Screens in the classroom CCS

As my family and i look into moving to Carmel in the coming years before our little one starts school, we’re wondering if CCS has made any changes to the 1:1 computer policies this year. I saw posts a couple months ago but wondering if anyone has any insight. We really think screens are detrimental to learning and want to avoid at all costs, and are wondering if it’s even worth moving to Carmel if we could just stay in Indy and send the kiddo to private school. Any thoughts appreciated!

How do you make it all work?

We have a lot of goals: bigger house, daycare so we don’t have our moms watching the kid, and myself going part time. How the hell do people make this stuff happen? We both make good money for our LCOL area. Is it just inflation making everything impossible?

5 month old rough bedtime

Our five month old has always been a good sleeper, has been mostly sleeping through the night since 2 months old, and usually went to bed at night super easily without a fuss. The past month or so though, more than half the nights he just cries and cries for at least an hour until he finally falls asleep on me or dad and we successfully transfer to the pack and play. Other nights we put him in there sleepy but happy and he just falls asleep. We’ve never had him on a schedule for naps or bedtime so im not sure what the correlation is. I think his wake windows are pretty short, only like 1.5 hours, and he usually sleeps about 9:30p-7:30a. We also don’t really have a bedtime routine because i can’t tell if baths help or not. Where do we start??

Just came up on instagram “working mom of 4” paying off debt with money she makes from engagement and donations from followers… no context on what the debt is from lol

Moving to part time after promotion

I would really love to move to part time after my husband gets a new job, hopefully this year. This should be a simple status change at my job to reduce my hours and we have tons of part time staff. I also am trying to get a promotion myself. Is it bad form to ask to go part time soon after getting a promotion?

Bird photo settings

Ok these are literally the first ever photos I’ve taken of birds so please be nice! I’m working on an a6400 with a Sigma 18-50, and I think these photos look pretty soft. I think my windows are dirty lol but how high do i need my shutter speed to be? It‘s at 1/160 in these photos. What about autofocus settings? Any feedback appreciated!
