Why is it a norm in kerala to belittle and shame people who use english?

In this age and time, english understanding is helpful in lot of ways, social and career wise.. Majority degree, pg courses are in english.. It's totally ok, if you can't speak it or didn't had the oppurtunity to learn it.. But, what's with people literally shaming and calling out people speaking english?. Ranjini is a victim to this attitude.. Recently, Mamitha was trolled for speaking english in a telugu interview. Have seen an arguement that, anchor knows malayalam, so she should stick to malayalam.. They were in a interview in a telugu channel. also, Anupama latest interview..Many heroines who acted outside mollywood has been shamed likewise

Have you ever been made to feel inferior because of your Malayalam dialect or slang?

Just saw another post discussing variations in slang and reminded me of times people dictated me how to speak... Im from tvm-kollam border, so my malayalam is a mix of tvm and kollam slang.. When I went to entrance coaching I was mocked for saying തിന്നുക instead കഴിക്കുക by people who had their local slang... I studied college in tvm, my batchmates were mainly from tvm.. Still, My roommate constantly tried to polish my language.. Once I lost my cool and said this is my language and you should tried to be open to other people's slang...I love malayalam language and I love to hear other people's slang and different words

Btw for context, I have won multiple prizes for malayalam literary competitions.. Inclusing A grade for malayalam extempore multiple times in state and first in district.. So my point is I know to speak proper achadi malayalam in professional settings...

Why so much HATE for LDF in reddit, after elections were announced... I mean anything, even slightly favouring LDF is hated upon, downvoted, mass attacked... esp, in 6kerala.... The posts criticising LDF/ Praising UDF gets 100s of upvotes while any thing against the other parties or the good things about LDF is either not approved or are getting very very low views,/ mockery/ downvotes..

LDF govt have its shortcomings, but blind criticism and hatred, I can't understand... Any cause done by LDF is widely frowned upon in reddit... for eg: The powercuts.. I mean it's way way better than 10years ago.. and there wasn't much issues before summer.. We can't expect utopia just like that... and if we say anything on this ground, we are painted as forwarding narratives from elsewhere...

also, regarding Harthals.. In my memory, all parties had conducted harthal... RSS harthal in my area when i was in school became quite violent in our school... we were asked to go back... Why suddenly communists are the bad guys?.. while udf and nda have conducted harthals...

People criticizes for believing in an ideology... The ideology I believe in is Equity.... NDA is clearly a Pro-hindu party.. North indians are literally spewing poison in comments,... Im scared, where this is heading...UDF only has union in its name... People here are forcing "development", while ignoring other fronts...

The basic facility developments have been really great... It's frowned upon and they are asking for mega projects...

I work in healthcare and healthcare sector has become very good... I have first handed experience of seeing the beneficiaries... moreover contained nipah and corona.. which I'm sure, anybody else would have messed up...

Ldf did almost every thing they promised... The ldf manifesto has included everyone, even orphans ("even" is used because haven't seen discussions of their welfare plans before)..

People still believe in being left, are with ldf irl..., but in reddit I can't understand.. it's not healthy debates, it's pure hatred... and claims of cpim will end with this election...

Note: This is my attempt in finding genuine answers... Of you are not a keralite, or are going to spew hatred.. This post is not for you.. I like to have a healthy discussion with fellow comrades
