt4 for $80 which is not bad at all and I would like to know if I would be able to make it work and put it on either the TR40 or TR80.
Any suggestions or insight is highly appreciated and I would buy the seat like tomorrow if I can make it work even if I’m not getting the rig yet sadly because of space but we moving in the next 6months to a bigger place.
With the prices of SSDs going through the roof, I thought of maybe getting a seagate 4tb hdd just for storing them and if/when I want to play them I would just transfer them to the faster SSDs. Currently I have a 1tb 990pro and a 2tb SN850X. The 1tb is about 68% full and the 2tb is about 38% and there’s more games I want to download so just thinking ahead. I do play different games all the time so it’s not just one at all time.
I built my pc about at the end of July last year. Didn’t worry about power outages since the last 4-5 years that I’ve lived in this city, I’ve never had one not even short ones. But about a week ago or so small ones started happening. It has been two so far and very short like everything turns off and maybe a second later everything turns back on. Both times I was gaming on my PC, so now I’m worried about it.
But how do I figure out which or how much I need from an UPS?
My pc has
Mobo-Asrock b850 riptide
CPU-Ryzen 5 9600x
Gpu-Gigabyte 9070 OC non xt
2 SSDs
Aio-icue link titan 360 rx rgb aio
PSU-Rm850e
5 rx120 fans
Soon I will be building my first rig and I’ve seen that some people who have ordered their equipment directly from moza have had to wait for it for months. Is this still happening? Should I buy directly from moza or amazon?
