New house came with a screened in gazebo. What are some creative ways I can use this space?

I don’t think we will use this gazebo in its current space because of bugs and it’s not very convenient. I would love to out it to good use so it’s not just sitting collecting dust. I am open to any creative idea and also okay with doing some remodeling. The interior has a fan and outlets. I also have some glass panels that can be inserted over the screens, but I haven’t tried installing them and I also don’t know if I have enough for all windows.

So far the only ideas I have are a catio (would need to tunnel a connection from my house), or remove the screens and make it a kids playhouse.

Help with layout in this multi-purpose space

I’m trying to make my basement a usable space for both kids and adults. My vision is to have the section to the right of the pool table (not pictured) as a play area. This leaves the space near the bar for adult sitting. I’d like to place a couch and TV. We use the pool table often, and envision this space as a place where our kids (and friends kids) can play while the adults hangout. We like hosting so we’d like to maximize seating.

I am struggling to decide how to place furniture, and the TV (65” wall mounted).

The foosball table is gone. The wall with windows is longer in person (about 12.5” wide).

DPO unknown - you all helped tremendously with my last pregnancy. Any faint line? I feel like I might see one but hard to say

Can we afford this backyard makeover?

Late 20’s, early 30’s, single income for now (one kid and a SAHP) $250,000 base, ~$120-$180k RSU’s/year

Assets:
$188k brokerage
$35k emergency fund (we should probably have more cash here)
$299k retirement (maxing 401k and IRA)
$990k home value (just purchased and put $400k down)

Debts:
$591k mortgage

NW: ~$922,000

Anticipating $30k in July, $30k in November and $30k in January post tax from RSU’s

Planning to put ~$100k into the backyard ($50k in replacing the rotting decks, $50k into a pool with a patio). We would pay cash and do this in Spring 2027.

Are we making a mistake? I know we won’t see this money back on the house, but we plan to be here at least 20 years. This is the home we will raise our kids in and we will use the backyard everyday for 3 seasons. The deck replacement is pretty much non-negotiable.

I’m also considering ~$10k in fencing (we have a lot of land).
