A Plague Tale: Innocence or Detroit: Become Human
Hi, steam's basically throwing this away so I decided pick one up. Which one is a better pick for those who've played both? I've heard good things about both of them.
Played Detroit demo awhile ago and it was interesting, except it felt like just picking dialogue type of game and not much of an actual gameplay involvement. Is it like visual novel/movie type thing?
Innocence, heard good things about this too but I'm concerned about the length. I don't like lengthy narrative games. A normal length RPGs take me about 10 years to complete. I'm still on my first playthrough of AC: Odyssey which I played since launch in 2018. So if Innocence is long with many contents, I'm afraid I'll never come to an end with the game.
help me decide! thx~~
didn't think I'd make it
there was a round where I did RA right at 00 and didn't go through. This one was close!
I'm so confused -ending and how it ties in with the series
I just beat the game and it's by far the worst ending I've ever seen. I feel terrible. Zack was such an amazing guy and likeable dude. So sad. Worst ending ever.
But there are some loose ends here.
Unlike in OG FF7 where SOLDIER 1st class wasn't all that (I think we meet them for the first time while trying to save sector 7 tower from falling plate). So it's understandable how Zack dies in OG FF7. Just outnumbered ganged by shinra troops and shot to death. Makes sense.
However, in both FF7 remake and Crisis Core, they've depicted SOLDIER 1st class as some super powered fight machine. Especially Zack beats everyone. My Zack, hammer punched Genesis just twice and he was gone. He can kill literal god (Minerva). Super powerful. The last battle I could've gone on forever without dying if it wasn't required to progress. So I actually think they did well to send infinite troops until the actual player gives up for his death. That's not the loose end I'm talking about.
How the hell did Cloud get so strong within a year to match whatever Zack was????
After the final fight with Genesis, Zack finds out he's been away for 4 years after Nibelheim. So it's only a year before Cloud becomes the merc for Avalanche. What the hell? how?
In OG FF7, not only SOLDIER 1st class isn't all that strong but Cloud isn't all that strong either to start with. He just doesn't say much but still weak. Unlike in the remake he's super strong even in the beginning and matches strength that of 1st class SOLDIER (who is depicted very strong, the bike guy). Like how?
Also the confusion comes in Rebirth intro
>!I didn't beat Rebirth. In fact, the reason why I bought Crisis Core Reunion was because of Rebirth intro. It's totally different to Crisis Core ending. What is going on? I mean, if I get to find out during the gameplay of Rebirth, please don't tell me lol. But if it's some parallel universe theory, please do tell.!<
what is supposed to happen in the final battle (not boss)
I'm fighting waves of shinra soldiers with 3 helicopters and seems like never ending. I have aerial drain and all of genji gears. I'm not gonna die. Even when I get hit by the rocket, I'm healing instantly with aerial drain. It's been 30 ish minutes. I've seen one cutscene with Sephiroth, Cissnei, and Tseng roll into the roulette but nothing happened afterwards.
Am I supposed to die here? What's happening?
untrackken
can someone explain what's going on here?
context: this guy's been spamming SS after every poke. So I'm spamming tracking slap on every poke or ob as well. Somehow he still SS this slap? what's going on. You can clearly see the tracking lines. Is this yet another bug?
getting genji shield without octaslash materia
Hello, I got Genji Shield very easily without the octaslash materia and thought I'd share how I did it.
First of all, I missed Octaslash materia from the shop like a lot of first timers. So I didn't have that.
The mission is M7-6-6 The Determined Recruiter
Upon meeting the Magic pot we need to do 4 things in order.
He'll ask:
Gil Toss
Costly Punch
99,999 dmg
Octaslash
The hardest part is Octaslash because it's randomized.
What I did was let roulette to roll 4 times on each of the requests. If I didn't get it during the first 4 for Gil Toss, I'll do Gil Toss anyway then let it roll another 4 times. This way, I get total of 16 times chance before he leaves. After the 4th roll on Octaslash and it still doesn't roll Sephiroth, just forfeit the fight and start over again. It'll start right back from Magic pot.
The thing is you have to beat the Magic Pot. TWICE! this way. First time beating, he becomes you DMW. Then on the second time he will give Genji Shield.
But doing it like this took me 15min ish altogether. My roll was on High on the first time, normal on the second time.
Hope this helps someone!
controller stopping mid match
anyone else having this issue? it just stops for like 2 seconds. Especially during crucial moments. Like I'd just stand there after popping heat mid combo. It happened so many times just now and checked that steam just had some 3mb update for tekken. So it must be that. Does anyone else have this issue?
are there any medieval looter shooter?
Specifically Division style looter type where I do things either solo or in a team but with swords or spear like medieval weapons. Sorta like For Honor story mode ish with looter mechanics.
Not like Warframe tho. I've played it for a bit but didn't like the visual and how slicey everything was. Looking for something with chunkier swordplay.
are there anything like that?
do people still play and help out noobs in Division 1?
Hi, I've had this game for awhile. Both 1 and 2 but never got to 2 because I never beat 1. This game's a bit hard and I need a team to beat it but no one is playing. Is there way to find players that still play this?
revenge Revenge REVENGE!!
got ganked up but it was super funny! peacekeeper rocks!
our community isn't half bad
It was during the climb from TE to TG. I felt that I needed to level up and created some optimal combo routes for all situations. Also posted some of what I've found in hopes of helping fellow Ninas as well as learn from more advanced players.
Fortunately, people have dropped their own combo routes and I have to admit, those combo routes have been a game changer. It's enough to say that you guys carried me here.
On top of that, I've had some matches from the people I met on the sub. They were all better than me and kicked my ass. But none of them were rude or called me a scrub. Instead, most of them gave me tips on how to get better and about my devastating bad habits and flowchart tendencies. I've learned a lot and they've also carried me here.
Still a long way to go and I do feel that this was where I initially thought I was sure to get to after reaching TG. Because upto here the skill level is not that different. So if you're also around TG, keep grinding, we aren't that different in skills. Having that said, above here is another game changer like it was for me from TE to TG. So back to the shed.
All in all, you guys aren't half bad and I appreciate you all.
PS: Don't get me wrong. You guys still salty af lmao.
this is dedicated to all Hwoarang haters
who says nina has bad oki 🤣
played some "real" tekken today
tried tekken 1 on duckstation today. and o boy was it rough. tells you nothing. I figured out 2 moves by the end of the session. OGs had it really rough. I tried tekken 1, Dead or Alive 1, and Bushido Blade 1. Among those Bushido Blade was the most fun. I wish they bring it back. It never lived past PS1 era.
PS. law is unbeatable in Tekken 1
When I was matched with him I felt lucky because, I know raven very well. One of my mains. We were both TGS in the beginning of the match but I demoted him. Second match was my promo. My hands were shaky in the 3rd round that I made many stupid mistakes!! But all in all, made it!! the blue rank! I sped up the match to 120% in the post.
PS. I stalled a bit at the end because I was still shaky lol
demonstration of the technique begins at 2:45 mark on the video.
I'm seeing almost no one talking about this and thought I should bring it to the community's attention.
Ikari is known for "inventing" or further developing the full crouch hell sweep. While he was doing that, he also accidentally invented full crouch parricide fist which is the perfect mix up.
The reason this is a crazy move is that most pro players and especially super defensive god like Knee, can expect the hell sweep timing off of wavu wavu. Ikari explains in the video that most high level players would fuzz when they see wavu wavu because the timing to pull off hell sweep is consistent while in wavu wavu. But full crouch hell sweep timing is after their fuzz have ended.
This is the reason why no one was able to consistently block his hell sweep during this tournament. In order to block this, the player has to fully commit to crouch block or fully commit to standing block. It's a pure 50/50, you cannot fuzz this. It's the opposite, Ikari can now fuzz his mixup. If he sees them not crouching, he can go to hell sweep or parricide fist. I don't actually know if that's what he actually does but the opponent loses the ability to fuzz for sure.
If you watch the first match after his explanation, the way ikari is leading the match is similar to what happened during evo. Obviously the opponent in this video has skill discrepancies to pro player but the fundamental to which they cannot react to remain the same.
Congratulations to the new evo champion and looking forward to his journey! I just thought that people should know that he won fair and square using difficult techniques and not some fluke or the lack of performance by his opponents.
In one of the cabins there's a painting frame that moves by itself. There's a holotape describing just that. I took a shot at it and it spins again then the house shakes. Then from behind a ghoul tried to attack me. I had my door closed so he couldn't get in but that's some startling moment.
Was there any other purpose/lore than a mild scare for that self spinning painting?
