Further education options after an HF in Computer Science?

I recently completed my HF in Computer Science and I’m now thinking about what I could do next in terms of further education or professional development.

I’ve been looking into CAS programs, but I’ve also heard from quite a few people that some CAS programs aren’t really worth the money, depending on the field and career goals.

So I’d be interested to hear from people in Switzerland who have an HF in Computer Science:

  • What did you do after your HF?
  • Did you pursue a CAS, DAS, or another qualification?
  • Was it worth the time and money?
  • Are there any other education paths or qualifications you would recommend?
  • Would you rather focus on work experience, certifications, or further studies?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences and any options I might not have considered.

Thanks!

Muay Thai pad work combos

Hey everyone,

I’m really getting into Muay Thai and was wondering if there are any good resources for pad work combinations.

Does anyone know of a PDF/cheat sheet with different combos, or maybe some good YouTube videos that show a variety of combinations specifically for pad work?

I’d love to have something I can use for inspiration when doing pad sessions instead of always repeating the same few combos.

Thanks!

Windy or Raja?

Hi everyone

I'm thinking about buying another pair of Muay Thai gloves, and I'm trying to decide between Windy and Raja.

I don't have any experience with either of these brands. I've used other brands before, but I'd like to add one pair from either Windy or Raja to my collection.

Which one would you recommend, and why? Which of the two is better in terms of comfort, protection, durability, and overall quality?

I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks!

Roborock F25 GT Gen 2 or Dreame H14 Pro?

Hi everyone

I'm trying to decide between the Roborock F25 GT Gen 2 and the Dreame H14 Pro.

The Dreame is currently about €30 more expensive than the Roborock where I live.

My home is mostly hard floors with a few rugs, and I don't have pets. I'm mainly looking for:

  • Strong cleaning performance
  • Good edge cleaning
  • Easy maintenance
  • Reliable self-cleaning
  • Good durability over the long term

I've watched quite a few reviews, and both seem excellent. The Roborock looks like it has great anti-tangle performance and seems very easy to maneuver, while the Dreame also gets a lot of praise.

For those who have used one or both:

  • Which one would you choose today?
  • Is the Dreame worth paying the extra €30?
  • Have you experienced any reliability or maintenance issues with either model?

I'd really appreciate any real-world experiences before I make a decision. Thanks!

What’s the best self-hosted knowledge base for a small company?

Hi everyone,

we’re looking for a self-hosted knowledge base solution for our small company of around 20 employees.

Our main requirements are:

  • easy to use and maintain
  • good search functionality
  • user and permission management
  • low maintenance effort
  • secure access from outside the local network
  • ideally support for backups and two-factor authentication

Which solutions would you recommend? We’ve already looked at tools such as BookStack, Wiki.js, and Outline, but we’re still unsure which option would be the best long-term choice.

What would be the best way to make it securely accessible from outside our local network? VPN, Tailscale, Cloudflare Tunnel, a reverse proxy, or something else?

Thanks for your help and for sharing your experiences!

Why is there no “Hitzefrei” in German-speaking Switzerland?

It cannot be acceptable that students are expected to spend hours in classrooms where temperatures can reach 40°C or even higher. At those temperatures, it is almost impossible to concentrate, learn, or feel well. In my opinion, this is irresponsible and completely unfair to both students and teachers.

In Germany, for example, many schools have some form of “Hitzefrei” meaning students may be sent home early when temperatures become too high. Why does Switzerland not have a similar rule?

It is also already the end of the school year. In many classes, there is not much completely new material being taught anymore. Is it really necessary to keep students inside dangerously hot classrooms just to follow the normal schedule?

I honestly think schools and cantons need to take this issue much more seriously. Either classrooms should be properly cooled and ventilated, or students should be sent home when temperatures become unreasonable.

Can I disable 5G on the Huawei CPE 5s and use 4G only?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about buying the Huawei CPE 5s router. However, 4G performs better than 5G in my area.

Is it possible to disable the 5G connection and force the router to connect to 4G/LTE only? I couldn’t find any clear information about this in the settings or online.

Does anyone here own this router and know whether this is possible?

Thanks!

Should I buy a second Sony SRS-XB100 for stereo, or switch to Tribit StormBox 3 / JBL Flip 7?

Hi everyone,

I currently own a Sony SRS-XB100 and I’m thinking about buying a second one to use them as a stereo pair.

However, I recently came across the Tribit StormBox 3, and I’ve read that it might be better in terms of sound quality, volume, and overall value. Now I’m wondering if it would make more sense to buy two Tribit StormBox 3 speakers instead of getting another Sony XB100.

I’m also considering whether I should skip the stereo-pair idea and just buy one better speaker, maybe something like a JBL Flip 7 or ULTIMATE EARS BOOM 4.

One important thing: I don’t want anything too big. Ideally, the speaker should be around the size of a JBL Flip 7 at most, because portability is important to me.

My main priorities are:

  • good sound quality
  • decent bass for the size
  • good value for the money
  • portable size

What would you recommend?

Should I get:

  1. a second Sony SRS-XB100 for stereo,
  2. two Tribit StormBox 3 speakers,
  3. one JBL Flip 7,
  4. one ULTIMATE EARS BOOM 4
  5. or a completely different Bluetooth speaker around this size?

MiVoice 2380 keeps closing after enrolling test device in Intune

Hi everyone,

I’m currently planning to introduce Microsoft Intune in our environment, so I first installed and tested it on a single test device.

So far, everything seems to be working as expected. However, I’m having an issue with one specific application: our phone system software, MiVoice 2380.

The application starts and works normally at first, but after around 15 minutes (sometimes sooner, sometimes later) the program simply closes by itself. I then have to restart it manually.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with MiVoice 2380 after enrolling a device in Intune? Could this be related to Intune policies, security settings, Defender, or something else?

Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting after 2–3 minutes

Hi everyone,

I’m having a really annoying Wi-Fi issue with my Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming laptop.

The Wi-Fi connection works for a very short time after restarting the laptop, but after around 2–3 minutes it freezes or disconnects completely. After that, I can’t reconnect to Wi-Fi unless I restart the laptop again. The same thing happens every time.

Because of this, I’m currently forced to use LAN/Ethernet, but that’s not always possible for me.

What I’ve already tried:

  • Uninstalled the Wi-Fi driver in Device Manager
  • Reinstalled the Wi-Fi driver
  • Restarted the laptop multiple times

Unfortunately, none of that fixed the issue.

The problem started around 2–3 weeks ago. Before that, Wi-Fi was working normally.

Has anyone had a similar issue with a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming laptop? Could this be a Windows update problem, a faulty Wi-Fi card, BIOS issue, or some power management setting?

Any help would be appreciated.
