Why does this occur every time when receiving a star in SMP?

Why does this occur every time when receiving a star in SMP?

First of all, when a character gets the star, the person who receives it does some victory animation, while the other three players do some animation of sadness.

It’s interesting at first, but it becomes kind of repetitive after a few turns.

Second, it doesn’t just happen at regular star spaces - it happens with Hidden Block Cards, stealing stars from Lakitu, giving a star to last place on an Extra Bad Luck space, etc.

I don’t know why this is a thing, but it feels off for Mario Party.

What are y’alls thoughts on this? And why does this occur every time on Super Mario Party only when a character receives the star? (Excuse the long paragraphs)

P.S this is from a YT video, apologies

The only NCRR/NCDOT locomotive with the name “Town” in it.

NCDOT EMD F59PH 1871 “Town of Cary”

This locomotive was purchased in 2017 from (I presume to be) GO Rail in Canada.

What's wrong with Gemini?

I've been asking it to respond to some of the prompts it gives me, but for every instance I ask, it throws up an error message. It especially seems to be occurring with Flash-Lite.

Do any of you know why it suddenly decided to go down?

Which EAS Alert Would You Never Want to See? (Not a Nuclear Power Plant Warning or a National Emergency Message)

Not including Nuclear Power Plant Warning or a National Emergency Message for obvious reasons.

Evacuation Immediate Error on NWS Website

While trying to look at the text product of an Evacuation Immediate alert, the NWS website gave me a 500 "Internal Server Error." The same happened to a Local Area Emergency alert on the website.

Welp, it looks like the website's software evacuated too as part of the EVI.

Not Normal for Star Crossed Skyway

Looks like the Yellow Toad is dealing with radioactive materials, rather than mini ztars... he'd better get the HAZMAT team in the room. (This is fake, obviously. I edited this with Microsoft Paint.)

Is it just me, or are EAS Scenario Nuclear Power Plant Warnings just wrong and unrealistic?

For the past few days, I've been thinking about Nuclear Power Plant Warnings that are issued in EAS mocks. There is typically a sequence followed:
- A Civil Emergency Message for a 'radiological advisory' or site area emergency, resulting in a 10-mile radius evacuation (the emergency planning zone)

- The actual Nuclear Power Plant Warning for the general emergency, with an evacuation radius of 50, 75, 100, or even 250 mile radius of the plant, with not evacuating resulting in 'putting your life in extreme danger' or facing 'certain death.'

- A Civil Danger Warning for a fire at the plant that is melting down, with an expansion of the evacuation radius in case more radioactive materials are launched.

- The plant explodes, resulting in a National Emergency being declared due to a chain-reaction of nuclear power plant exploding.

NGL, I find this to be completely unrealistic for a nuclear power plant warning. What's more, some nuclear power plant warnings execute immediate evacuation despite hazardous conditions existing, such as severe weather damage (either from thunderstorms, hurricanes, winter weather, etc.) Wouldn't that be dangerous, given how evacuating would put yourself in more danger due to damage?

I'm not saying that the EAS scenarios are wrong, but it seems off to me how an evacuation can be mandated for a nuclear power plant warning for a large mile radius if only the 10-mile EPZ is of the most imminent danger, as well as evacuating after severe weather causes damage.

What are y'all's takes on how Nuclear Power Plant Warnings are handled in EAS scenarios?

Not Descriptive Enough

No explanation needed, just a wave of confusion from the Emergency Alert System.

P.S. I would like to apologize for the Local Area Emergency post that I uploaded a while back, sincerely. I only censored the name for privacy concerns, but I now understand that it was more important not to censor to avoid confusion.

Worst Civil Danger Warnings ever issued as NWS Text Products

No explanation is needed. Just 3 Civil Danger Warnings, issued for the stupidest reasons.

Two EAS Alerts at the Same Time (Local Area Emergency, Civil Emergency Message)

Here are two alerts for the price of one.

A Local Area Emergency for a missing person in Oregon and a Civil Emergency Message for a wildfire in Idaho.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE WAS PERSONAL INFORMATION IN THE LOCAL AREA EMERGENCY, SO I HAD TO CENSOR IT. I apologize.

Drunk EAS (Civil Emergency Message)

This is probably the most bizarre Civil Emergency Message that has been seen on the National Weather Service website.

Someone must have panicked while writing this alert... or they are unqualified for their job lol

2022 Civil Danger Warning, Peoria Illinois (clarifying the truth)

This was a Civil Danger Warning that was issued for Peoria, Illinois, on 1 February 2022 for a citywide parking ban.

However, this particular CDW was sent out in mistake. According to the Peoria Star, this alert was meant to be sent out as a "Civil emergency warning." I have no clue what a "Civil Emergency Warning" means, but I'm assuming this was meant to be a Civil Emergency Message, which fits much more better for a parking ban than a Civil Danger Warning

Whether intended to be a Civil Danger Warning or not, this alert is slightly lame compared to the 2011 Civil Danger Warning issued for Wisconsin.

Civil Emergency Message, 19 May 2026, Cheyenne Wyoming

Although this is a rare alert, this alert would have been better off as a 911 Telephone Outage Emergency, considering how there is a phone outage with 911 lines in the alert. Still a rare catch nonetheless. And no, I am not from Wyoming.
