solo bbq / samgyup in Davao?

Hello, may solo BBQ or samgyup ba here sa Davao? preferably something similar to Yakiniku Like na may sariling grill

afaik most samgyup/BBQ places here are pang-group dining. One time, I arrived early at this one samgyup place para magpa-reserve ng table, pero nagkaroon ng slight miscommunication with the staff. Akala niya siguro ako lang yung magdi-dine in, tapos dun ko lang nalaman na if solo ka kakain, you have to pay for 2 people. I was shocked, pero sabi nila common practice daw

Now I’m craving samgyup or BBQ in general, pero I really like going out solo 🥲 like I’m not a super heavy eater naman na mag-mukbang jud, I just like unli/buffet kasi I can try out multiple dishes

Can you guys please suggest samgyup/BBQ places that accept solo diners without charging extra fees. Bonus if may sariling grill per table like yakiniku 🙏

Thank u in advance ^^

What should I review before starting my first hospital job next month?

Hi! I'm looking for some advice on how to prepare for my first hospital job.

I graduated and passed my boards last year, but I didn't apply for jobs right away. I took about a 6-month break to pursue some personal interests. Now, I've received a job offer from a hospital, and my training starts next month.

I'm excited, but tbh also really nervous because I haven't done anything pharmacy-related during those 6 months, so I'm definitely feeling "rusty." I don't think I'm a slow learner or anything . It's just that I know na I've forgotten a lot and want to seriously refresh before I start.

For those already working in hospitals, what subjects or topics would you recommend reviewing? Are there any resources, books, or "must-know" concepts that would help me prepare?

I'd really appreciate any tips or advice. Thank you so much! 🤍

SPMC Government Internship Program (GIP) Results?

Hello, may results na ba for the SPMC Government Internship Program (GIP) in partnership with DOLE?

Based on previous batches here in Davao, where do they usually post the results? Or do they email the successful applicants?

When I did some internet sleuthing, I found that for GIP programs in other regions, the results were reportedly released a few days after the application deadline. However, I couldn't find any specifics on how the results were disseminated.

For reference, here is the original post by SPMC:

BS Pharmacy graduate — Study Abroad

Hello! I'm a BS Pharmacy graduate and got my license last year. I'm interested in pursuing the clinical/research side of pharmacy and studying abroad

The problem is that I'm honestly pretty lost on how the whole process works

From the schools I've looked into so far, it’s mostly PhD. However, many PhD programs seem to require applicants to reach out directly to faculty members and apply to join their specific research projects/labs. I'm not sure if that's the standard route, how to approach professors, or even how to know whether I'm qualified enough to reach out in the first place.

My grades in college were good, pero one of my concerns is that I don't have many extracurriculars. I mean I joined seminars and school events, pero no longterm clubs/orgs except for my 1st year. Although, I do have a pretty solid (group) thesis paper.

Scholarship recommendations would also be really appreciated <3

Any reality checks/advice? Thanks!

Found a lump and I’m scared

Hello! I found a lump today and I’m dying of overthinking right now 😭 okay maybe I shouldn’t use the word dying but I’m genuinely scared right now

Details about me:

  • Female, 22 y/o, Filipina
  • Irregular period (I haven’t got this checked yet since it never really bothered me. I get my period every 3-5 months. I don’t get menstrual pain or period cramps. The only thing that changes when I get my period is that I sleep a lot, like twice more sleep that I usually get)
  • My period just ended today. My period isn’t heavy but this time, the flow was less heavy than usual.
  • Idk if this is relevant but I just recovered from mild ear infection. I’m fully healed now and I took my last antibiotic Cefuroxime this morning.

How I discovered it:

So I was taking a quick night shower and suddenly found a lump in the side of my right breast, near the sternum. Like slightly off-center of my chest. This was new. It was not there early this morning when I also took a bath.

The lump is hard. Almost the size of a marble. It doesn’t move around. Lowkey feels like it’s attached to my chest bone. Not painful. Even pressing it just feels like mild discomfort at most. However, the size alone makes it unmistakably a lump. I am freakishly aware it’s there. No redness. I pressed around that same boob and found no other lumps. Nothing suspicious in the other boob.

I’m really hesitant to go to a doctor tomorrow right away when I just discovered this lump tonight, because of the cost & I don’t want my parents to worry. Like I’m split between feeling an urgency to get this checked right away and a feeling of maybe I’m overthinking this.

Questions:

  • What is the likelihood that this is cancer? 😭
  • How soon should I go to a doctor to do a check? Do I have to go as soon as possible?
  • Also stupid question but might as well ask: If I go to the doctor, it should be an OB-GYNE right?
