Same nap, viewed at different times, oura ring changed data each time?

This is all one nap, I did wake up in the middle when my partner came over, then decided to go back to sleep. Somehow the oura ring has 3 pretty different data interpretations of that same nap? It adds and removes REM at one point too.

Just tried my first antihistamine during a flare-up; regret holding out

I’ve avoided taking antihistamines just because I didn’t like taking a pill for it. My partner has allergies and gave me one after signing me, and it worked great. Can’t believe I’ve held out on taking antihistamines! Anyone notice any long-term effects with taking them frequently?

Lexapro and sleep

If I take it in the morning? I fall asleep in class. If I take it in the evening? This…

What’s the solution to this madness? I feel like I’m on a good dose for me. My psychiatrist recommended if I get insomnia that I should take it during the morning, but that doesn’t work for me. Any recommendations for fragmented sleep while on lexapro?

I’ve never seen a cat go so insane from catnap. He was dragging it out of my hands before I could even open the ziplock bag!!!

New medical concern during school… anyone diagnosed with narcolepsy or the like during PA school?

Soooo I’ve been having issues commuting to school this year. I’ve been having “visual motor control” issues, aka forcibly lowkey falling asleep behind the wheel while driving, since I started driving and just thought it was something I’d have to work around. It’s sort of a recent thing, but I’m commuting upwards of an hour to/from school sometimes and not carpooling like I used to. Carpooling used to make my issues much more reasonable, although tbh it still happened more times than I’d like to admit. I’m more sleep deprived than ever since it’s summer semester, and my driving issues are worse than ever. I accidentally scraped a car the other day while parking, so I decided to make an appointment about my issues.

Well, in order to get evidence for my appointment I decided to record my entire car ride home. What I saw was terrifying. My eyes literally jutted outwards and up while driving. It looked like I was having a stroke or a seizure but with somewhat retained consciousness. I’m assuming I either have narcolepsy or some kind of intrusive sleep symptoms of adhd (my mother and brother are diagnosed with adhd, but I can’t really talk to them their symptoms due to some complicated circumstances). Im not currently diagnosed with either…

I obviously still need to get to my program every day since there is a strict attendance policy. I put in an excused absence for my doctor’s appointment tomorrow, but I’m kind of freaking out. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

He was NOT understanding the word “moderation” and demanded the whole baggie I had. The photos were worth it though lmao

I think my old cat is allergic to my new cat (and has asthma)

Background: I recently got a new long haired cat who’s an absolute sweetheart that I do not plan on getting rid of. We’re his 4th owners, and he’s under 2 years old. He hasn’t even lost any of his homes due to behavioral issues, just very unfortunate events.

We already have a current cat (about 4 years old) who has what I assumed were seasonal allergies. Her allergies act up around her shedding season, and she only sheds twice a year. She’s otherwise the lowest hair burden cat I’ve ever met.

Shes had a few, very sparse, incidents that looked like asthma to me in the past, but never frequent enough to be investigated. Recently, they started happening much more frequently and her allergies got much worse, especially when he started cohabiting the same spaces as her. I wound up taking her to the vet for fatigue and allergies plus mentioned the incidents that looked like possible asthma. My vet saw a video and said she agreed.

So far I have started: loratidine 5mg / day, l-lysine powder in her food, and was already giving the new cat purine proplan liveclear because my bf has mild allergies to the cats. We also have an air purifier, although it may not be big enough. I also groom the new cat about weekly and use dry shampoo weekly/biweekly.
I have seen improvements with the loratidine and the L-lysine.

TLDR: my old cat is allergic to cats, and I just got a second cat.

Does anyone have any additional recommendations to help her allergies?

I feel like I’m already maxing everything out and she’s still a little bit sniffly. She’s a LOT better after a few days (about 5-7 days now?) of allergy meds and actively caring for her allergies. I don’t really want to resort to an inhaler eventually, but I’m concerned about the long-term.

Is this a valve?

Friend pointed at my large vein and said around the antecubital crease it looks like I may have a valve. I bruise easily after workouts that utilize that joint and after bloodwork sometimes. You can see light bruising permanently. If there’s a valve there that makes more sense.

My baby LOVES aggressive stremtching

Poor baby is a little congested by her seasonal allergies in this video. Please ignore that the car engine sounds like it needs maintenance, I swear she gets her Claritin, L-lysine, vet visits and TLC. She’s exactly where she wants to be

My new son actually has brain cells, I think I’m in danger

He’s learned to associate shoes with leaving, can open every door in the house, has been experimenting with how the front door works and tries to play fetch with the automatic vacuum (I clean up his toys, and he’ll carry them to the robot and place it in front of it)… i had no clue I was signing up for such a cute ball of trouble…
