I dread to think what that certificate is for.

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo. It was behind glass and it was hard to deal with the reflections.

Is there a decent fish n' chip place near the Museum of Making?

Hi everyone. I'm visiting tomorrow and would appreciate recommendations within a reasonable walking distance.

Edit- Somewhere near the train station would be fine too.

Edit again- Thanks for your help to everyone who has responded.

Any idea what this is?

It was shown briefly on Springwatch after a viewer sent in a video of bluetits building a nest in it.

I went to a pet shop the other day and the owner said he had a talking centipede for sale

I became concerned about his mental health and the lack of funding for counselling services but I bought the creature and took it home in a box.

Shorly thereafter, I asked the centipede if it wanted to go out for a pint. Of course there was no response and it eventually shrivelled to a husk through lack of care.

If I was subject to auditory hallucinations, I wonder what I might have heard. Something about shoes and lengthy processes or coded instructions to run amok with a hatchet in a shopping precinct.

An Egret near Kelham island?

I don't know if those birds visit the big weir beside Kelham Island museum and I have less than an amateur's knowledge of wildlife.

I thought that I was looking at a young, small, grey heron today but quickly realised that its plumage was white. It seemed to have a similar body and wing shape to a more common member of its family but it lacked the dark markings on its head. I'm reasonably sure that it wasn't a gull.

There wasn't much time for an uneducated birder to identify it but I thought that I saw a dark appendage of some kind, either skin or plumage, hanging down the front of its throat from where the lower part of its beak met the neck. That doesn't appear in any pictures I've seen of the Little Egret.

So said by a long time friend who I intoduced to the '100% pears clip' and who I think about disowning.

If he'd said "I like chocolate but I prefer gum boils" or "sunlight is good but leukemia is better" it would have struck me the same way.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask. I'll delete it if it is.

Is there a train ticket I could buy that would allow me to travel to Filey from Sheffield and back in a day, stopping off at different places en route?
